I was totally denied at 2 different stores. West Aurora and Sugar Grove both said that kind of “stacking ” isnt allowed. One manager even said she is a couponer and she understands the policy. I wish I didn’t feel like I was stealing when I try to do things like this.

Jewel’s coupon policy is very clear in that they allow both a dollars-off and a B1G1F coupon to be paired together: https://www.jewelosco.com/coupon-policy/
“A cents off coupon may be used with a B1G1Free coupon, redeemable on the purchased item.”
It doesn’t get much clearer than that — did you ask to see a copy of the policy? I would love to know how they could possibly re-interpret that simple statement.
Jewel has also re-confirmed this recently (yet again) on their Facebook page after people have complained: https://www.facebook.com/JewelOsco/posts/10154208455474349
It’s so frustrating to hear that a manager isn’t familiar with the store’s written coupon policy. I would share this info on their Facebook page (which stores you’ve shopped) so Jewel can reach out and straighten out your stores on this.

Nope, I didn’t . I was actually doubting myself (and I guess you, sorry). One of the managers told me she’s seen your blog and mashupmom so I was thinking maybe I misunderstood something. I will print it out and take it back with me and did post on facebook.
Thanks!!

SO my adventures continue….. I happened to drive by a different Jewel store today and stopped in to try again and grab 99 cent Goldfish crackers.. I was armed with a copy of the Jewel coupon policy this time. I went right to the service desk and explained to the manager what I wanted to do and my difficulties so far. She started to shake her head and I pointed out the line that says it is the policy of Jewel to accept both coupons. She called a manager at another store and asked their advice and then told me she would do it for me this time ( hate when they say that) but then did say she and the other manager were going to call the corporate office to clarify, Then she rang me up took off my coupons and said ‘oh, maybe you’re right, I didn’t have to override anything”.
