Grandparents Day is September 7th, and Kalahari Resorts is celebrating with a reminder to consider taking a multigenerational vacation: Grandparents, parents, and children/grandchildren.
Speaking from personal experience, I can tell you that my kids look forward to our family multigenerational trip each year. Most years, my parents, my husband and I and our children will all go camping together for a long weekend. The destination is always fun, but the memories we make together are the best kinds of souvenirs.
If you’re looking for a fun place for a multigenerational vacation, the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells is a great place to take the whole family, as it has many all-under-one-roof offerings for guests of all ages.
Kalahari Resort has put together an exclusive offer for my readers! Use this special link to access this offer, and enter the promo code MOMS for…

We’ve stayed at the Wisconsin Dells Kalahari several times over the past few years. It’s one of our favorite places to go! We love that the water park is located under one roof, so you don’t have to take a long hike between buildings to visit other parts of the park. Kalahari has everything from (terrifying!) speed slides for adults and big kids to kiddie splash areas, indoor surfing, flume slides and a great wave pool and lazy river area. They’ve also got an enormous indoor amusement park with everything from go-carts to bowling, mini-golf and laser tag.
Here are some photos from our past visits to the Kalahari:
Continuing Kalahari Resorts and Conventions’ mission to take “family time” off the endangered list, the company is encouraging families to take a multigenerational staycation this fall. This year, Grandparents Day is September 7, a great reason to have some wet and wild fun while making memories to last a lifetime.
“For many families, Sunday dinner with extended family has become replaced by an annual reunion or holiday celebration,” said Travis Nelson, Kalahari Resorts spokesperson. “At Kalahari, we have something for everyone, ages eight or 88, from candy making to spa services, go karts and waterslides.”
Kalahari Resorts and Conventions is more than just The World’s Coolest Indoor Waterparks (Condé Nast Traveler, 2014). The authentically-African themed resorts’ beyond expectations approach to hospitality and all-under-one-roof amenities is what sets Kalahari apart from the rest.
Kalahari Resorts locations in Sandusky, Ohio, Wisconsin Dells and coming soon to Pocono Mountains, Penn. offer something for everyone – America’s largest indoor waterparks, seasonal outdoor waterparks, Spa Kalahari, award-winning indoor attractions, convention center and on-site dining, just to name a few.
This fall, the whole family can enjoy a fun adventure in true Kalahari-style with the Fantastic Family Getaway package available at both Wisconsin Dells and Sandusky, Ohio locations. Valid every day of the week, rates include admission to both the indoor and outdoor waterparks, two breakfasts and one dinner for a family of four, a $20 credit toward dining at any resort restaurant and a variety of additional discounts to Kalahari’s award winning indoor attractions.
