I saw the Gold Medal flour 5 lb. bags priced at $2.49 in store marked with the same sale tag as on the GM cereal/granola bar deal for MyMixx. It said “$1.25 each, when you buy 4 with MyMixx.” It isn’t in the ad that way, and especially since it is $2.49 and NOT $2.50. I may try it but after hearing the Cat is working on the granola bars….possibly in a separate transaction!
On a different note, check your Big Book for Diamond walnuts 32 oz priced $6.99. My store has not had them nor even a place on shelf for them. I have been checking since the book came out last week. It may just not be in MY store or it’s a typo BUT if you check your Jewel app, it shows the exact same price and size listed as the sale. I am curious if anyone else is hunting for them too. Nuts have went up this year in price as Farm and Fleet has regular price on their POUND size bags $6.49. I looked last week, they are not on sale there though.
Final note: another Facebook word of day FRIDAY is free McCain frozen potatoes! Say SMILE! :>)

can anyone speak to exactly which Nature Valley products are in the 4/$10 sale? it gives a 7.4 – 8.94oz size range, but doesn’t specify types beyond “bars”. is that a shorthand, or is it truly only bars? (protein bars seem to be excluded, as they’re 2/$6.)
i ask because many of the $0.50-off-1 mymixxes (or coupons.com or savingstars) are for non-bars, or the layered bars. for standard bars, you’d have to do $1-off-2 — unless you clipped the $1-off-1 crunchy bars ecoupon a couple months back as i did. >:)
i wish the sale fine print was as good as the coupon and Catalina fine print.

okay, besides bars (crunchy, sweet & salty nut, fruit & nut; i failed to check the nut crunch, if they even carry), the other items in the sale are: biscuits, biscuit sandwiches, soft-baked filled squares, and soft-baked oatmeal squares. those are also in the $5-off-4 coupon. however, biscuit(s) (sandwiches) are absent from the Catalina alert, even though they were in the one just back in June – July. odd that the manufacturer would drop only one category.
assassin says
btw, see their bar selection here:
https://www.naturevalley.com/products/?category=bars-all
under the Crunchy category, there’s both a “Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter” and a “Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate”. (they are visually distinct products.) what sort of sick freak names these things?!

OK, back from Jewel. The MyMixx $5/4 coupon did not work for me. I just realized when I got home too. The odd thing is, I got 2- 7.4 oz. bars (sweet & salty)and 2- 8.94 oz. bars (crunchy) but it only took off $1.25 for 1 of each kind! I am guessing there were too many cpns. clipped to my acct, and it just screwed up. I had the $1/1 crunchy clipped weeks ago along with several others. And now when I clipped the new $5/4 cpn, there actually shows TWO of those in my MyMixx!? I will go back tomorrow and get my $2.50 back.
All of the boxes of 6 count bars I got were clearly marked with sale tags too. My McCain potatoes $3 came off correctly….and they do look good. I got the beer battered ones!
*the $2 Catalina did print, very faint ink, but it printed!
ms40s says
Haven’t gone to store yet but the ad says the $5 MyMixx coupon for the Nature Valley/GM Cereals/Pillsbury/Gogurt products is Limit 2 offers per account. That’s why there are 2 separate $5 coupons to clip.
assassin says
haha; you broke the register. :P i would too, but not in the advantageous way i thought.
to not bury the lede: if you’re going to use other Nature Valley MyMixxes alongside the $5-off-4 General Mills mega-coupons, i tentatively recommend NOT clipping the second mega-coupon until AFTER the first transaction is done.
i had a transaction with 9 items (MM = MyMixx), scanned in order:
– clearance hungry jack pancake mix
– yoplait mix-in (MM)
– mccain emoticons mashed potatoes
– 4 nature valley products (no crunchy bars) (MM)
– 1 nature valley crunchy bar (MM)
– snapple 6-pack straight-up tea (MM)
the 1st time through, everything worked fine until the Snapple. (i was waiting to say Word of the Day for McCain.) the General Mills MyMixx had itemized as four $1.25s as opposed to one $5, which seemed inconsequential. for the Snapple, it took off the $3 sale discount, then my $1 MyMixx, and then two more $1.25s for two already-discounted Nature Valleys!
i did some scrolling around through the transaction list and some looking at the screen, as this was weird. the MyMixx coupons started gradually disappearing by themselves! i think it was the NV ones first, but then they were soon ALL gone, nearly doubling my transaction price. so the cashier voided the transaction.
we tried again, and got a little further, but i was being credited with the same extra $2.50, which neither of us commented on. she did WoD for me, but then there were issues with the register temporarily freezing when pressing the “Finish and Pay” button, and all the MyMixxes again disappearing at some point.
also through all of this, the register moved slooowly after Nature Valley items were scanned — like it couldn’t handle all the coupons, as you said.
the next time around, i broke up my transactions into 3, putting the 5 Nature Valleys by themselves. everything SEEMED to work, knocking $5 off the first 4 items (i.e. $1.25 each), then $1 for the Crunchy Bar. but then i look at my receipt, and the $1-off-1 Crunchy Bar MyMixx is nowhere to be seen: there’s another $1.25 in its place. i accepted the token $0.25 gift for my 20+ minutes’ time, and didn’t think much more of it.
but when checking my MyMixx and Coupons.com accounts in early morning 10/6, i see BOTH $5-off-4 General Mills coupons are gone, yet the $1-off-1 Nature Valley Crunchy Bars is still there! so all the time i thought the register was GIFTING me those extra $1.25s, it was actually prematurely TAKING them from the SECOND e-coupon!! that’s bonkers; if you have two N-off-4 coupons, they shouldn’t trigger until you’ve scanned a minimum of EIGHT relevant items.
now, i likely would not be buying another 4 Nature Valleys anyway, but it would be nice to have the option. sadly, stealing 3/4 of my coupon prevents that. :| it switched the dang MyMixxes somewhere in the process of me paying, so i couldn’t prevent this even while carefully staring right at the self-checkout screen.
so my tentative conclusion from this (aside from their new registers being inferior junk) is: if you’re going to use other Nature Valley MyMixxes alongside the $5-off-4 General Mills mega-coupons, DON’T clip the second mega-coupon until AFTER the first transaction is done. (that’s admittedly tricky for us luddites who don’t have a mobile device with them in-store, requiring a second trip. but worth it if you want that second $5.)
Calibabydolly says
Yup, it took off BOTH my $5 GM MyMixxes as soon as I checked out. I also see my high value $1/1 crunchy is gone today too. I am glad you said your register went bonkers at the end and took back coupons as well because I clearly know now I saw mine go UP by $2.XX at end! And it stalled a long time too. I did not get a chance to swing by there today but plan on it tomorrow. I am sure others are having issues with the MyMixx also…..I am afraid to get more Nature Valley (using my husbands clipped MyMixx) just to roll the Catalina and try for another…..because he HATES when we stand there and argue and customers line up. It’s not worth it! Oh….did it print your $3 Cat or did you get $2 like I did for just getting 4 and not adding that extra crunchy one?
assassin says
1) i did get the $3 Cat.
2) your $1-off-1 Crunchy *might* actually still be there. see, there’s ANOTHER issue, with MyMixx’s website, that i didn’t mention in my already-giant previous post. that is, it’ll list some coupons’ expiration dates as 1 day earlier than their actual (and thus hide them on their TRUE final dates).
looking right at a print-out from 9/23/18, i can tell you that my Jose Ole Dos Tacos $0.50 coupon had a date of 9/30, and my Nature Valley Crunchy Bars $1 was 10/6. however, looking at these SAME coupons closer to their dates, they said 9/29 and 10/5! in fact, the jose ole coupon was GONE from the mymixx website on 9/30, but i bought it anyway, and it worked! likewise, the Crunchy coupon is gone today 10/6, but it DOES show up on the coupons.com website:
https://www.coupons.com/store-loyalty-card-coupons/jewel-osco-coupons/
as well as the Coupons.com app (but this one is stupid with its “use by” dates, which mean “use before” and are always 1 day later than the expiration, so it says 10/7 in this case).
the coupons.com website also has the feature where it’ll show recently consumed e-coupons at the very bottom for a few days or so. both of my $5-off-4 General Mills are sadly there. :'(
if you’re willing to spend $1 final price instead of haggling, look into Mariano’s (with Coupons.com printables and/or SavingStar), as at least two stores have an unadvertised $2 sale thru 10/10.

Finally got back to Jewel today. CS desk had others with MyMixx goofs too, handed me back my $2.50, no problem. So, as you suggested….husband did not check EITHER of his $5 GM offer on his acct. I clipped only 1 offer and he actually did the transaction (rolling my $2 Cat) by itself (and himself!) and paid $3 and got another $2 Cat back! Very smooth. I clipped his 2nd offer and we will go back tomorrow for the final deal. I also forgot to bring some store specific paper coupons today….our Bourbonnais store has been giving us 10% off plus 3 more hot paper coupons in our newspaper each week to entice us from the new Meijer store. That should save ANOTHER $1 just on the 4 bars with store coupon!

Gotcha! Thanks.
