Quad City Times feature

There's a story in today's Quad City Times about the past weekend's Super-Couponing classes...

They came. They listened. They learned. Now, many Quad-Citians hope they can begin to really save money at the grocery stores thanks to Jill Cataldo, the nationally syndicated “Coupon Queen” columnist who spoke Saturday at the Moline Public Library about becoming better at using the coupon system when shopping.

Couponing feature on Slate.com

Slate.com has a great story on coupon use today profiling not only Super-Couponing but one of our forum regulars shopping habits... take a look!

I began hearing about a strategic sort of couponing that enables tightwads-who-blog to get cartfuls of groceries for tiny prices and even take home many items for free. I was intrigued: Could there be such a thing as free groceries? I started at Super-Couponing.com, a site run by Jill Cataldo, a self-described coupon queen who writes a syndicated newspaper column. Here, I picked up the basic premise of scoring free stuff: combining store sales and coupons.

Super-Couponing Picnic!

The first-ever Super-Couponing-Picnic took place today in Castaldo Park in Woodridge! Close to 100 blog readers, coupon spouses, and coupon kids attended this great picnic, which certainly had to be one of the most unique gatherings of people ever!

Shop like a Star

I've been posting about the great clothing bargains that can be found post-Labor Day, and I had to share this story with you all. Many of you know that I'm a devoted KISS fan, and while I don't have too many crossovers between my coupon life and my KISS life, occasionally the two do mix.

End-of-summer clothes clearances...

In my Super-Couponing 2 classes, I talk about the clothing cycles and best times to buy clothing at low prices. One of those cycles is taking place right now! The weeks prior to Labor Day, and post Labor-Day, are fantastic times to buy clothes. Let me show you some of the deals I've gotten this week...

Hello Quad City readers!

I'm in the Quad City Times today, in a story about my Super-Couponing class scheduled there this fall. This will be my first class in this area, and I know many people are excited, as I've got a good base of readers for my newspaper column, "The Coupon Queen" in the paper here too! Check it out:

Prepare for an "awakening," people. That's what Cataldo told me I could expect from her workshop, as we chatted on the phone the other day.

Deals of the week on Johnny B!

"Deals of the Week" returned to the airwaves this morning on 97.9 FM the Loop in Chicago! We discussed this week's grocery deals and had another Super-Couponing DVD giveaway. Here's the clip!

I'm in the Sun-Times today!

The Chicago Sun-Times has a story on saving for back-to-school supplies. Take a look!

Discount-blogging mom Jill Cataldo of Huntley cherry-picks drugstore and grocery-store deals -- 9-cent notebooks, 5-cent rulers and a pack of 20 pencils for 19 cents -- as she aims to keep her back-to-school shopping budget to no more than $10.
