Happy Halloween! There are only EIGHT Fridays left until Christmas. Each Friday, as we get closer to the holiday, I’ll share a fun or interesting gift with you…
Today’s gift idea? The BioLite Wood-Burning USB Campstove!
We in the Cataldo house are avid campers, and we’re usually off-the-grid campers too — camping without electricity or water service at our campsites of choice. Ever since I became aware of this product, I’ve wanted one! The Biolite is a wood-burning camp stove that also uses the heat of the stove as a generator. Fill it with small sticks and light it. Then, you can plug a phone, tablet or other USB device into the stove while you’re cooking with it, and it will charge your devices!
A 20-minute fire in the Biolite generates enough electricity to charge a cellphone for 60 minutes’ worth of talk time. I just love this idea — especially for long campouts with no other power source. The reviews are stellar too!
Get the BioLite Wood-Burning USB Campstove on Amazon!
Have you found a fun or interesting gift item online you’d like to share? Feel free to share it in the comments, and I may feature it as a future Friday gift idea…

Since BioLite is the manufacturer and only seller, it doesn’t look like the price will come down. And if it sells out by mid-December, no way to get another on Amazon. So I might buy this today for my brother! Thanks Jill!!!

If I were interested in something like this, I think I’d get a much less expensive camp stove, and one of the solar panels to charge the USB devices.
