I have the whole weeks add plus black Friday and i don’t see thermacare priced at 4.49 and i don’t see a register reward either. I do see a 5.99 sale in the flyer but with no register rewards. Am I missing something?
newtoqs says
When doing the Wags register reward deals is it true that you won’t get two RR for products that are in the same family? For instance, in the deals above there is a deal for Colgate toothpaste and another one for Colgate toothbrushes. If we do them both in the same transaction will it only print one reward? I seem to remember that being an issue in the past but I am not sure.

are wonderful but I so wish that there were some of the awesome ones we had last year at Walgreens. I was able to buy my son a year’s worth of deodorant, body wash, body spray, face wash, shaving cream, etc. at some wonderful prices. He’s about out of everything and I was hoping to repeat last year’s success and give him another big box for Christmas filled with the same types of products.
andrea4280 says
To minimize out of pocket $$, do you pay for a couple of items, get the RR/ECBs and roll into next transaction or do you just put all your desired items into one transaction and pocket the RR/ECBs for the future? If multiple transactions, any quick suggestions how to best “work the system”? Thanks and happy Thanksgiving.

I read on another blog (Mashup Mom, maybe?) that the Wet & Wild was VERY regional. I checked 3 RP inserts and I don’t believe the Chicago Tribune was one of the lucky regions.
ktcat777 says
This printable coupon says it is good off of a 2-ct. package or larger, so it won’t work with this deal. Is there another coupon somewhere that is good on the single count Thermacare? Thanks!

I hope that the stores will have enough supply on hand, or the shelf clearers, in the spirit of the holidays, will save enough for everyone..The CVS lipbalm, nailpolish and Starbucks can drink are all good deals..I know you hear over and over again from people who are really having a tough time financially and they love your tips..I can only say that I hope you and your family will be blessed for helping others, and letting people have dignity by being able to buy good quality items at a real low price..:)

I went out at 1am to Walgreens and CVS so I could get a jump on the selfish who clear the shelves. Walgreens also has Red Box coupons for the first 130 customers at each store. I had 3 transactions Spent $9.47 but I have $11.00 in RR to use.
CVS I had 5 transactions. Total out of pocket was $1.16 and I have $3.98 in EBC. The first amount is out of pocket.
1. $.18 Both Thermaflu items -$3.00 coupon. EBC $1.87 and $0.99
2. $.31 Finish Quantu $2.99 -$1.00 coupon -$1.87 EBC from #1.
3. $.23 CVS Batteries $3.99, but rang up at $3.65 – $2.99 EBC from #2 and $0.99 EBC from #1.
4. $.25 Advil PM and Advil – $3.99 EBC from #3
5. $.19 Pepto + Hersey’s $.99 deal.- EBC $.99 and $2.99 from #4. EBC still in hand, $.99 and $2.99.
Thanks for posting these tips. It has really helped a lot this year.

I took my time and went out to CVS and Walgreens today at a leisurely 11am. I was expecting the shelves to be empty and the stores to be crowded but neither was true!
Between a trip to CVS and 2 trips to Walgreens I got almost $200 worth of stuff FREE! CVS had many of their free products stacked on shelves right in front which made it really easy to find. The clerks were friendly and helpful and there were only a few other shoppers in the store – one was another Jill Cataldo fan! I skipped a number of deals involving products I wasn’t going to use (like Theraflu) and bought ones I’ve wanted to try out (like Starbucks Double Shot).
At Walgreens I had to search through the aisles but they had nice, bright yellow tags on their specials deals. Again, friendly clerks and few customers.
I got cereal, heat patches, Revlon(!), razors and even a couple of toothbrushes and toothpastes for charity. There was plenty of stock when I got there (and when I left) and best of all it’s FREE!
Thanks for your easy-to-follow write up!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, I didn’t make it to CVS on T-day, but I did today (Friday). In fact, it was late afternoon. And I was STILL able to score some of the above deals. Thank you, Jill, for making it easier for us to pull this off. And thank you to the others that didn’t empty the store (as I’ve frequently encountered in past trips), allowing me to still find quite a few of the above. By the way, I noticed (across the two trips/stores I hit – Lake in the Hills and Crystal Lake) many of the sales markers weren’t posted. Like the Norelco shaver. Ad states it as a $49.99 value. Shelf had it as $62.99. Rang up as $26.99 and I had my $10 coupon in hand. And for the Sonicare toothbrush – I used the $10 coupon, got the $10 ECB, and am submitting the $10 rebate, making the $82.99 original price drop to a final $14.99!! Santa is helping mommy and daddy get clean this Christmas. Thank you to the elves that had a part in making it possible!! And happy continued shopping…
Resurrection Praiser says
Jill, we went between 11 and 12 yesterday and had a super time in both stores! We got almost everything we wanted and have a lot of “paper” to spend now in the next week or so. Plus, we have a lot of things to put in the Christmas stockings. Thank you so much for the list. Today we just stayed out of the stores!

Thank you so much for posting all of the great Black Friday deals available at CVS and Walgreens!
I didn’t buy as much as some of the other commenters, but I spent $22 at CVS and got $24 back in ECBs! I then went to a second CVS and used my $24 in ECBs to buy more items, including some toys for a few nieces and nephews (including a BOGO deal on some LEGO compatible sets), spent an additional $9 in cash after ECBs and got another $5 back in ECBs there!
At Walgreens, I spent $21 and got $6 back in RRs. Then went to a second Wags store and bought the Arm & Hammer detergent deal (3 bottles for $6.99). Used the RRs from the first store and paid another $1.50.
I never shopped at either CVS or Walgreens until I started reading your column in May of this year. I have also never saved so much money on groceries since May!
Thank you Jill!

Hi. I found a few boxes of the Culturelle Probiotics just as Walgreens was closing on Thanksgiving. Due to a time shortage, the clerk processed as one transaction and I received 1 register reward. Can I return and repurchase individually to receive one per item? Or has the deal expired? Thanks!
Charlie Q says
Thursday I went to CVS and spent $7 and got $10 in ECB and got about $100 in product.
Friday I hit up Walgreens and ended up spending over $100 but have a lot of RR to use @ Jewel.
fabbyk31 says
I noticed that on all the RRs have on the very bottom, “Redeem only at Walgreebs” but by the coupon details (retailer instructions) it states “Redeemable at Walgreens.” Does that mean I can’t use the coupons at Jewel??
This is the first time that I have noticed this on a RR coupon.
Thanks!!
