CVS/pharmacy Drugstore Deals

Eagle-eyed reader Jackie spotted a super deal on Herbal Essences haircare at CVS!

6-14oz. Herbal Essences shampoo, conditioner and stylers are on sale for $2.50 at CVS. Now, there’s a $1-off-2 in the new 7/7 PG that drops these to $2 each, which is “okay.”

But, there’s a “$5 off 2 Clairol Products” coupon too! While the coupon shows haircolor, it states “TWO Clairol Products.” Herbal Essences IS a Clairol product! So, use this $5-off-2 coupon for TWO FREE BOTTLES! Jackie writes that the coupon scanned just fine, and reminds us “if CVS is out, you can always price match Walmart and Target!”
7/8 UPDATE: P&G has responded that their intention was to specify that these coupons are for haircolor only, though they will reimburse the stores if this coupon is presented for other Clairol products. I’m scratching the deal and will not use this coupon for future matchups.

Reader Abigail spotted a great deal on Puffs tissues at CVS!

Puffs 95-100ct. or 48-68ct. Puffs Plus tissues are on sale for .99, limit 10. There’s a.25-off-3 coupon in the 7/7 PG to drop these to about .91 per box.

Look for boxes like these, which Abigail found, advertising a $1 Puffs coupon inside.

Selected boxes have $1 Puffs coupons inside, with NO size restriction. Buy your three, take them to the car, and open the boxes. Grab the $1 coupons and buy three more – your next three will be FREE. That’s $2.72 for six boxes, or about .45 per box!

DEAL IDEAS: Pantene is good here with the $1 off and B1G1F coupons. With four inserts, you could do this:

Buy eight Pantenes ($3.50 each) and two .97 Dawn (to get you up to the pennies-under-$30 mark.) Use two $2-off-2 printables for your first four bottles, then four B1G1F insert coupons on the second two bottles. Use two .25 Dawn coupons from the 7/7 PG.

Pay $11.44. Get $10 back in ExtraBucks! That’s $1.44 for EIGHT Pantenes and two Dawns – about .14 per item!

Your cheapest deal is to buy three Edge ($10.47.) Use three .55 coupons (now $8.82.) Pay $8.82 and get $4 in ExtraBucks. That’s $4.82 for three, or about $1.61 each.

4.2oz. Listerine toothpaste and 30-50yd. Reach floss are also priced at $2.99 and are part of the deal, but the Listerine is your best bet deal-wise.

Note that the rebate does, for the first time ever, state that the $50 is AFTER coupons – so that’s something to keep in mind if you’re putting scenarios together.

BUT… scan your ExtraCare card for a $10-off-$30 coupon good for ALL SUMMER PRODUCTS. Now, if you find $30 worth of participating summer gear that you’d like, use your coupon and pay $20. Then, get $10 back in ExtraBucks, and you’re taking home new beach, yard, or deck gear for $10!

  1. On the rebate form it states you must spend $50 after coupons. So, how does that work if you only spend $44.97?

  2. There are BOGO coupons on the Sheba cat food cans which will bring the cost down to 2/.50 or .25/each.

  3. Just wanted to mention that the requirement that the purchase price to qualify for the rebate is post coupons is not new to the current promotion. I happen to be filling out the form for the last promotion ($10 for $30 purchase) and it has the exact same language, clearly saying that if the total is below $30 after coupons you do not qualify for the rebate. Big bummer for me as well because I’m a huge Olay fan as well and look forward to when I can stock up.

  4. Where do I find the BOGO coupon for Pantene. Sorry I am new to this and have been looking every where?
