Over the past week, I have seen some great deals on outdoor gear and summertime supplies at multiple stores. This is such a great time to pick up seasonal bargains on things as many warm-weather items are deeply discounted. Here are some of the things I’ve spotted lately…
At CVS (Lake in the Hills, IL), I found a large display of summer tumblers, patio lights, tiki torches, sand toys and more.
I picked up these large playground balls for $1 each at this CVS. Originally, I was going to buy the Disney Princess and My Little Pony balls for my nieces, but how could I pass up those Avengers and Star Wars balls too? Is anyone “too old” to throw a ball around?
My boys were delighted when they saw the back of my truck was filled with playground balls. I told them they could take their pick and give the other two to their cousins, and I’ll let you guess which designs they chose.
Over at Jewel-Osco (Huntley, IL) I saw all kinds of deals on outdoor furniture and accessories earlier this week:
There were several patio bistro sets on clearance.
These wooden-arm reclining beach chairs were originally marked $79.99..!
These Margaritaville beach chairs were marked down from $30.99 to $7.74 each.
Basic beach chairs were even cheaper – $4.49-$4.99 depending on style.
These light-up Banana Boat LED pool noodles were marked down to $2.74 each.
I picked up one of these watering wands for $1.74.
Jewel had great prices on kids’ inflatable swim gear too.
This 4 piece patio set was marked down to $124.99 from its original price of $499.99.
These 9′ crank-and-tilt patio umbrellas were marked down to $19.99 from $60-something.
(The Cubs “W” flags were not marked down, because winning is always in season.)
These beach umbrellas were just $2.99!
Rubbermaid drink coolers were marked down to $5.49 too.
I also saw a large 12′ Intex pool marked down to $49.99 at the Algonquin, IL Jewel-Osco (my photo didn’t turn out though — it was perched on top of one of the aisle shelves.)
Have you seen any good summer clearance prices in the area too? Feel free to share them below!

I wish the Crystal Lake store marked down clearance like Huntley does. As far as food clearance, Crystal Lake has items on their shelf that are marked higher than what is on the original shelf on sale! Non food items may be marked off 25% at the most. The other two Jewels I go to are smaller so they do not have the extra seasonal items as the larger ones.
