Today’s Wall Street Journal has a story on coupon fraud, particularly with regard to internet coupons, is on the rise:
In January 2008, Nestlé Purina Petcare Co. issued 250 coupons for a free bag of its adult dry dog food. As of May 5, 2,754 coupons for the product have been redeemed, the company said, but declined to comment further on coupon fraud.
Whew! The $20/$10 Catalina deal at Jewel finally ended on Sunday, and I can’t be the only one who is almost sighing with relief that it’s over. :) Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE those deals… but they’re so good they almost make you crazy chasing around and shopping too! :) Hopefully everyone has enough yogurt, cooking oil, ketchup, mustard, and popcorn to last a LONG long time..! WESTVILLE — Jill Cataldo was running low on diapers when she saw they were on sale at a local store. After a quick shopping trip, the 66 full-size packs of diapers she bought cost her only $7.92 — after using coupons.
Plus, the diapers looked impressive stacked up to the ceiling, so she posed her son in front of them and snapped a picture to prove it.

When you’re new to Super-Couponing, many people enjoy keeping track of just how much money they’ve saved with coupons. I did this my first year — and not counting the sales cycles lows (the differences in price between regular and sale) – ONLY counting coupon savings — I saved over $5400 the first year! I’ve since stopped keeping track in such a detailed form, but I’ll never forget how exciting it was to note that kind of savings in a year’s time.
In addition to the wonderful coupons we find in our newspaper inserts and online, many stores are also offering electronic coupons as well! These coupons can be loaded onto your shopper’s card for your store, and you automatically receive the savings at checkout.
