Just wondering if anyone has been able to find the nail clippers prize from the monopoly game. I have been to several Jewels, and they are always out,
Kevin says
Not in my Indiana store either. I have 4 nail clipper prizes and a 16oz Vinegar that my store doesn’t seem to carry either. The night grocery manager was good about substituting prizes last year. I’m gonna have to see what he says about the clippers this year.

My store suddenly got the clippers. Redeemed all 4 at once.

Grab the 32 oz. vinegar, as I asked if they were subbing that size for the 16 oz. and went to self check (cashier said she’d take it off) and it actually DID scan for the FREE one! She also had it on hers so decided it must be a typo? Glad you found the clippers too!

My husband got the free clippers right at the beginning of the game and they were out of stock for a couple of weeks until one day they were there on shelf. Keep checking or see if they may sub out a similar one for you. Same for me on the vinegar, no 16 oz. bottle in our store too. I even checked the apple cider vinegar but those also only have the 32 oz. size as smallest. I’m guessing they will sub out the white vinegar in the larger bottle. I’d bet we aren’t the only ones asking?

Given we only have 10 more days to redeem our Monopoly free items coupons attached to our Just 4 U accounts, is anybody else having issues where none of the free items are coming off of your receipt, but rather being charged for everything? I’ve made two trips in the past two weeks, with the second trip being an hour or so ago. I purposely just filled my cart with all the free items I had won, (of course some items weren’t in stock so I’ll have to make a 3rd trip to shore up my free items.) This is so frustrating as the cashier has to call some over from the service desk they, and they have to go item by item to adjust the price. Thankfully I have my printed list with me so that I can make sure I get the exact item and exact quantity. I was the one that was apologizing to the employees helping with this issue and honestly they were unfazed and didn’t even acknowledge the ongoing issue. How many people I wonder are being ripped off and not diligent coupon shoppers assuming they are getting what’s owned them. Interested in perspectives and situations you all have had with this year’s monopoly game.

I have a theory on why this happens at times to me. I enter in my phone number at self check and start scanning in items and since most of the things I am buying are clipped to my J4U acct, when it shows up full price on screen….I call over the cashier. She then says “you have to enter in your number”! I already did but it didn’t register somehow? I enter it back in and poof off comes the free or coupon items correctly! Are you going to a regular lane or self check? They always ask me if I have them “clipped” to my list, which drives me insane because that has never fixed the issue!
The only time lately they did not work right is when I bought the wrong item. I have at least half of my free Monopoly wins where it is very precise with the item and it does not work. (like Signature Select canned fruit, would not allow pineapple or oranges, only fruit cocktail or peaches?) I bought the correct size too so it can be very hard to find the right free stuff! Hope this helps. I agree, how many others are not even noticing if they buy a whole cart full of groceries!?
