Clearance hunting at Meijer today

I went to the Algonquin, Illinois Meijer today and found some clearance sales and bargains all over the store. If you’ve got time to browse, definitely scope out the endcaps and sale areas, as I found good deals on everything from clothes to housewares to toys.

In the boys’ department, I found a shelf full of boys’ Falls Creek solid-colored denim jeans (navy and tan) in sizes ranging from 4 up to 12. These were all marked $4, but when I scanned them at the price checker, they scanned at $2 per pair! What a steal.

There are many bargains in the bedding and bath areas. Lots of sheets and blankets are on sale:

I saw full sheet sets for $6.25 and king sheet sets for $14.

I picked up this twin set of 100% cotton flannel sheets for $6.25.

I saw these down-alternative Simple Luxury twin comforters for $10, down from $39.99.

These Invista 17″ x 24″ bathroom rugs were just $2.50, down from $9.99. I saw navy, brown and grey (and bought a grey!)

And, if your kids didn’t get a Dream Lite over the holidays, they’re cheap now just in time for Valentine’s Day. On an endcap near the boys’ clothes, I saw unicorn, dog and dinosaur Dream Lites marked down to $13.50 each. But the real Dream Lites bargains are in the mens’ department near the sports jerseys. I spotted a large shelf filled with Chicago Bears Dream Lites bears for $10 each — and it shines the Bears logo on the ceiling. How cool is that? One of my sons is getting this for Valentine’s Day!
