Welcome to JillCataldo.com ... like you've never seen it before :) When I launched my blog 18 months ago, I never imagined it would turn into such a vibrant coupon community utilized by so many. The site's old server and blog setup were not capable of handling such a large number number of simultaneous users each week, so while you were sleeping last night, everything got upgraded! All of the content you enjoy is still here, along with some new features that many have asked for.

To name a few... you can now:

generate a printer-friendly version of site posts;
email posts to yourself or a friend
share content via social networking

Just look for the little icons at the bottom of each post.

You may experience a few broken links here and there as I get everything updated and moved to the new server over the next couple of days. Thanks for your patience :)

And, if you signed up for a new account with the blog within the past 24 hours and are unable to log in, you may need to re-register your screen name.

(Also, hang in there, fans of the Search function -- it's reindexing and will be back in working order soon too.)

I just love how the new site looks. I really appreciate all the time and effort you put into it, and hope that you can catch up on your sleep soon. Too bad there aren't any "sleep coupons" there that we could stockpile!

Quick Question on Catalina Alerts

I forgot to ask you earlier, but is there a way to automatically move the posts from "Current" over to "Expireds" once the dates pass? It's no big deal, since most of us just ignore the old ones, but I was wondering if there's an easy way to clear out the Alerts section that won't entail someone manually doing it. That, and I'm looking for an excuse to not read 2 chapters for my classes. It's been MANY MOONS since I've taken any courses, and my brain just doesn't work the same way now. Sigh!

I'd like to give a special thanks for this new site, because it is much more mobile-friendly! I often find myself sitting on the couch watching tv while I check the forum. The old site often gave me heck! Whenever I used the 'back' button on my BlackBerry all the links on the page would send me to the home page. I had to read 1 topic, click 'recent posts', read another topic, click 'recent posts', etc. I wouldn't have complained because quite frankly I could have just gotten off my butt and walked to the computer, but you know! It was a pain - so I just tested out the new site and it works much better! Yay!

Also, I like that the "recent posts" is on the top! This will save me some scrolling-time!

It looks awesome, Jill. There's a little typo though, and being the "Queen" that you are, I wanted to tell you so you could fix it...you are always so professional and I wouldn't want your site to look anything less than that :) Please don't be offended, I'm just very happy for you and know you can't possibly catch every little thing. Thank you! No offense taken at all -- in fact, I'm glad I only made ONE typo that late at night :)

I appreciate ALL of the wonderful comments from everyone. The entire time I was designing and building the new site, I braced for the inevitable few complaints (let's face it, most people don't really LIKE changes..!) but the feedback's been so great today.

Thanks to all of YOU, for reading, for posting, and being a part of this community. Now with the login and server issues out of the way, we can become an even more active one :)

Wow - I love the new look...it's very modern and the beige color is really good and easy on the eyes.. Thank you for not posting Pink or Purple...not that I have anything against those colors..I actually love but not on Blogs... another great step for you...I'm sure I'll have fun searchign thru the new site.

Looks great and organized and makes nice use of the screen too. We just got a nice big wide screen monitor and now everything fits with less scrolling. Did I mention it looks great?

I hope those few people who complain and get demanding take a minute to think about the time and late hours you put into what you do. This must be such an exciting time for you Jill. It is a genuine labor of love. Congrats and what everyone else has said.

The updated version of the site looks great. I just started using your site in December after the class I attended. This is the first time I have seen the search function or been able to post to the forum, even though I had registered. Thanks for all of your hard work.
