the local jewel has shelf sticky coupons to buy any Core Power or Core Power Elite, and get 1 Core Power Elite free. the latter have 14 fl oz compared to 11.5 for the former, and the protein is enough to shut down a lion’s kidneys for a week (42g) instead of a mere day (26g, or 20g for the Light type).
no sale advertised at jewel, but the local store has non-elite Core Powers currently discounted to $2.50. Meijer has them advertised at $2.49 thru 9/17 (usually $2.99). Elites go for $3.79 normal at Meijer, and 3-something at Jewel.
getting over $5 of merchandise for $2.50 is nice, but better prices are possible. jewel will likely have a B1G1F at $3 sale on normal CPs by the coupon expiration date of 12/31/17.
there may well be something sooner: Tony’s has the plain Core Powers on sale for $1.48 this week! (i think their Elites are at normal price of $3+.) so by bringing your shelf coupon from one store to another (bees do it all the time with cross pollination; it’s vital for the ecosystem), you can get a ridiculous deal.
the hitch is the lack of a printed maximum value on the coupon, which appears to clash with Tony’s coupon policy. wonder how much leeway their cashiers will give. or can the fancy barcode actually contain a maximum despite it not being obvious to humans?
