Notes on Walgreens store coupons and electronic coupons

Walgreens store coupons can be found in the monthly Instant Value Coupon (IVC) coupon book in the front of the store (small, about checkbook-sized) which comes out each month. You can also load the store coupons to your Balance Rewards card online at Walgreens' website.

You only need one Walgreens store coupon per item at Walgreens. A store coupon for $1.00 off Scope mouthwash will take $1 off every bottle you buy in the same shopping trip. Store coupons can be stacked with manufacturer coupons for additional savings.

There are also manufacturer ecoupons available to load to your card at Walgreens.com. Electronic manufacturer coupons cannot be stacked with paper manufacturer coupons.

Balance Rewards Deals

$1.24 Colgate toothpaste

Colgate Optic White or Advanced toothpaste 3.5-5.1oz. are $3.99 each. Buy two and get 4000 Balance Rewards points ($4.) Use the $1 Walgreens ecoupon and the .50 coupon from the 4/7 SS. Pay $6.48 and get $4 back. That's $2.48 for two, or $1.24 each.

Notes on Balance Rewards points

Walgreens Balance Rewards points accrue on your Balance Rewards card when you buy featured items in the ad each week. Every 1000 points is worth $1.00. You can "cash out" (spend) your Balance Rewards points in increments of $1.00 too.

1000 points = $1.00
2000 points = $2.00
3000 points = $3.00
4000 points = $4.00
5000 points = $5.00

Notes on Register Rewards

You will only receive one Register Reward per offer per transaction. Example: A name-brand box of cereal generates a $1 Register Reward. Buying three identical boxes will not generate three $1 rewards. You cannot use Register Rewards to pay for items made by the same manufacturer. This will prevent the next set of Register Rewards from printing.

Example: I have a $1 Register Reward that I received buying Crest. If I use it to buy more Crest, the register will not generate another reward, as the first Crest reward prevents it from printing. Now, if I used a Crest Reward to buy Colgate, a Colgate Reward would print. I could then use that to buy Crest, and so on.

You can receive multiple Register Rewards in the same transaction, provided they are separate offers. I can buy a box of cereal that generates a Register Reward, a tube of toothpaste that generates a Register Reward, and a bottle of shampoo that generates a Register Reward -- all in the same transaction -- as long as they are different offers in the same ad.

I have a couple hot deals that just popped up to add. Hurry and check your digital coupons for the $5.98/2 Oral-B products that I believe appeared yesterday. It shows toothbrushes, toothpaste and mouthwash in picture on coupon and others are getting Oral-B toothbrushes priced at $2.99 for FREE plus there is an ibotta for $2/2 back on specific ones. (Makes for a $2 MM after the deal!) I am swimming in toothbrushes right now as well as Crest toothpaste, so I actually need some floss and decided to try it to see if it qualifies for new coupon. It did! I picked the single teal colored pack of mint Oral-B Glide floss and grabbed 2 and they are sale priced $2.99 each like the toothbrushes are. 2 ring up $0.00 just pay tax if you are lucky enough to still find the high value digital.

I also found a digital $1/2 Dole pineapple coupon, so buy 2, priced 2/$2 (must buy 2) and they are only 50c a can after coupon! There is also a new coupons.com to print for $1/2 Dole, so if you want more print that one as well.
Great shopping trip this morning, I was too focused to even scour the after Easter clearances! (calories saved!)
