I'm still amazed that Walgreens has done away with its weekly ad in favor of "selected deals," none of which have been particularly exciting this week. If this continues, I may drop blogging Walgreens each week. Your thoughts in the comments, please?

Walgreens Store Coupon Deals

Notes on Walgreens store coupons and electronic coupons

Walgreens store coupons can be found in the monthly Instant Value Coupon (IVC) coupon book in the front of the store (small, about checkbook-sized) which comes out each month. You can also load the store coupons to your Balance Rewards card online at Walgreens' website.

You only need one Walgreens store coupon per item at Walgreens. A store coupon for $1.00 off Scope mouthwash will take $1 off every bottle you buy in the same shopping trip. Store coupons can be stacked with manufacturer coupons for additional savings.

There are also manufacturer ecoupons available to load to your card at Walgreens.com. Electronic manufacturer coupons cannot be stacked with paper manufacturer coupons.

The Walgreen’s ad is pathetic. I don’t know what is going on but I don’t like it. You might as well stop blogging about them.

Yes. Their ad is dismal. Not sure what is happening there. I do know that Walgreens just switched to some different computer software so that could be part of it as they are having a lot of issues with it. I tried to log on yesterday (for e-coupons) and it took me over three hours. First they said my password was wrong. It wasn’t. Then they said that there was no such email. Not true because I’ve had this email since 1999. Finally I got them to recognize the email and I just changed my password but the whole thing was an exercise in extreme frustration. So I don’t know what their deal is but I’d like it if you kept blogging them for a month to see if any of this is rectified or if it’s a permanent change. Thank you.

  Especially since there is no CVS in my town. It is a 20 minute drive to the closest one. I also don’t care for the way the EBCs have such a very short window to use them. The Olay Regenerist deal at CVS a while back gave me a $10 EBC but the window was so short that I didn’t get to use it. That’s when I stopped couponing at CVS. For me at this time, $10 is a lot of money. I have gotten used to Walgreens incentives and find them easy to use and redeem. I am usually asked on every stop at Walgreens if I’d like to use my Balance Rewards (or whatever they are calling it now) monies. That’s great and I never lose money because of the way that Walgreens handles their program.
