Okay I do believe you when you say if I go through the process I should be eligible for the free ice cream. However, knowing how even long-time cashiers don’t seem to know their own coupon policy, will they know this special offering?

It’s been on Jewel’s Facebook page since yesterday (link is above in article.) I usually try to check their Facebook daily for promos like these, but I’ll confess that my Jewel cashier at Huntley whispered it to ME while I was checking out! So, I can tell you the Huntley cashiers certainly know about it :)
I would ask them to check their own Facebook if you get turned down. The cashiers at my store have a sheet at the register with a barcode on it to make the ice cream free — they just need to scan it.

I just did it in the store- but a few bumps as the cashier just came in and wasn’t told. Another cashier showed him the memo with the bar code scan to take off the ice cream but my ice cream didn’t work, inexplicably. Another cashier saved the day and took off the $3.50. So a few bumps but appreciate the free ice cream :)

Got the free ice cream with no problem, thank you Jill
Cashier commented that a lot of people today were calling him a “turkey”
Cute
Even got the butter pecan flavor as it looked so good in
the photo you posted

thanks. i got the butter pecan as well; power of suggestion and all.
while i hit MyMixx a couple times a day, i barely visit their Facebook page. doing it daily takes tenacity and patience. as a side effect, you probably know exactly how to stack an end display without it tipping over, and can rank the smiles of at least 20 Jewel managers in the Chicago metropolitan area.

My free Turkeyhill ice cream transaction went smoothly at the Palatine location (Plum Grove Road store). The checkout teenager said I was the first in her line to get the free ice cream. She said most customers did not know about the promo. She said all the cashiers knew about it and will get their free ice cream when their shift ends. She asked me how I knew about it. I told her, “Jewel-Osco Facebook!”
