Hello, Super-Couponers! Christmas is ONE WEEK away. To help you get everything done, I worked on getting Deals up as quickly as possible today! And, December 18th is also a special day around here as it’s my oldest son’s birthday. Rather than write deals all day, I crammed overnight, enjoyed a nice day with the family, then finished up after lunch! I can’t wait to spend the rest of his “big 7” day with him, so happy shopping to you all, and happy birthday to Ben (who actually does read Mom’s blog at times.)
Once again, I have so many things to give away before the end of the year that I am running two giveaways this week. First, enter to win an opportunity to shop, snack, and save with a fantastic spoil-yourself-and-relax gift pack in SavingStar’s “Holiday Snacks, Soups, Skincare and Savings” Giveaway! And, two readers will each win a free bottle of Country Bob’s All-Purpose Sauce, great for burgers, poultry, seafood and more!
Want to learn to save with coupons? Attend a Super-Couponing workshop, or order your copy on DVD and learn in the comfort of your own home… at your own pace! Don’t forget that Super-Couponing DVDs make a GREAT gift this holiday season too! New this season: $5.95 flat shipping, no matter how many items you order! (This is your chance to give the gift of savings to friends and family… and to answer their endless questions of “how did you learn to save so much money with coupons?!” :) THE LAST DAY TO ORDER SUPER-COUPONING DVDs and GUARANTEE DELIVERY BEFORE CHRISTMAS IS DECEMBER 20th! The USPS has posted that Priority Mail shipments sent after December 21st are not guaranteed to arrive before the holidays… so order soon!
As always, it’s time for Chicagoland’s Deals of the Week. I’ve got all the best supermarket and drugstore deals of the week written just for you… all in one place, on one page! As always, grab your scissors and coupon inserts, and get ready to start clipping this week, as bunches of bargains and freebies are heading your way!
This week’s newspaper contained NO coupon inserts. (Why? Weeks on and around holidays typically have little to no coupon inserts, so this is normal.) But today’s Chicago Tribune does contain a nice bonus – another $10 off $10 coupon for Fannie May stores! Find it on page 38 of the “Nation and World” section (the actual newspaper part.) It’s good through 12/24, so hop to it.
(Fun and easy math lesson for your kids? Give them a paper bag, a $10 Fannie May coupon, and turn them loose on the bulk candy wall of your Fannie May if your store has one. Bulk chocolates, caramels, and other Fannie May treats are $14.99/lb. when purchased by the bag. There’s a scale near the display to weigh your bag on. 11 ounces of candy puts you right around $10.30, and your child can pay with change. My kids loved picking out whatever they wanted from the candy store and weighing their bag to see how much more they could add! Fun treat for the birthday boy too :)

“Deals of the Week” is written assuming you are using the inserts from the Chicago Tribune (or, if reading from outside Chicagoland, the largest newspaper serving your market area. That largest paper has the most, highest-value coupons. The content, coupons, and dollar amounts of the coupons in the RedPlum and SmartSource inserts differs by paper, so to coupon effectively, it’s best to subscribe to the paper that contains the highest-value coupons.)

Starting at Jewel-Osco… View weekly ad | Load Jewel Avenu ecoupons | Load SavingStar ecoupons
Once again, there’s a coupon for $10 off any brand bone-in spiral, shank, or butt portion ham at Jewel-Osco with a $25 purchase in Sunday’s ad! If you’re spending $25 anyway, throw in a cheap $10-$12 ham and pay very, very little! (Between last week’s Buy One Get One Free Hormel ham deal, and this coupon… do you even want to guess how many hams I have “acquired” over the past week?)
Other notable coupons in the Sunday Jewel ad:
– Oscar Mayer bacon (12-16oz.) – 2 for $7, limit 4.
– Culinary Circle pizzas (12-36oz.) – 2 for $8
– Jewel Butter Quarters (16oz.) are $1.99 each, limit 4.
Here’s a great deal on Old Orchard Cranberry Naturals juice (64oz.) It’s on sale this week for $2 per bottle. If you’re a Facebook user, head on over to Facebook and print a $2 printable, making this FREE! (The coupon is on HyVee’s Facebook wall, but it’s a manufacturer coupon.) If you’re not on Facebook, here’s a .50 printable, making this $1.50.
Now, if you don’t mind sending an ecard to a friend (and in turn, your friend doesn’t mind receiving one!) click and “Say Happy Holidays with a Buy One Get One Free Coupon!” When you send an e-card, both you AND the recipient will get a B1G1F coupon!
So, if you do the deal this way, use a $2 coupon on your first bottle, a B1G1F coupon on your second… and BOTH will be free! If you used the .50 coupon and the B1G1F, you’ll pay $1.50 for two bottles after the deal, or .75 each!
Readers are having fun with the $1 off any Homelife Cleaning Product coupon in Jewel’s December “Freshly Made Holiday” coupon book (available in stores.) Readers are reporting Homelife cleaning sponges at $1.34 and Homelife Bleach at $1.49, just .34 and .49 after coupon. And, in the 12/15 ad, Homelife Oven Cleaner, Glass and Surface Wipes, or Lemon Furniture Wipes are all $1.99 – they’ll be .99 after coupon. AND, I noticed this week that the holiday designs of Homelife paper towels are included too, so there’s still time to get some festive snowmen or gingerbread guys on your paper towel holder before next weekend… FREE!
Note that this coupon is limit one per transaction.
There’s an instant-savings deal running on Nestle Ice Cream products. The ad shows Edy’s 1.5-quarts, Haagen-Dazs treats and cups. Buy 3 and save $3! I’m not quite sure though if this one is an instant or a Catalina, because while the ad says “Save $3 instantly,” it also says “Limit 1 coupon per transaction. Coupon issued at checkout.”
Well, either way, the only item with a price in the ad are the Edy’s 1.5qt. ice creams. They’re on sale for $5.99, B1G1F. An all-Edys deal would look like this: Buy 4 Edys ($11.98.) Get $3 off one way or another and pay $8.98 for four, or about $2.25 each!
If any of the small, cheaper ice cream CUPS are included (like those Edy’s singles that often go on sale for $1) the deal could be even better, as buying two B1G1F Edys count as two items toward your three. And I headed to my store to go gather prices, but none of the items were tagged yet..! Hmm.
Use-it-or-lose-it deal: If you haven’t used all of your $1 Reach dental floss coupons up from the 4/17 SS, Reach is on sale again for… you guessed it… $1. FREE Reach!
Here’s a deal on Beech-Nut baby food jars! Baby food deals are pretty rare (usually it’s the most expensive food, ounce per ounce, you’ll ever buy) so if you like jarred food, you may want to jump on this. Beech Nut Stage 2 1/2 foods (for 8 months and up) are .65 each at most Jewel stores.
There’s a national Catalina running on Beech-Nut Stage 2/12 – buy 20 and get a $3 Catalina. There’s also a $1.10-off-4 printable with a nice high print limit of SIX available!
So, let’s put the deal together. Buy 20 jars ($13.) Use five $1.10-off-4s (now $7.50.) Pay $7.50 and get a $3 Catalina back… that’s $4.50 for 20 jars, or about .23 per jar. For baby food, this is a good price.
NOW… make the deal better. Look for CLEARANCE jars of Beech Nut. I spotted some varieties for .49 per jar (expiration dates were mid-2013 too.) Doing the deal with these looks like this: Buy 20 ($9.80.) Use five $1.10-off-4s (now $4.30.) Pay $4.30 and get a $3 Catalina! That’s $1.30 for TWENTY jars, or about .07 per jar!
Note too that because this is a national Catalina, it’s also running at Dominick’s, Meijer, and Kroger too! Print the coupons and do the deal wherever you’d like, or wherever you find the jars cheapest! (My beautiful mom checked in from Meijer and said that they are .63/jar there.)
Jewel’s weekly flyer has a bunch of store coupons in it that can be stacked with manufacturer coupons for additional savings! Best bets?
– 16oz. Jewel Butter Quarters are $1.99 each, limit 2, with coupon.
– 32oz. (big bottles!) Coffee-Mate creamers are $2.49 each, limit 4. Use this .75 Facebook printable and pay $1.74! That’s not a bad price for these giant bottles, which are double the size of the little ones. It would work out to paying .87 each for two 16-ouncers.
“Buy 10, Save $5 – Mix, Match and Save Instant-Savings Sale” Buying any 10 of the following items will generate $5 in instant savings! Prices shown are after the Buy-10 savings. Freebies/Cheapies from the “Freshly Made Holiday” coupon book currently found in Jewel-Osco stores
If you have the December “Freshly Made Holiday” coupon book found in stores, there’s a coupon inside for $1 off any Homelife cleaning product. Single rolls of Homelife paper towels are on sale for $1! After coupon, get them FREE! Readers are also reporting Homelife cleaning sponges at $1.34 and Homelife Bleach at $1.49, just .34 and .49 after coupon too. And, in the 12/15 ad, Homelife Oven Cleaner, Glass and Surface Wipes, or Lemon Furniture Wipes are all $1.99 – they’ll be .99 after coupon. Note that this coupon is limit one per transaction.
Reader Prea writes that Essential Everyday Toaster Pastries are $1.69 at most Jewel locations. In the same “Fresh Holiday” coupon book, there’s a $1 coupon for any Essential Everyday item that will net you a box for .69! Again, this store coupon is also limit one per transaction.
BlueDemon20, spotted some more great buys with the same $1 off any EE item coupon. Everyday Essentials small, old fashioned oatmeal is $1.89 — just .89 after the Everyday Essentials $1 coupon. And, the EE Shredded Wheat is $2.29 — just 1.29 after the coupon.

(Anytime meat is under $2 a pound (no matter what it is — beef, pork, poultry) it’s a buy in my book, because $2 per pound is a cycle low and a good benchmark for meat prices. This is also true for most produce. Seafood, by its nature, is more expensive per pound, but a good “buy” benchmark is $4 per pound or less.)
Let’s go to Dominick’s… View weekly ad | Load Dominick’s Just For U ecoupons
Note to Safeway shoppers reading from outside Chicagoland: In Chicago, Dominick’s does not double coupons (as other Safeway stores do) – if your store doubles, you’ll do even better with many of these deals. Ecoupons are now available in the “Just For U / Coupon Center” section of electronic coupons available at Dominicks.com.

Or, buy two and use this $1 printable (print 2!) You’ll pay $2.18 for two, or $1.09 each!

Here’s a deal on Juicy Juice! 8ct. juice boxes of 64oz. bottles are on sale for $2.50 each. When you buy four, you’ll get $3 in instant savings! There’s a $2-off-4 store coupon at Meijer Mealbox. After coupon and instant, pay $5 for 4, or $1.25 each! Great price for this.
If you’re on Facebook, Juicy Juice has a Facebook game in which you have to upload a photo and put a disguise on it. If this interests you, you’ll be rewarded with a .55 manufacturer coupon at the end that you can stack into this deal.
Ritz Crackers are pretty cheap this week too! Ritz, Crackerfuls and Toasted Chips (6-16oz.) are all on sale for $1.99. There’s a .50-off-2 store coupon on Meijer Mealbox. Stack this with the $1-off-2 coupon from 11/13 SS or a printable. You’ll pay $2.48 for two, or $1.24 each!
Oscar Mayer Meat Wieners or Bologna or Fun Pack Lunchables (16oz., 9.5-10.8oz. Lunchable) are on sale 3 for $5, or about $1.67 each. When you buy 3, you will get the 4th FREE! This essentially drops each one to $1.25 each, a good price for the hot dogs and bologna.
Note that you are limited to two FREE items per transaction (meaning you can buy 8 Oscar Mayer items in each transaction.)
Kellogg’s cereals are on sale this week too. Frosted Flakes (14oz.), Corn Flakes (12oz.), Crispix (12oz.), or Raisin Bran (15oz.) are on sale for $2.50 each. Buy four and get $2 in instant savings, which knocks these to $2 per box. Use this $1-off-3 printable and pay $7 for 4, or $1.75 each. (And, there’s still time to submit the $10 Kellogg’s rebate if you’re buying the Corn Flakes or Raisin Bran and have UPCs from previous sales.)
Coffee deal! Maxwell House Ground Coffee (32.5-34.5oz.) is on sale for $7.49. Buy two and get $5 in instant savings! That works out to $9.98 for two, or $4.99 each! And, if you have any $1 printables from previous weeks, use them here for an even better deal.
UPDATE: Momof4 writes that you’ll also get a $3 STORE Catalina when you buy two Maxwell House. That really sweetens this even more — $6.98 for two, or $3.49 each – with NO coupons!
Meijer’s running a “Spend $50, Get $12” sale on any Purina Cat or Dog Food, Treats, or Tidy Cat Litter. Keep in mind that during these sales, every Purina food item in the store’s typically included, though they don’t show all of the prices in the ad. Here IS what’s in the ad, with matchups: Purina Beggin’ Strips Treats (6oz.) – $2.50 Purina Beneful Dog Food (15-15.5lbs.) – $14.29 Purina Beneful Prepared Meals (10oz.) – $1.50 Purina Beneful Snackin Slices Dog Treats (11oz.) – $3.99 Purina Busy Strips or Busy Dental Bone Treats (5oz.) – $2.50 Purina Cat Chow (16lbs.) – $9.99 Purina Dog Chow – no price in ad Purina Fancy Feast Appetizers (2oz.) – $1 Purina Fancy Feast Gourmet Cat Food (3oz.) – .50 Purina Friskies Cat Food (6.3oz.) – $3.50 Purina Friskies Party Mix, Crispies or Indoor Crunchies Cat Treats (2.1oz.) – $1.25 Purina Mighty Dog Food (5.5oz. cans) – .65 Purina One Dog, Puppy or Cat Food (16-18lbs.) – $17.99 Purina One Beyond Dog Food or Cat Food (3-3.5lbs.) – $5.99 Purina Tidy Cats Scoop Litter (20lbs.) – $7.99 Purina Tiny T-Bonz Filet Mignon Treats (10oz.) – $2.50 DEAL IDEA: It would be difficult to pull off unless you’re a mega-newspaper-getter, but if you happened to have nine of the 10/9 SS inserts, buy nine Purina One Beyond dog or cat foods ($53.91). Use nine $4 coupons (now $17.91.) Pay $17.91 and get a $12 Catalina, netting you nine bags of pet food for $5.91, or about .58 each! More realistic: If you had four coupons, you’d pay $37.91 and get $12 back. That’s $25.91 for nine, or about $2.88 per bag. |
Here’s a deal on Beech-Nut baby food jars! Baby food deals are pretty rare (usually it’s the most expensive food, ounce per ounce, you’ll ever buy) so if you like jarred food, you may want to jump on this. Beech Nut Stage 2 1/2 foods (for 8 months and up) are .63 each at Meijer.
There’s a national Catalina running on Beech-Nut Stage 2 1/2 – buy 20 and get a $3 Catalina. There’s also a $1.10-off-4 printable with a nice high print limit of SIX available!
So, let’s put the deal together. Buy 20 jars ($12.60.) Use five $1.10-off-4s (now $7.10.) Pay $7.10 and get a $3 Catalina back… that’s $4.10 for 20 jars, or about .21 per jar. For baby food, this is a good price.
Note too that because this is a national Catalina, it’s also running at Dominick’s, Jewel, and Kroger too! Print the coupons and do the deal wherever you’d like, or wherever you find the jars cheapest!
“No Coupon Needed” Deals:
1lb. Meijer butter quarters are $2, limit 4
Mott’s applesauce (23-24oz. jars or cups) are 3-for-$5, or $1.67 each

Are you a Meijer Mperks member? Mperks is a different set of electronic Meijer coupons. They’re attached to your cellphone number, but aside from one text message to activate your account, you do not need to use text messaging to continually use them. Once you register with Meijer Mperks, you log into the Mperks website and click the electronic coupons you’d like to load to your account. Then, when you’re at the checkout, type your cellphone number into the keypad at the register, and your coupons come off automatically.

Note that Meijers in other states are on different schedules. The Illinois Meijers are about a week behind on the sales vs. most of Indiana/Michigan. If you’re in Illinois, these Meijer deals run through Wednesday. If you’re reading from another state, they ENDED Saturday at your store… Confusing? Yes.
AND, if you shop at the Illinois NILES or ORLAND Meijer locations, they typically haven’t been following the same sale flyer as the other Illinois Meijers.

Here are your Hilander deals (also running at Logli and Schnucks)… View weekly ad
The Rockford-area Logli stores share the same ad as Hilander (Schnucks) now, so these deals apply at the four Rockford-area Logli stores as well. I have had some readers from DeKalb write and ask if these deals will also apply to their store. In looking at both ads, SOME of the deals are the same, but Rockford at times has a Hilander-specific wraparound that isn’t a part of the DeKalb Schnucks ad. Remember too that the DeKalb store does not double coupons.
MOST IMPORTANTLY: The Schnucks ad cycle is a WEDNESDAY to TUESDAY ad. These deals run through TUESDAY, DECEMBER 24th.
16.3oz. jars of Planters Peanut Butter are on sale for $2. Buy two and get a FREE box of Nabisco Premium Saltines!

Now, since Schnucks took over Hilander, I’m not sure if they will allow you to use another coupon on the second back, or if it would double. IF they do, with a second coupon, you’ll pay $2.99 for two bags, or $1.50 each! If you do this deal, please let me know if it works. :)

For the past couple of years or so, Walgreens has run Register Rewards promotions around the holidays. Their “Jingle Cash” promo is back this year. If you received Jingle Cash last week, you must spend it THIS week (12/18 through 12/21) and you must use it on a $30 minimum purchase. The ad also notes that there are other exclusions that will be printed on the coupon itself. All things to consider before you go Jingle-Cashing. And now, on to the Walgreens deals…
Bayer Low Dose Aspirin (32ct.) is on sale for $2.25. Buy TWO and get $3 back in Register Rewards! You’ll find $1 coupons in the 10/23 RP and the 9/11 RP. With two coupons, pay $2.50 for two packages… and get $3 back in RRs! Your aspirin is FREE and a moneymaker!

The lip balms are $2.99, so free with coupon – and if you print two coupons, the second one will be free with another coupon anyway, as it’s half price. But if you like other Yes To Carrots items, using one coupon on each with the B1G150% sale is a great way to knock the price down, as there are rarely coupons on this. In the winter, we love the Super Rich Body Butter, which is $12.99 at my store (but truly, it’s fantastic and moisturizes all day long… and a tub of it lasts for ages.) With this deal, buying two for $19.49, minus two $3 coupons, drops it to $13.49 for two – or about $6.75 each. Good enough for me and all the other Cataldos who are hooked on this stuff.

… but wait! There are some other good coupons to work into this deal if you’re buying the Olay. The 11/27 PG has a “Buy Olay facial moisturizer and get Olay Body Wash FREE” coupon, and the 12/11 RP has “Buy Olay product, get $4 off Luscious Embrace or Silk Whimsy bar soap.” Add any of these into the deal, one coupon for each Olay, and you’re making it even better.

Kleenex facial tissue (78-110ct.) – .99

Seriously… that’s about it. There are some other things included, but nothing crazy-cheap this week.
CVS is running a “Spend $10, get $5 in ECBs” on Organix and FX haircare. Bottles usually run about $5.99, so you could potentially get two bottles for $6.98, or $3.49 each. If you like Organix, it’s not too cheap very often.
CVS/pharmacy is continuing a Gift Giveaway Event on Twitter this week too! To participate, follow @CVS_Extra for the rules. Then, all you have to do is chat with CVS using the hashtag #CVSgifts, as they ask questions about who you still have to buy for, your favorite Christmas gifts, whether you get gifts for your pets, and more! This could be a fun way to snag a great gift, totally free! It’s like having a Secret Santa monitoring your Twitter feed. :)
CVS Tips: Remember to always scan your CVS card at the Coupon Center scanner in the store — it prints bonus coupons for you!
And, if you haven’t already, make sure your CVS ExtraCare card is registered for the CVS Beauty Club before you do any of these deals. It gives you $5 in ECBs for every $50 you spend on beauty products, and it is cumulative, meaning you don’t have to spend $50 in one trip. It keeps track for you and will automatically print ECBs on your next visit to the store when you reach a $50 threshold.

Wrapping things up with Walmart…
Reader DealJunkie spotted FREE Duck Tape at Walmart. 50-yard Duck Packaging Tape is .97 at most Walmart stores. Print this $1 coupon and get it FREE!
Note that this coupon WILL print your first and last name on the coupon. For coupons like these, I like to use my lesser-known alias, “Valued Customer,” which is then what will print on your coupon too.
DealJunkie points out that this coupon has a hilarious disclaimer printed on it too:
“Please do not attempt to redeem this coupon against the purchase of any other product as refusal may cause embarrassment and delay at the checkout.”
Policies to know:
- Walmart will price match any competitor’s advertised price. Bring the other store’s flyers with you to the store.
- With the new coupon policy, Walmart will also accept other store’s STORE coupons with an actual price listed on them. For example, a Dominick’s store coupon advertising “.99 Ragu Pasta Sauce” would be accepted. A Walgreens store coupon advertising “2/$1 Morton’s Salt” would be accepted. (A Target store coupon for “$2.50 off Huggies” would not, because it does not show the actual selling price of the item.)
- With the new coupon policy, Walmart will also accept competitor’s Catalina manufacturer coupons. You can get a Catalina for $1 off Snuggle and use it at Walmart.
- Walmart’s new coupon policy specifically addresses coupon overage. It says “Coupons may exceed the price of the item. Change may be given or applied toward the cost of the basket purchase.”
I would print a copy and carry a copy of the coupon policy with you if you anticipate any issues.
I do not blog Walmart deals each week unless there is a weekly ad with noteworthy deals. Every store location’s regular prices are different, and Walmart does not issue a weekly ad every week. I’ve listed Walmart at the end of each week’s Deals writeup, because if you see any deals above that you want, you’ll likely also be able to do them at Walmart.

As always, these deals are guidelines for shopping. I can make no guarantee that these items will be on sale, in stock, or available at your area store. I can also not guarantee your Catalinas will print, your cashier will smile at you while you check out, or that your shopping cart won’t have a broken wheel. But I CAN teach you how to save money :)
And, also, as always, a huge thanks to the many readers who posted and emailed deals that made it into today’s Deals of the Week! We’re all in this together, and I sincerely appreciate everyone who spots and passes along good deals that we can all enjoy :) Thank you… to YOU!

It’s an inexpensive magazine ($2.49 an issue) that is absolutely filled with coupons each month — typically $50-$100 worth per issue! Depending on the values, if you use 2 or 3 coupons alone from each issue, you’ve recouped the cost of the magazine, and you’re on your way to even bigger savings.)

Jill Thank you for posting so early and for just posting period! I have been couponing for a mere 3 weeks and you have changed the way I shop as well as my friends and family whom are slowly becoming hooked. Happy birthday to Ben and may you and your family have a wonderful holiday!

Thanks for the early posting!! Just curious whether there is a special zip code for the $2/1 Glade coupon you mention for the plug-ins? or if it was just something available earlier that may have run out now? I can’t seem to find it…

Is there anyway possible of getting clarification on the Smart Balance milk pricing from store to store. It was on sale in Indiana last Sunday thru Saturday. Bolingbrook is on sale Sunday thru Tuesday. I was told it would be on sale at Orland Meijer, BUT cannot get confirmation. (even by phone) Bolingbrook nor Orland Pk area flyers show the milk on sale. Phoned Bolingbrook to get their price, although the drive is far. I was in Orland Meijer store abt. a week ago and inquired on the sale. They said it was on. Today they do not know what I am talking about. Quite frustrating.
Thank you in advance and for the early post. Merry Christmas!!!

I bought four Smart Balance milks at Meijer. Surprise! I received a CAT for $2 off a carton of Smart Balance milk. So I bought a fifth one for .59.

I went today to get a few at the CVS in Evanston near the intersection of Ridge and Central and Crawford. The display said while supplies last, if anyone is interested in cheap stocking stuffers. :)

does not include the purchase of dairy. So do not count your milk or Chobani or Kraft cheese towards your $35 minimum purchase. Sigh.

I bought 2 Swanson broths at Meijer today and got a $1 cat. I couldn’t find details about this deal. Does anyone know when this ends and any other details?

I couldn’t bring up *any* Glade Q’s… :( So sad. I even tried a computer that I don’t print from to see if I had just reached a limit. *sigh* Oh well.

There was a strip of coupons inside the Joseph ad(if you get one) and there was a $2 off 2 oscar meyer bacon coupon to use with the Jewel store coupon this week.

Any beepage on the Duck Tape coupon? I used your alias, Jill. ;-)

You can still do Olay rebate $30/$10 for CVS deal, if you haven’t already.
Plug ins at Target are $4.50 not $2.50, they only have double packs in Holiday not single, EXCEPT Holiday Cheer variety in gold box. Only those are $2.50, and you can use those $2 Qs or $1.50 from last paper on each one, because they are double. I had a $14 MM and I bought 10 candles and 5 double plugins.

I can’t find the linked Smartsource online “snapware” coupon from the Meijer deal listing. What zip code do I need to put in to get it?
Thanks!

How do you get coke rewards? to get this deal at dominicks?
12-packs of Coke products are on sale Buy 2 Get THREE Free. If you have two free coupons for 12-packs from Coke Rewards (they just offered these again, so if yours show up before the end of this sale, you can do this!) take them over and buy FOUR 12-packs. Your coupons will cover the first two cases, and the other two will be FREE with the store’s sale.

…But I am not comprehending under Kroger:
“Ore-Ida potatoes (19-32oz.) are on sale for $2 per bag. Buy two and get the 3rd free! You’ll pay $2 for three, or about .67 each!”
If you’re buying 2, aren’t you paying $4 for 3? Is there a coupon that is supposed to be also used here?

Reminder: Their were $.55 of Kraft cheeses, $1 off of Maxwell House, and $1 off Nabisco Q’s in two different coupon booklets a LONG while back. I can’t recall who or what was on the front since I cut mine out. Dig them out if you still have any; they expire 12/31.

I just wanted to clarify Dominicks sale on chicken breast before I head out there. It says above 7lb. bags of Safeway boneless skinless chicken breasts are $7.96 – that’s $1.99/lb. Wouldn’t that be $1.13/lb? Is the size of the bag mislabeled? Then is says TUESDAY ONLY DEALS: 4lb. bags of Safeway Boneless Skinless chicken breasts are $6.76. That’s a fantastic $1.69/lb.! Otherwise on Tuesday only I get a worse deal if I buy the 4 lb bag versus buying the 7 lb bag this week?

Please wish your son a happy belated birthday. I smiled today when I read your deals. I didn’t look at coupons yesterday because my son is also born on the 18th. Great to see your son is a scout. My son is also boy scout with T151 in Algonquin. We send wishes to you for a great year and hope your family has a joyful holiday season. Thank you for all you do.

There’s a coupon on the Juicy Juice website for $1.00 off any 3 juicy juice products. Sorry, I don’t know how to “link”. They e-mailed it to me yesterday.

Happy Holidays Jill in advance. I truly appreciate what you are doing for everybody. I’ve been couponing for almost 4 months now and I find your website so helpful. I used to cut all the coupons from SS, RP and PG but eversince I’ve known your website I stopped doing it. Instead I would wait for your post every Sunday. Last weekend I came across a lady at Target and was also doing the Glade deal, I introduced your website to her. I’m a dad of 2 boys and couponing is giving us a great savings.

I took your advice on the Old Orchard Cranberry Naturals, and my wife and I each “liked” them on Facebook, etc. so we had 2 $2 off coupons and 2 BOGO coupons (planning to do 2 separate transactions). I went to the Jewel on Madison in Oak Park, and got denied! When I went to check out with the first 2 juices, I handed the cashier the $2 off coupon, which she scanned successfully, and then handed her the BOGO coupon.
She looked at the coupon and said “you can’t do that!” I told her that in fact you could, and had seen it on your website. I asked her just to please try scanning it, and that it would work. She refused. She then got the assistant manager, and then the manager, and they both refused as well. “We don’t even have to accept internet coupons, sir,” they said. In the end, they refused to let me also use the BOGO coupon. They claimed I needed to buy another juice to use the BOGO coupon. I told them that in fact the first juice had been “paid for” by the $2 off coupon, which should allow me to use the BOGO coupon. “I’ve never heard of that. You have to pay for one of the juices,” said the other manager.
Meanwhile, the line was being held up, and it was quite embarrassing, as I tried to stand my ground, and the other customers behind me got held up, and ended up moving to a different line. I knew I should be in the right, but they claimed I couldn’t use both coupons. I left with one free juice, but not the 2 free juices I had hoped for. I was so frustrated by their obstinate attitude and bad customer service that I felt like never using a coupon again!
Can anyone offer me some help or guidance the next time something like this happens???
wireman1979 says
to have TOO much butter? Between the sale at Jewel and the one at Meijer I have 10 pounds of butter! Nine of them are in the freezer of course. I remember last year the super sale at Meijer where Land O’Lakes was $1.75 a pound. I bought less butter then but it did last me almost the entire year!
By the way, Jill, December 18th is the very best day to be born! I know because it is my birthday too! Congrats to the birthday boy.
