“Oscar Mayer 16oz, Deli Fresh lunchmeat is $3.49. Use the $1 Mariano’s 3X ecoupon and pay $2.49.”
seeing this in their ad struck me as too good to be true, and indeed the coupon’s wording is modified to 7-9oz (and the product linkages match that).
———
Mars, Hershey’s or Ferrero Fun or Snack Size Bagged Candy, selected 10-12 oz. varieties, are $1.99 When You Buy 4 With Card . a new coupons.com just appeared: “Save $1.25 on TWO (2) Mars Wrigley Halloween Bags (8.42-21.5 oz.) M&M’S, TWIX, SNICKERS, 3 MUSKETEERS, MILKY WAY, and SKITTLES”.
——–
another Buy 5 or More, Save $1 Each item (price given after mix-and-match discount):
Newman’s Own salad dressing (16 fl oz normal, or 12 fl oz organic) is $1.99. coupons.com has $1-off-2.

a few new “Mariano’s Exclusive” digital coupons appeared on like the start of 10/9, and only good through Sunday 10/11:
– “$0.77 per lb When you buy Red Grapes from our Produce Department. Limit 2lbs per household.”
– “$0.77 When you buy ONE (1) Kroger Frozen Potatoes, select varieties (22.5-32 oz). Limit one per household.” note that the item linkages are currently also showing Minced Onion Rings 20 oz, and Sweet Potato Crinkle Cut French Fries 19 oz (which is on sale for $2.00 versus $1.67 for the others).
– “$2.99 When you buy ONE (1) Package of Cookies (24 ct) from our Bakery. Limit one per household.” based in part on my early-year purchase of the Reese’s Pieces variety, these are probably 24oz packages.
– “$4.99 When you buy ONE (1) Package of Just Bare Chicken Tenders (2 lb) from our Meat Department. Limit one per household.” they’re natural and Certified Humane, which are pluses.
i’m unfamiliar with this coupon category, so dunno whether these are offered to everybody. since i can still see them when logged out, they probably are.
assassin says
ooh, i forgot about the SavingStar One-or-Many on the Mars Wrigley! it’s “Save $4.00 when you spend $20.00 on Mars Wrigley Halloween Bags (8.42-21.5 oz.) Including M&M’S, TWIX, SNICKERS, 3 MUSKETEERS, MILKY WAY, and SKITTLES”. the same 10/31 expiration date as the coupon, and the same types and sizes. OoMs stack with manufacturer coupons, so this is very synergistic!
suppose that: you print 4 coupons total, the SavingStar tabulation looks at purchase price PRE-coupon (which it usually but not always does), and you buy 12 bags. probably do so on separate groups-of-4 transactions and preferably separate registers, as mariano’s tends to get pissy if you hand them a bunch of identical coupons at once — even when the serial numbers are all distinct.
final price = $23.88 – ($1.25 * 4) – $4 = $14.88 = $1.24 per bag! and under the above assumptions, the 12th bag doesn’t have to be Mars/Wrigley. (if the 2nd assumption re: tabulation is wrong, you’d have to buy a 13th bag.)
if you don’t want that much friggin’ candy, then simply buying 4 Mars Wrigley bags with 2 coupons gets you a very nice per bag cost of $1.37.

yet more Buy 5 or More, Save $1 Each items (prices given after mix-and-match discount):
– Oscar Mayer bologna 12oz = $0.99
– Oscar Mayer uncured wieners or turkey franks, 16oz = $1.49
– Nature Valley snacks (granola bars, soft-baked squares, biscuits) = $1.99 . there’s a $1-off-2 coupon in digital, coupons.com printable, and savingstar formats. plus a $4-off-$20 SavingStar One-or-Many rebate/offer, good through 10/17/20. note that the fruit & nut and the sweet & bars are on NO sale pre-mix-and-match, so it’s probably worth waiting for Week 2 of the B5+S$1e to see if there’s a better price.
– Nature Valley Packed Sustained Energy Bars, 4 count 6.8oz are on sale for $2.99 from $4.29, are NOT in the B5+S$1e, but DO have a generous $1-off-1 coupons.com printable, savingstar, or mariano’s e-coupon.
– Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Treats, 8 count, 6.2 oz original or 5.6oz with M&M’s = $1.49
– Eckrich smoked sausage ropes, 10-14oz = $1.99
– Progresso bread crumbs 15oz = $0.99
– Oscar Mayer Natural deli meat, 8oz, isn’t part of the e-coupon, but is part of the B5+S$1e = $2.99
– Bertolli pasta sauce, 24oz = $1.29 . one exception is the Vineyard Marinara & Burgundy Wine Pasta Sauce, on probable clearance for $1.79 , so $0.79 final price.
– Hormel and Dinty Moore Compleats 7.5-10oz = $1.29
– Chips Ahoy! Thins Cinnamon Sugar Thin & Crispy Cookies 7 oz are on probable clearance for $2.30 (discounted from $3.29). so pay $1.30 final if they’re still in-stock. i doubt they are, as think this clearance dates back months, but i could be confusing with some other cookie.
– Duncan Hines Easy Cake Kit Chocolate Lover’s Chocolate Cake Mix & Chocolate Frosting 8.4 oz is on probable clearance for $2.09 (discounted from $3.49), or $1.09 final.
– Mott’s Applesauce Pouches, 12-count * 3.2oz, in Unsweetened Blueberry and Unsweetened Cherry are on probable clearance for $3.99 (discounted from $7.99), or $2.99 final.
– King Arthur Flour Gluten Free Single Serve Brownie and Cookie Mixes 2 oz = $0.99
– Duncan Hines Lemon Cake with Vanilla Frosting Mug Mix 4 Count, 13 oz is on probable clearance for $2.09 (discounted from $3.49), or $1.09 final.
– De Cecco Pasta 16oz = $0.99, but there’s ZERO sale pre-mix-and-match, so i’d be inclined to wait until next week for a possible change.
– Gilbert’s craft sausages, 4-pack / 10oz = $3.49 . yeah, i’m generally only including ~50% or better discounts in these lists, but the 30% discount on these is on par with the best sale price i see for the brand, so an exception is made. :P
– various Big G cereals = $2.49 . and there’s a $1-off-2 coupon in digital, coupons.com printable, and savingstar formats. yeah, $1.99 ain’t an impressive price for cereal, but it’s still over 50% discount from regular price. plus, it gives me a chance to whine about Basic 4 not being in this sale. it’s not in the good Jewel sales, either. in fact, i’m convinced it’s rarely IN ANY SALE. it’s not hyperbole to call it The Least Discounted Item in the Universe.
assassin says
“– Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Treats, 8 count, 6.2 oz original or 5.6oz with M&M’s = $1.49”
and a $1-off-2 manufacturer’s coupon for Rice Krispies Treats: Crispy Marshmallow Squares and/or Snap Crackle Poppers (5-count or larger, any flavor, mix or match), from the booklet with the September 2020 Mariano’s magazine. as with pretty much every coupon in there, it expires 11/29/20.

yet more Buy 5 or More, Save $1 Each items (prices given after mix-and-match discount):
– most Classico pasta sauce is on NO individualized sale, has a final price of $1.49, and is probably worth waiting until next week. however, an exception due to probable clearance is the Mushroom & Ripe Olives variety, listed at $2.03 (discounted from regular price $2.38, a curious mini lowering from the typical $2.49), so $1.03 final if still in-stock.
– Hills Bros 30.5oz high-yield coffee is $4.99 , and an e-coupon (probably Store) on that specific size for $2 just appeared today. the e-coupon is also good for the normal medium roast, but that has a higher normal price, is on sale for $6.99, and NOT in the mix-and-match.
– Kauai 12-count k-cup coffee is $4.99, and has a $2 e-coupon (probably Store) that just appeared today.
– Kauai 10oz bagged coffee is $4.99, and has a $2 e-coupon (probably Store) that just appeared today.
– various Krusteaz Protein baking mixes:
1. Wild Blueberry Muffin 16.23oz and Banana Nut Muffin 16.22 oz = $2.49
2. Buttermilk Protein Pancake and Waffle Mix 20oz = $2.99 . plus, if you’ve clipped but never used the B1G1F manufacturer e-coupon (e.g. because your store never stocks it *ahem*), that’s $2.99 total or $1.49 each! however, due to a flaw with (mfg) e-coupons in conjunction with B5+S$1e sales i witnessed on Frigo cheeseheads, where it deducts the freebie BEFORE giving you the $1 mix-and-match deduction, there’s a good chance you’ll get these for $1.99 total or $1.00 each!
3. Protein Blueberry Pancake (and Waffle) Mix 20 oz = $2.99 . note that while it SHOULD be eligible for the e-coupon based on description, they failed to ever link the item. so that’s probably why i’ve seen Buttermilk depleted on the shelves, alongside plenty of remaining Blueberries.
– Edge or Skintimate shaving gel (and maybe cream, if they carry) 7oz is $1.99 , and there’s a $1 manufacturer e-coupon or coupons.com printable.
assassin says
i can personally attest to it taking off the full $3.99 pre-mix-and-match price on the Krusteaz e-coupon.

a few clearance items, 2 with combos:
– Atkins Chocolate Chip Crisp Snack Bars 5 Count 6.17 oz are $1.87 (discounted from $7.49), and are included in a $1-off-2 mfg e-coupon OR a superior $1.50-off-1 Checkout51 rebate (Limit 2). dunno how long clearance has been running, or whether in-stock anywhere.
– the booklet with the September 2020 Mariano’s magazine includes a $1-off-2 manufacturer coupon for Del Monte 4-count fruit cups, 4-count Bubble Fruit, and 2-count fruit & oats. Fruit and Oats Strawberry Apple Fruit Cups 2 ct / 7 oz are being cleared out for $1.49. i personally saw these in-stock at at least 1 store a few weeks ago, though might’ve emptied their shelf with my duo. or if your store’s run out or you want other options, use the coupon (it is manufacturer, albeit with chain’s name on very bottom) at Jewel, where they’re clearing out that Strawberry Apple and the Blueberry Apple for $1.48.
– Del Monte No Sugar Added Very Cherry Mixed Fruit 14.5 oz (canned) is $0.45 (discounted from $1.79). no known coupons.
assassin says
Gardein plant-based soups 15oz (with facsimiles of chicken, beef, and sausage) are $1.69 after B5+S$1e, and have a brand new $1 digital coupon.
Dunkin’ Donuts 10-count k-cup coffee is $5.99 after B5+S$1e, and is included in a $1 e-coupon or a $0.75 coupons.com printable.
Herdez salsa 16oz (so Salsa Verde and Salsa Casera, not the 15.7oz Salsa Guacamole with a higher regular price) is $1.59, and there’s a $1-off-1 e-coupon (looks like Store) expiring TODAY 10/13. for potential stacking on this last day and/or for solo usage going forward, coupons.com has a $1-off-2 manufacturer’s printable. so buy 2 and pay $1.09 each, or on 10/13 only, maybe $0.59 each.
