Frontier Airlines has a crazy-cheap School’s Back, Low Fares sale running right now with $25 one-way flights running all over the country. (Yes, you read that right — guess who’s seriously, all-of-a-sudden considering another Disney trip this year?) A Disney-bound reader sent this to me after booking $50 round-trip fares!
Yes, you read that right: Fares between Chicago’s O’Hare airport and Orlando International are just $25 each way! Some flights are now $29 each way (hey, big spenders!) as the $25 fares have sold out. Heck, you could go to Los Angeles and hit Disneyland for almost the same price..!
Here’s the full list of fares departing from O’Hare:
Chicago – Orlando: $25 each way
Chicago – Washington-Dulles: $25 each way
Chicago – Los Angeles: $29 each way
Chicago – San Francisco: $29 each way
Chicago – Atlanta: $69 each way
Chicago – Raleigh-Durham: $69 each way
Most of these fares are not available on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays — you’ll need to fly mid-week to get these crazy deals. Right now, I have airfares for my family of FIVE round trip, $29 Chicago-Orlando flights for $209… for all FIVE of us!
Keep in mind that Frontier’s fares are bare-bones — you pay to check luggage and what not, but you can travel with a backpack for no charge. (One of my girlfriends has become quite adept at fitting everything in her large backpack when she flies Frontier!)
Another tip: I found it MUCH easier to browse the entire calendar view to see which dates still had the cheap fares versus plugging in random dates.
Happy trip planning! If you are Walt Disney World-bound, the Downtown Disney Hilton is still $79/night through August – a steal for this nice property. (I reviewed it earlier this year!)

Thanks for posting this! AWESONE STUFF!!!
I fly quite often, and have booked several trips on Frontier. Pay for your bags online at least 24 hours ahead of time of departure to save a little more. You get one personal item to keep at your seat, I believe backpacks are treated as a carry on bag, which cost more than bags being stored underneath in the plane. But if you are in one the earlier boarding zones, you should have no issues putting your personal item in an overhead bin vs. under the seat in front of you, where you need the leg room, especially for taller people like myself. I consider Frontier slightly better than Spirit, but below the big airline companies. I hope some of you are able to take advantage of these prices. I’ve never seen some of these flights/routes this cheap ever…
(Part of the reason I’ve been away most of the summer was due to a heavy workload and lots of cheap trips!)
But like frosty the snowman, I’ll be back again someday… and posting more.
