Today’s Super-Couponing class in Sugar Grove was great! With 96 registrants, I’m told this was by far the largest library program that Sugar Grove ever hosted! It was my pleasure to bring Super-Couponing to Sugar Grove today, and if you have any questions that you didn’t get a chance to ask, please feel free to […]
Deals of the Week for October 21, 2008
It’s time for this week’s deals!
Want even more free shampoo at Walgreens this week? Pert Plus is still on sale at Wags for $3.49, and the deal just got better… use the $2.00 coupon from this past Sunday’s paper with the $2.50 off Pert coupon in the EasySaver catalog, and you’ll be saving $4.50 on your $3.49 Pert! That’s right, the store will be paying you $1.01 to take the Pert home!
I’m in the Lake Villa Review today…
The Lake Villa Review gave a glowing review of last week’s Super-Couponing class. 2 newspapers in one day? This coupon stuff’s really catching on..! “You can do this!” cried self-proclaimed “super-couponer” Jill Cataldo, who lead a presentation at the Lake Villa District Library Oct. 9… “Everything about shopping the old way is wrong,” said Cataldo, […]
… and in the Algonquin Countryside too!
The Algonquin Countryside has a follow-up story on one of my coupon classes, and I think it’s good reading for anyone who’s had problems with difficult cashiers: The cashier gave me the evil eye when I handed her a handful of coupons. And I think I am not alone. Back in August I wrote a […]
The world of Walgreens
Oh, the wonderful world of Walgreens!
There are so many interesting ways to stack coupons and combine discounts at Walgreens, and I tend to get a lot of email and blog questions about some of them. So here’s an overview of different ways to save at Walgreens!
Store coupons
Like many stores, Walgreens will stack both a manufacturer’s coupon and a store coupon together. But Walgreens is especially fun to shop at because they will also stack their OWN coupons together.
There are a few places to find Walgreens coupons:

Ready to save some money?
Starting at Jewel (which you all know is my favorite grocery store…) All sales run through this Wednesday unless otherwise noted:
Crest toothpaste is on sale for $1.00, and the 9/28 P&G insert has a $1.00 off Crest coupon. Put them both together… and you’re taking home a free tube of Crest. Dollar coupons paired with dollar sales are one of the easiest ways to get things free!

Another week of super deals!
First, at Jewel… how about the Goldfish cracker deal of the year? If you have kids (or are just a big kid) you know how yummy those little Pepperidge Farm Goldfish crackers are.
Well, Jewel is running two sales simultaneously on Goldfish (the reason I always recommend shopping Jewel Sundays-Wednesdays, so you can take advantage of the sales overlapping!) Goldfish crackers are on sale for $2.19 a bag, buy one, get one free. They are ALSO on sale for buy two, get two free.
I’m in the Midweek
The Midweek has a story on me in the 10/2 issue… read it online! Especially in this economic climate, wouldn’t it be great if we could open up our wallets, clip our money in half, and double it on the spot? Well, Huntley resident Jill Cataldo can’t help you actually “double” your money, but she […]
Target Coupon Policy
Dear Target Guest,
Coupons are a great way to save even more when shopping at Target, and we make it easy to use them at our stores. But because of the variety of coupons available to our guests, we do have some guidelines for how coupons can be redeemed at Target:
— We accept two kinds of coupons: Target-issued coupons and
manufacturer-issued coupons.
— We’ll accept one Target coupon and one manufacturer coupon for the same item, unless either coupon prohibits it.
— We can’t give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater

Ready for another week of BIG savings?
Starting at Walgreens, don’t you need yet another free toothbrush? Of course you do! The Oral B Cross Action toothbrush is on sale for $4.49 with a $4.50 Register Reward. So, the toothbrush is already free… but with the 75 cent off coupon from the 9/28 PG insert, it’s a moneymaker too!
