Ibotta has a $1.50 Walmart-exclusive rebate on Yoplait Oui French Style Yogurt, 5oz single serve pot. these sell for $1.34.
another Walmart-only rebate is for a second new Yoplait item: Mix-Ins. it’s $1 off a $1 selling price. for that cost, i can pretend it doesn’t highly resemble another brand’s offering. ;)
based on these debuts and what’s no longer carried at local stores (or festers on the shelf), seems the Yoplait Dippers (and maybe the Custards) have tanked. can’t understand why, as i liked them both. any ideas? my guess on Dippers is the high calories: five in the 230 to 250 range (and one that i never see, at 190). lots of yogurt eaters are health- or weight- conscious, and might be turned off by that. (yet that fatty, high-calorie Noosa thrives…)
one Yoplait demise that didn’t surprise me was at least one of their two Plenti lines — even though i liked those as well. the one with the oats and seeds were a little clumpy, but more striking was the goopiness of the one that combined yogurt and oatmeal. while the texture unfazed me as an adult (and the taste was pleasing), i remember thinking that this would’ve grossed me out as a kid.
