Swap Info

I'm considering Elgin since it's next week. Which coupons do you typically bring to a swap? How does the swap work? What were the best coupons you found at a swap?

Round Lake Area coupon swap

I'm very interested in attending the Round Lake swap. Do I need to register to attend on April 3rd? Is it open to anyone?

Really interested

I am really interested in going to the one in Wheeling...What do I need to know going in? How should I separate my coupons? Can I bring expireds? Can I bring Cats I won't use?

If you have gone before, let me know what the expectations are...I would appreciate it!

This made me realize I forgot

This made me realize I forgot about tonight's swap! OOPS! hehe life got in the way, as usual... But the folks at the Wheeling swap are wonderful!

My biggest suggestion, to make things go faster while you're there is to bring a pair of scissors with you and try to clip the Qs you won't be using and separate them into envelopes or baggies or something (even paperclips could do the trick) - anyway, separate them by categories similar to Jill's suggestions for folder categories (pet, baby, grocery, paper goods, etc). Then you can just drop them in the right box, very quickly.

Also, try to have a list handy of what Qs you really want and which inserts to look in. Some of the folks bring folders filled with full inserts, so that's nice. IF you wanted to, you could take your inserts and let the other leaf through them (could get hairy if a lot of inserts end up spread out on the table, but that's your call. I sometimes bring my inserts and tell folks I will clip whatever they want out of them FOR them, to keep things in order...)

HTH and hope to see you at the next swap :o)
