A couple weeks ago, I blogged about 10lb. bags of Gold Leaf frozen chicken quarters on sale at Meijer for $3.99 - about .40/lb., just crazy cheap. On Friday, 7/17 I spotted these still on sale at the Algonquin Meijer -- sale tag end date of 7/18. Mperks has a $1.50-off-$15 chicken ecoupon. I bought four and paid $14.46 for 40lbs. of chicken - that's about .36/lb! (The chicken is labeled that it was raised and processed in the USA -- at that price, I had to check. Note that because Meijer doesn’t allow you to use a coupon on a free item, the 11th participating item the cashier scans at the checkout lane IS your free item. Total disappointment with Meijer this week :(

Few of the same mperk deals as posted, shelves were quite bare & Crayola colored pencils were not $.50…could that have been part of the 2 day sale or from last week maybe?
I haven’t been there in awhile and now I remember why…(sigh)

  :( I have had a couple people email to say the Mperks I wrote about on Wednesday were gone later in the week. As far as the school supplies, many were in the ad, but I wrote down prices in store last week too — all of which had sale tags ending in September. I’m guessing those sales ended and indeed -weren’t- running into September. :( I’m so sorry I will remove the Crayola & start fresh next week.
