New memo at Dominicks about Wag's RR...
I was at Dom's yesterday, and tried to use a Walgreens RR at check-out. The cashier showed me a hand-written note with a copy of a Wag's RR and the instructions NOT to accept these anylonger.
I asked why not, since it is a manuf. coupon. The reason they gave me: it shows "compliments of .... (pharmaceutical company name)" and therefore can not be accepted.
A new day, a new rule. I wonder how many other Dom's will follow.
Just shopped at my other Dominicks store a hour ago ,Used all 3 of my $6 Wags. cats . No problem .I Was really glad ,Cause haven't been shopping that much at Jewel . Seems I have been only going to Dom. lately . Between Pills. cats . Mission tortillas and oranges and garlic bread .
Schmale & Geneva - said he had some memo that they could not take anything over $2 Cats, so I gave him 3 $2 cats then he hemmed and hawed about I better go check on this, I said forget it, planned on paying with cash anyway...
Funny thing is, he started out by saying "we'll take it if it scans", then back tracked, I told him to try and scan it just to see, then we had the above conversation.
If you had that cashier, I know who you mean. He is very scared of coupons, if I can put it that way.
Sounds weird if he first wants to scan but then chickens out. I guess there must be someone on the top who really intimidates these cashiers over there!

I wasn't able to use some Wags RRs at the Westchester Dom's on Sunday. They said they don't take them...
Last week I was told the same thing at Western Springs Dom. Also called corp. never heard back . If Jewel gets wind of this (: Not so good for us .
The reason I asked is that corp told me last week that with the new policy, they were going to accept ANYBODY's Catalinas as long as they were manufacturer. I wanted to find out if this was a store notice vs. corporate.
I am writing before looking but is that New Policy available yet?
Please let me know the location of the store with this memo.

This Dom's is on Schmale/Geneva Rd. in Carol Stream.
The note was handwritten, so perhaps this particular store made it up themselves.
They seem to have problems with coupons and Cats almost every time I visit. This has discouraged me lately to go there, they seem to freak out any time they see a coupon in my hands...
Also, many cashiers have told me "I will lose my job if I accept these coupons"... I don't know how strong they have been threatened to lose their jobs, but many of them have used it when we talked coupons.
Finding a Dominicks that will take catalinas or RR from another store. For awhile the one in evanston did but now they stopped.
The Fox Lake Dom's was taking Wags RR's and Jewel cats. However, last week I was told they had "a meeting" and can no longer take coupons from other stores that are for a dollar amount "off your next purchase" because they do not get reimbursed for them. ????? If it's a manufacturer coupon for a specific item/product with another stores logo they will accept them.
I went to Dominicks today, and they took my Wags RRs! I was so happy because I too have problems in the past. I thought that maybe corporate had sent to memo to their stores, and their policies were changing because of Jill's blog. After reading your post, however, I don't know what to think.
