At tonight’s Super-Couponing 2 workshop in Fox Lake, I’ll discuss Ebates as a way to get cash back while shopping online. If you’ve never used Ebates, it’s easy – and indeed, it does pay you back for shopping! If you’re not familiar with how to use Ebates, here’s a quick overview.
First, if you don’t have an Ebates account, create one online. It’s free! This is a great time to sign up too, because you’ll also get a FREE $10 gift card to the store of your choice once you make your first purchase of $25 or more online through Ebates.
Pretty much every major department store online participates in Ebates – Kohls, JC Penney, Macy’s, Target and more. I’ve gotten into the habit of logging into Ebates before I look to buy anything online, because so many stores participate in Ebates.
So, come along with me and I’ll show you how it works!
Recently I wanted to buy something from Radio Shack. First, I logged in to Ebates:
That’s it! Ebates cash-back bonuses are issued quarterly via a check mailed to your home, or you can choose to receive the cash via Paypal. With all of the online shopping we’re likely to do this season, this is a great way to save yourself even more money. It’s fun when those bonus Ebates checks show up in the mail too! Happy Shopping!

Hi- I noticed that amazon is included in ebates, but I can’t tell how much you get back without signing up for ebates. Amazon is the only online retailer that I frequent very much other than Johnny’s seed company, which I am sure is not listed. I am also signed up with igive, and Amazon only gives .4% of my purchase to the nonprofit that I picked. I noticed that walmart is listed on ebates, and they are not listed on igive.
When you sign up for igive.com, you designate what nonprofit you want to receive the donation. There are a ton of nonprofits that participate in igive, including a lot of churches and schools, and some of the donations are small such as Amazon and Dell, but some are 10% or more. Thanks, Nancy

I signed up for ebates along time ago, I never made a purchase through them though and never got my gift card that I chose at the time. Not sure if I have to make a purchase or there is specific requirement to earn it.
I have been using pandacashback.com since because they offer high rebate rates for most of the store I usually shop at.
I didn’t know since when ebates start offering cash back on Amazon, I don’t recall they used to offer cash back in Amazon at the time but I definitely will start using ebates for my Amazon purchase since it is one of the stores that I shop at on regular basis and pandacashback don’t offer rebate at it yet.
