Thanks for the quick response Jill! I did get my 3 DVDs and I watched mine already :o)

I KNOW my sister in law and my twin sister are going to LOVE this as a christmas present.. I may even get them their own expandable folders to help them get started :o)

I do know they both already spend over $100/wk on groceries ALONE (for just two people! yikes!) and they both have budgets to stick to... this should help them out ALOT!

THANKS JILL that was fast! I was excited to study the DVD after my sister in the burbs got me interested. This is my new hobby. It benefits the community and give that "gambler's rush" when you get the cats!!!! I spoke to an employee at the Peru library and am hoping to see a class held there! Maybe even supercouponing 2?????!!!! I am having a blast!!! Thanks again!

Before we shot the DVD, I really sat down and looked at all of the examples that I teach -- and anything that I thought might change at some point (Walgreens stacking their own store coupons together, for example) I replaced for the DVD shoot with teaching examples that would stand true, regardless of potential policy changes.

As anyone who attended the video shoot knows, filming something like this is a major project with a sizeable crew of people involved (not to mention time and expenses) - so we shot it with the intention that it wouldn't need to be re-shot in the near future.

In the live class, I use more examples local to Chicagoland - for the DVD, I used some from stores around the country. I tried to find a nice balance of examples that would serve as teaching examples, regardless of what might happen policy-wise.

I always have DVDs with me at class. Some of the libraries do not allow speakers to sell anything in class, which is certainly their right, of course ... but if that is the case, see me in the parking lot :)

We recieve your articles from the Erie, PA newspaper. So we live quite a ways away from where you hold your seminars. This will be great and I'm looking forward to getting this DVD. I have been doing some couponing and have had very good sucess with it. I feel that there could be so much more for me to learn. Plus it will make a great video for my mother in law to watch too.
Looking forward to a number 2 DVD too.

As with all things, moderation is key. :) The cookie and ice cream stockpiles should last many, many months -- we've seen some good ice cream deals before, but I don't think I've ever had THIS much in the house at once, ever. This is a new record. And, chasing after two preschoolers all day long definitely keeps me pretty physically active!

I just ordered mine to go to my friend for her birthday. She lives in Milwaukee, was laid off and is downsizing to a studio this month because she can't make rent, hard times financially. She obviously couldn't attend a class, and it is so hard to explain the entire landscape of supercouponing over the phone, so this will be the perfect way for her to learn. I'm fairly new at this (just about 3 months) and while I've learned a lot from a good friend teaching me the ropes, I haven't been to your class yet. Because I homeschool and my husband is always working, which makes it hard. I'm so glad you could produce this for people like me who have a hard time getting to your classes. This DVD is my entire first class, with some of the Catalina multistacking/rolling info from the 2nd class in it, as well as some DVD-specific examples too, as this is a little longer than the 1-hour class I teach live.

If this goes well, which I hope that it will, I'd love to do a second DVD :)

After my Wednesday night class, someone came up to me after class and said "My friend told me if I order the DVD, it won't come until October." (??? Where is this stuff coming from?) I'm shipping these every day, and they go Priority, so within 2-3 days, you'll have it -- and yes, if you're in the Midwest, I'm hearing that some people are even getting them the next day.

See, you guys THINK I live at the grocery store... but I'm really frequenting the Post Office.

I do bring some to all of my classes (I'm in Marengo and Algonquin this week, which are both near here) so you can definitely see me after class if you'd like to purchase one. I am not able to sell them directly from home though.

Both those classes were booked by the time I tried to register. I have missed out on the last 5 classes I have tried to register for. I have been on 3 waiting lists and I never seem to make it. Oh well I guess I'll just have to keep dreaming of the day. LOL

No, I would NEVER have guessed I'd be here a year ago. We're almost approaching the one-year anniversary of my first class, August 14th.

As far as paying in Cats, I'd take them... but the state of Illinois may not like me paying sales tax with those! :)

I actually did try to pay my daughter for babysitting the other day in Cats though.

She told me she "did not accept them."

Everyone is asking that! (Hmm, I wonder why :)

No, no coupons... but I am trying to keep the price as affordable as possible. I did learn through this process that video production is very expensive -- this isn't a "home-shot" video, and as much as I try to do everything as inexpensively as possible... when I looked at filming the class, I wanted it done right, of professional quality, so that everything was as clear and understandable as it would be attending class in person.

We had a crew of five cameramen, a director, and technical staff for audio and lighting, plus the editor and post-production team -- a lot went into this, and... that adds up to a fairly sizable sum of money. When it's all said and done, if I ultimately break even, I'll be happy :) But the demand to see/attend the class has been so great lately, especially out of our immediate area here in Chicagoland, that it was something I really believed in pursuing.
