CVS/pharmacy announces new iPad app

CVS/pharmacy has launched a new “virtual pharmacy” iPad app this week which creates a virtual “store” that you can browse from the comfort of your tablet.

CVS sent over a statement about the app:

The use of tablets is increasing at a rapid pace, and is changing the way people shop, save, and use loyalty programs and coupons. CVS/pharmacy has seen a dramatic rise in the number of customers accessing the company’s website,
pharmacy services and shopping functions via tablets.

For the first time, customers can explore a virtual CVS/pharmacy with a 3D shopping experience that lets them access services like the Pharmacy, ExtraCare, Photo Center and MinuteClinic, as well as browse their favorite departments to shop.

The free iPad app is now available in the iTunes store.
