For Cottonelle, use two .50 printables or .50 coupons from the 7/31 SS. Pay $8.98 and get a $2 Catalina. That’s $6.98 for two, or $3.49 each!
Now, reader Dancingwolves discovered something else that can make this deal even better. She shopped at the Crystal Lake store, and the Cottonelle rang up at $4.99. The register then gave another $1 instant savings off each package. I suspect that the packages were originally supposed to ring up at $5.99 with a $1 discount coming off each for buying two, but she did several rounds of it ringing up at $4.99 with another $1 instant savings coming off, making it $3.99 per package before coupon/Catalina.
No guarantees that this price will work everywhere, but if your store rings up the same way, buy two ($7.98 after instant.) Use two .50 printables or insert coupons. Pay $6.98 and get a $2 Catalina. That’s $4.98 for two, or just $2.49 per package after instant/coupon/Catalina savings – about .25 per double roll or .49 per mega roll! These are excellent prices for Cottonelle!
Again, this deal could change at any time, so don’t be upset if it doesn’t work this way — it’s very possible they could “fix” it at any point to ring up at $4.99 after instant, which is what is in the ad. $3.49 is still a great price for Cottonelle! Why not take a chance on getting an even better deal?
UPDATE: As of now, it seems the Crystal Lake store is the only store I know of that’s ringing at $3.99 after the instant. I’ve tried the deal at the Algonquin and Huntley locations, and at both, the Cottonelle is $4.99 after the instant.

I purchased (2) Cottenelle Mega Rolls @ 4.99 each in Cary. They each had $.75 coupons attached. However, my $2 Catalina did not print. What did print was a $5 Jewel Store coupon! I haven’t seen one of those in AGES! I’ll have to contact Catalina to find out what happened.

Okay, I did two rounds today — one at Algonquin and one at Huntley. At Algonquin, I too bought the Mega and got NO Catalina. At Huntley I tried the double and DID get the Catalina. I contacted Catalina with my receipt info, but now that you said this, I wonder if the Mega is not working. I’m going to update above that a couple of us have had problems now with the Mega.
