Note: I refer to coupon inserts found in the Chicago Tribune, as it is the newspaper with the largest quantity of high-value coupons for Chicagoland. Need a deal on the Tribune? Get Sunday delivery for .75/week!
My Meijer deals matchups are based on the Illinois Meijer ads. Some Meijer locations in other states run sales one week ahead of Chicagoland’s ads.

Why do you not do match ups for Schunks or Butera? Can you advise which site I can use when I need help with match ups for these two stores?
Coupon Maven says
Hi Suzann,
I write matchups based on demand. It can take 4-6 hours to research and write matchups each week per store, and when I am covering seven stores a week, there just isn’t time in a week to do every single store and have time to do the non-grocery blogging I need to write each week too. I used to blog Schnucks years ago, but there simply aren’t enough people reading it to justify the time spent on writing matchups. (As a blogger, I get paid by ad revenue and clicks from readers — if not enough people are reading a particular store, it doesn’t make financial sense to spend time each week working on something in an uncompensated capacity. It got to the point where very few people were even looking the Schnucks pages, so I could not feasibly continue to cover them.)
There used to be a Rockford-area blog (Northern IL Coupon Moms) who covered Schnucks deals weekly. However, that blog stopped writing matchups about a year ago. I did a quick Google search and found this Missouri blog covering Schnucks: (Edit – removed link)
I hope this helps.

The blog you gave has not been updated in two years. The information on 6 of the stores you do can be found at couponmom.com.. You didn’t answer why you do not do Butera since you live less than 10 miles away
Coupon Maven says
Suzann, there’s no need for hostility. A lot of coupon bloggers have stopped doing matchups due to how labor-intensive they are — I was only trying to help.
I seriously doubt there is any revenue-generating demand for Butera. It’s too small a chain. It has nothing to do with my geographic distance to a store. I dropped Target deals again earlier this year because it was my least-read store, statistically — and there are far more Target stores nationally than Butera. I also dropped Mariano’s over a year ago — very few people were reading those matchups.
Again, it requires the better part of a day to write a matchup list, especially if I have to visit the store to collect prices. I cannot afford to write about a store that gets no significant pageviews — it equates having a fully-unpaid day in my week. I’m sure most people working for a living do not want to work for free one day a week.

Hi Jill! Do you know off hand if Meijer accepts coupons for the free item in a buy 1 get 1 free sale? Thanks in advance 😊
Coupon Maven says
They typically do not, no. You need to use a B1G1F by buying two items without any additional coupons.
Fran says
Ok, thank you 😊
