Here’s a fun heads-up if you like watching free television (as we do!) Are you familiar with Crackle? If not, read on…
Crackle is a division of Sony Pictures which streams free, uncut movies and television shows to your computer, device, or television. What’s the catch? There isn’t one! We first discovered Crackle about two years ago when we purchased a new Sony television that was wi-fi capable. It’s built into our television, and selecting the Crackle icon brings up hundreds of movies and television shows that you can watch — free! We love it.
If you have a Sony television, you too may have Crackle already built in to enjoy. If not, many other Sony devices can receive Crackle programming and stream it to your TV:
Crackle is currently available on the following Sony devices: Blu-Ray Player, Bravia TV, Dash, Internet TV, Network Media Player, Streaming Player and PlayStation 3. Crackle is also available through Boxee, Google TV, Logitech Revue, Roku, Sezmi, Tivo, Verizon FiOS and Xbox.
And, of course, you can always simply visit Crackle’s website, pick what you want to watch, and enjoy! I like to pull Crackle up too when I’m traveling and there’s nothing good on TV. It’s like having a free DVR of hit shows and movies to pick from, wherever you are.

I’ve been using my PS3 for Netflix Instant for years but never knew this was sitting there as well. Crackle is now active.

Well, there is a “catch”. You have to watch commercials. They are sometimes placed in weird spots, and sometimes the commercial will play, and then it will say that it’s unable to play the movie.
But for free, it’s okay.
