National Coupon Month segments

September is National Coupon Month! To promote coupon use and talk about how much we really can save with coupons, I appeared on the news in over 30 markets nationally in September 2009!

... Not knowing any better, watching this, I would have thought you lived in Atlanta. You looked great, hard to get your point across in such a rushed segment

It's nice! Last night I had dinner downtown and I enjoyed walking around the city a little bit, visiting an art exhibit and shopping -- I had never spent much time in Atlanta before. The weather has been beautiful the past two days too, which always makes sightseeing more enjoyable!
And yes, it's kind of hard to explain -entirely- what we do in a 2 or 3-minute segment, but I certainly try :)

Well, no one is going to mistake the speed of your conversation, or your lack of accent for an Atlanta native.
All I've seen of Atlanta is the airport while changing planes.

It's actually common to do news segments like this via satellite, where many networks/areas may want to participate -- and to do that, the speaker needs to be at a satellite studio that can feed the live segments to all the other networks. This one happened to be in Atlanta.
