SavvyShopperSite.com and a spinoff, AmEnglishMastiffs.com, were both busted on Tuesday for selling counterfeit coupons. In one of the press photos taken by the media, many readers and I noticed a sheet of holographic stickers:
Eukanuba with HOLOGRAPHIC STICKER, Free, any 40 lb. bag of dog food, up to $54.99. This is the same coupon as the regular edition Eukanuba, but for those people whose stores will only accept it with the holographic sticker, this is it!
How could any shoppers have thought that these were legitimate operations?
And yet, enough people bought from these counterfeiters to turn them into millionaires.

would be to FEED them the dogfood, FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES, in jail, of course. It CERTAINLY would get the point across!

I just got from Procter and Gamble a coupon booklet and some of there coupons have a hologram sticker on them. I think they are OK but I still might give them a call just to cover myself.

How could someone not know they were fake when they have to pay extra to make them look more legitimate? I really can’t believe people fell for this stuff…greed and dishonesty not to mention stupidity does seem to be in abundance sometimes.
Many people didn’t care about making these people rich because at least they were getting their share by stealing all the items with the coupons.

how the extreme couponers got free 2L of pop . I try my best and .50 is a great deal to me. After snoopin’ around on the site I know how they have FREE Pepsi products. Silly me they were paying for the coupons to get them free. Now I’m no member of MENSA, but pretty quick on the draw. DUH! it’s not free if you pay for a coupon real or fake.

Those counterfeit coupons look real and I bet they are even printed on nice cardstock so they even feel real.
