$1.24 M&Ms
dunno how much of this is store-specific.. as of November 1, pretty much all Halloween-themed candy (whether that be flavor, or merely packaging) is on half price seasonal clearance in the Osco section. that includes 9.9oz Crispy M&Ms (fall harvest bag) and 8.0oz Crispy Smores M&Ms at $1.99. there were recently 2 printables on coupons.com for 9.4+ oz. bags, good for $1.50 off 2. and unlike the general Mars candy coupons with a hard 10/31 expiration date, these were actually good for 1 month after printing. that’d net you 8 bags of the normal Crispy at $1.24 each! sadly, the Smores bag is too small, but the clearance price still isn’t bad.
another candidate for the coupon is in the normal candy aisle. 1 or 2 varieties of ~19oz M&Ms bags are on clearance for $3.98.
so final cents per ounce: 12.5, 24.9, 17

whoa, two surprises on November 6th:
– i thought the Halloween clearance candy had been mostly raided by November 2nd, but there’s a ton more out today.
– the earlier half prices have been knocked down to quarter prices! that means those M&Ms are $0.99, or $0.24 with coupon for Crispy. and there are multi-pound candy variety packs in the $3 to $4 area. very nice..
but i regret buying stuff on weaker sales at Walmart and Target earlier in the day, figuring Jewel was as pillaged as them. now i have a backlog that’ll last me through next summer.

Today I purchased two dozen Lucerne eggs and six lbs of Livened butter. I received a Catalina for $2 off my next Lucerne purchase. Q good till Nov. 30.

Should say Lucerne butter…

For those of you interested in the eggs, they are MUCH cheaper at ALDI. Till Wednesday of this week. I just purchased six dozen (limit of 6) at either $.56 or $.59 a dozen.
