New Super-Couponing Tips column: Sale-price sabotage

My syndicated Super-Couponing Tips column for the week is entitled “Children’s fundraisers tapping out parents’ budget.”
 Here’s an excerpt:

“I remarked that I had been in nearly every day the week the detergent was on sale. I was shocked when the cashier said, ‘It wasn’t on the shelf because the manager took it all off the shelf that week. He didn’t want the couponers to just buy it all.’”

This sounds like the Walgreens sale of a couple weeks ago. I often have trouble finding sale items on the shelf at Walgreens–even 1st day of sale. There has been NO herbal essence for this weeks sale and even the last time. I commented to Walgreens and have really not heard what is going on. Why have a sale if there is no stock for the item. I can understand one ad coming out and not having the product but weeks later another ad and no product. I have been to three stores and all out.
