CVS/pharmacy ceases sales of tobacco products one month early

Last year, CVS/pharmacy announced it would stop selling cigarettes and other tobacco products at the more than 7,600 CVS/pharmacy stores by October 1, 2014.

Today, CVS announced that they’ve officially ended tobacco sales in all CVS/pharmacy locations, one month earlier than expected, and will be launching a smoking cessation program to help people kick the habit with resources and services available at CVS/pharmacy and MinuteClinic locations nationwide.

They’re also kicking off a #OneGoodReason hashtag today on social media, where people can share One Good Reason to live tobacco-free.
