It’s a good week to buy Febreze products at Jewel-Osco. Through 3/13/18, Febreze Air sprays, car clips, and Small Spaces air fresheners are all on sale for $2.50. MyMixx has a $3-off-2 ecoupon that should drop these to $1 each.
3/8 3:30 PM: UPDATE: This $3-off-2 Febreze ecoupon is now working in MyMixx! More details at the end of the article.
However, since the sale began yesterday, I’ve been getting email from readers saying the deal doesn’t work as advertised. This is due to the ongoing MyMixx glitch that has been present since 2015.
MyMixx has always had issues when the total dollar value of a multiple-item offer (in this case, $3.00 off two Febreze) exceeds the cost of ONE single item. With the Febreze items on sale for $2.50 this week, MyMixx will not take the $3.00 off two. It is taking $2.50 off and “losing” the remaining 50 cents.
I headed over to my local Jewel this morning to try it out with two cans of Febreze Air, and again, I had the same issue that everyone else is having:
Because this offer is featured in the currently weekly Jewel ad, if you’re doing this deal, I would make sure to point the MyMixx error out to your cashier and ask them to correct the discount to the $3.00 offer shown both on MyMixx and in the ad itself.
3/8 3:30 PM: I have received information that this particular $3-off-2 MyMixx Febreze ecoupon offer is now working at Jewel. This ecoupon has been manually set to ensure that the entire $3 value comes off when two Febreze items are purchased.
However, from the new information I have, it does not seem that this is a global change within the system for all MyMixx offers. It remains to be seen whether other MyMixx offers with a total that exceeds the price of one item will automatically work in the future.
As regular Jewel-Osco shoppers know, this issue affects any brand and any product where MyMixx has an ecoupon whose total value exceeds the price of one item. I’ve been reaching out to Jewel on this since I first discovered it (February 18, 2015 when I was on a beta-testing campaign for MyMixx.) In fact, here’s the first email I sent them about the issue.
Hi Elizabeth, Just wanted to give you a heads-up on a little MyMixx issue. MyMixx has a digital offer for $1 off 4 Super Chill beverages. I loaded it and bought these today as part of my Week 3 blog post. They are on sale for .79 each.
When my cashier scanned the first bottle, the register showed MyMixx taking off $1.00 off -one- bottle, then reducing that to “Limit of .79 reached.” It appears to be coded as a $1.00-off-one instead of $1.00-off-four. So, MyMixx ended up taking .79 off one instead of $1.00 off four.
I’m attaching a photo of my receipts – thought you might want to know so Jewel can fix it on their end :)
As I am aware that some of the people capable of fixing this issue are reading this post today, please understand that this glitch is not an isolated issue for Febreze or P&G offers — it affects all manufacturer offers where the total dollar value of the reward exceeds one single item’s value.
I, and many other shoppers, would love to see MyMixx working correctly on these multi-item offers.
