I’ve blogged about these before, because I just love the idea (and the cookies!) But, today I read an article about the greeting card industry’s concern about losing money. Between high card prices and a proposed postage increase, cards can be expensive.
While the dollar store is one option, many times I find myself standing in the card aisle at the supermarket or drugstore cringing at cards priced at $4.99 and $5.99. For a piece of paper..!
So, sometimes instead of sending a card, I do this. Cheryl’s gourmet cookies offers a $5 Cookie Greeting. If I could justify sending a $5 card, I can really justify sending a $5 card and cookie! Choose your cookie type, enter the card message, and send it to your recipient. You don’t even pay postage — it’s $5, shipped!
I’ve never had anyone complain about receiving a cookie card in the mail. On the contrary, I usually hear back from people as soon as the cookie arrives! I sent a get-well cookie to my aunt recently, who called to say she was delighted. (Maybe she really did get well!)
Anyway, if you like the idea too, I always have a link for these on the left side of the blog too. But today, it gets a bump up for timeliness!
