2010 Black Friday / Cyber Monday Media Tour
In November 2010, I appeared on the news live via satellite from Atlanta in over 25 markets nationally as part of a Black Friday / Cyber Monday media tour to talk about sales, deals, and holiday shopping trends. My segments also appeared on Yahoo! Video’s Black Friday channel, The Daily Buzz, and DailyMotion.
If you missed seeing them in your area, I’ve got several clips archived on the blog:
These segments were filmed on November 23, 2010:
Tampa Bay News 9:
Fox News, Indianapolis:
ABC News 6, Philadelphia:
NBC News 4, Reno:

My 2010 Black Friday / Cyber Monday media tour was sponsored by Chase Freedom and Aflac / Beads of Courage.
While some interviews aired live on 10/23/10, other networks opted to record and hold the interviews to air on Black Friday or on Cyber Monday. I’ll share those clips with you as they air.

Every year I wonder how people know about these amazing Black Friday deals. Of course I could look at my newspaper ads that morning, but that is too late!! How did you know about the $3 appliances, $4 DVDs, etc.? One year I tried looking online Thursday night and I couldn’t find anything that clearly stated the awesome deals. Any advice for next year?

Here i am with my 2 yr old at a Mcdonadls for lunch. We of course are sitting in the playland and there is a group of 4 moms with their kids as well– chatting about grocery shopping– where, what they like and dont like about the stores the go to- how expensive this one is or cheap that one is- you get the conversation i am describing and can tell by the conversation that none use coupons or even know what a good price for anything really is– both things we all have learned from Jill….
What do you do if you were in this situation??? do you butt in and give them some tips advise and information- or do you keep your mouth shut and smile at your own wisdom in being “in the know”??
Today i said nothing– santa is watching :) and for me i have found most people are just to lazy to clip coupons, stock pile, and watch sales– while i get alot are very busy with kids and jobs– but the stay at home mom who takes care of 3 kids a house, husband and runs everyone to where they need to be is just as busy– i find its a simple respect of money and keeping as much IN the bank as possible- no to “save” money– but rather WHY spend it if they are giving it away!
curious???
