Hello, Super-Couponers! Hope everyone had a great (and inexpensive!) Thanksgiving… I enjoyed reading everyone’s Black Friday shopping reports too!
Officially, we have entered Christmas shopping season, and if you’re looking for gift ideas for that hard-to-buy-for person, might I suggest a Super-Couponing DVD! Give your loved one the gift of cheap groceries… all year long :)
Now, the week after a holiday is typically light on grocery deals (store traffic drops off dramatically in the days post-holiday) but we still have some good deals around town this week. Let’s get started…
If you’re new to the site, take a quick minute to read Using this site and bring yourself up to speed on all the coupon lingo and abbreviations. It’s a good idea to save the grocery and drugstore flyers from both Wednesday and Sunday each week to have on hand & refer to too as you go through the deals! And, if you’re new to couponing in general, check out my Super-Couponing® website for a list of coupon classes (most are FREE!) and easy instructions on how to start using coupons effectively!
AND… my Super-Couponing® class is now available on DVD! Own the 72-minute class and watch it whenever you like! Click for a video preview & learn how to order!

Grocery Deals
Starting at Jewel, let’s take home some FREE Reach dental floss this week! It’s on sale for $1, and with the $1 coupons from 8/2 SS, 10/4 RP, 10/18 RP, it’s FREE! Now, there are also some good Reach coupons out that could net you some overage here too… with the $3 off 2 coupon from 8/2 SS and the store could be paying you $1 to take the Reach home!
Forum reader BlueDemon20 spotted this great deal on Revlon makeup:
Check your Avenu for Revlon cosmetics–mine had 2.25 off (limit 2). Revlon make-up is now 50% off at Jewel making the eyeliner I bought more than free when I used the 2.00 coupon from 11/15 S and the 2.25 off from Avenu. Even if it’s not on your Avenu, you can score some cheap make-up with the 2.00 coupon from the insert.
Thanks for the tip!
Here’s a good deal on Wonderful Pistachios. 10 ounce bags are on sale for $4.99, buy one get one free. The 11/15 SS insert has a $1 coupon … and if you’re a multiple-insert person and happen to have two of these coupons, you can use one coupon on each bag. You’ll pay $2.99 for both, or about $1.50 each – a steal for pistachios!
I got excited when I saw that Jewel has Betty Crocker fruit snacks on sale for .89/box when purchased in quantities of 4… and then realized that while fruit snack coupons seem to abound most of the time, there aren’t any current! If you have unexpired printables (there were many in the past few weeks…) go for it..!
Procter & Gamble Catalina deal: Jewel is currently running a $20/$5 promotion on selected P&G products. Spend $20 and get a $5 Catalina for your next trip. Here are your included products and matchups. If you’re a spreadsheet person who likes to see every single UPC, flavor and item, you can also find that here… Always products $5.49 Aussie hair products $3.69 Bounce dryer bar $3.99 Bounce sheets $5.49 Bounty paper towels $10.99 Cascade dishwasher detergent $4.39 Charmin 18 big roll $10.99 Cover Girl 33% off Crest toothpaste $2.50 Dawn detergent $2.50 Downy liquid $5.49 Febreze $5.47 Febreze candles $13.99 Febreze reed diffuser $9.99 Herbal Essences $3.69 Iams cat food $7.99 Iams dog food, $17.99 Mr. Clean cleaners $2.99 Olay 20% off Old Spice Red Zone deodorants $3.69 Oral B toothbrushes $2.50 Pampers diapers or easy ups $18.99 Pringles super stack $1.50 Prilosec OTC 42pack – $24.99 Puffs tissue $1.50 Swiffer duster kits $7.99 Tampax products $5.49 Tide 100-oz detergent $10.99 Tide To Go $2.99 Tide Stain Release $10.99 |
Over at Dominick’s, their flyer’s kind of light this week. I like the Fresh Express salads for $1 – if you have any of the expired tearpad coupons for 2lbs. free bananas when you buy 2 Fresh Express salads, you can take home a lot of produce for just two dollars…
Dominick’s also has Rancher’s Reserve 7-bone roasts on sale for $1.49lb. Cheap!
At Meijer, Welch’s juices are cheap after coupon! They’re on sale for $1.99 a 64-ounce bottle… and with the .75 coupon from 9/13 SS, the price drops to just $1.24!
If you (ha ha ha!) need MORE refrigerated cookie dough, it’s cheap at Meijer this week… packages of Nestle refrigerated cookie dough are on sale for $2 each. Stack a $1 manufacturer coupon from 11/1 RP and 10/11 SS, and stack it with the $1 store coupon from Meijer Mealbox and pay $1 for 2 packages, or .50 each!
Listerine (500ml) is a pretty good price this week. Listerine is on sale for $3 a bottle – with the $1 coupon from 3/15 SS, it’s just $2…
For my Rockford-area readers, Hilander has some good deals this week too. This week’s ad has boneless pork loin for $1.79/lb…
Oscar Mayer bacon is $2.99 a package. With the .75 coupon from 11/15 SS, pay just $2.24!
Here’s a fun tidbit about Target… if you take reusable bags with for your shopping trip, you’ll get a .05 savings on your total for every bag you bring and use! We like free money :)
If you’ve ever printed coupons from Target’s site before, you know that since their inception, they’ve been unlimited printables — you could print as many as you wanted or needed. Unfortunately this has now changed — you can only print two Target coupons per computer now. A bummer as many of their deals in the past were great stock-up opportunities…
… however, the Organic Grocery Deals Target Coupon Generator still has a functional archive of the current unexpired Target coupons in the old “unlimited print” format. Each week, Target changes the coupons on their site, but the expiration dates on their store coupons are often quite long. Once these coupons disappear from Target.com, they are still valid… but they aren’t linked from Target’s site anymore. This coupon generator links to those “hidden” coupons.
So, if you like any of these, print and use them soon, as they’re likely the last unlimited printables we’ll see for a long time from Target.
Every November we see good and crazy deals on Glade products, and this November is already no exception. Target’s got a promo running on Holiday Glade products through 12/15. Buy any 5 Holiday Glade products and get a $5 Target gift card.
The 11/1 SS has MANY more Glade coupons for you to work into this deal too, including B1G1Fs for candles, scented oil warmers, and more… look for “Buy Glade candle, get refills free” Blinkie coupons in major grocery stores, then pick up a few to use with this deal. And, many of the candle tins have $1.50 coupons inside too. (DON’T open the tins before you buy them… buy first, then use the other coupons to do another round…)
There’s also a $5 rebate you can work in this too for buying any 3 Glade products!
Let’s talk Kmart! I’ve been getting email from people wondering when their super double coupons are coming back. I’ve even heard some stores are running doubles every day through mid-December.
So here’s the scoop. Some Kmart locations are indeed running double coupon promotions through December 19th. The bad news for my Chicagoland audience..? This is currently a Michigan-only promotion.
But if you happen to be reading from Michigan… here’s the deal. You can double up to 5 coupons per day, up to and including $2 coupons. You also need to sign up for the free Shop Your Way card at Kmart. The cashier will need to scan your card at the beginning of the transaction to enable the doubling.
So there you go… I’ll keep you posted if I learn of any more Kmart doubles promotions!
Drugstore Deals
Heading to Walgreens M&Ms are a decent deal this week – they’re on sale for $2.50 a bag. Use the $1 off 2 Walgreens in-store coupon to bring the price down to $2 a bag. Use this $1 off 2 coupon, and this one and take them home for $1.50 each. Or, if you want LOTS of M&Ms, skip to CVS this week, where you may do even better…
Trident Layers and Mentos gum are $1 each with the coupon from the Walgreens store flyer this week. Use the following coupons to take it home for .50 and .45 a pack…
Trident Layers:
– $1 off 2
– $1 off 2 – December All You
– Buy one, get one free – 10/18 SS
Mentos Gum:
– .55 off – 8/16 SS, 9/13 SS, 10/11 SS
Lysol toilet bowl cleaner is $2.79, buy one, get one free. Use the .40 coupon from 11/8 SS and pay $2.39 for two… or with a second coupon, pay $1.99 for 2 – $1 each!
And oh, Ecotrin! It’s $1.99 with the coupon in this week’s Wags ad. The 10/11 RP has numerous coupons for Ecotrin that will potentially give you overage – have fun, but know that many people are having trouble with this deal too because of how the registers handle overage (you MUST have extra items to “eat up” that overage.)
And finally, over at CVS, M&Ms are on sale here too (I have had some requests for M&M deals… perhaps from parents whose children love them as much as mine do!) Anyway, they’re $2.50 a bag, and they’re also part of the $20/$5 ECB (spend $20, get $5.) If you have any ECBs left over from Black Friday, this would be a good deal to roll them into (many other Christmas-themed candies are included too.
Here’s a possible scenario:
Print 2 $1 off 2 coupons here and here. Buy 8 bags of M&Ms ($20.) Post-coupons, you’re at $16. If you bought the free headphones and free remote control on Black Friday, you have a $6.99 and a $3.99 ECB. Roll these in – pay $5.02 and get $5 back. Cheap M&Ms!
FREE coupons that are still current:
11/15 SS – FREE roll of Marcal toilet paper, paper towels, or facial tissue (exp. 12/25/09)
8/2 SS – FREE jar Beech-Nut Stage 3 Fruit baby food (exp. 12/31/09) [regional insert for NON-Tribune newspapers – a rarity]
9/13 SS – FREE Freshpet Select Homestyle refrigerated pet meal (exp. 12/31/09) [regional insert for NON-Tribune newspapers – another rarity]
As always, these deals are guidelines for shopping. I can make no guarantee that these items will be on sale, in stock, or available at your area store. I can also not guarantee your Catalinas will print, your cashier will smile at you while you check out, or that your shopping cart won’t have a broken wheel. But I CAN teach you how to save money :)
* (All You magazine is not a requirement for using the site, but if you like coupons, you will probably really enjoy it. It’s a cheap ($2.49 an issue) magazine that is absolutely filled with coupons each month — typically 20-30 of them. Many websites are now tracking the All You coupons and matching them to deals, just as they do with the newspaper coupon inserts. You can subscribe to All You online and save about $10/year off the cover price. And depending on the values, if you use 2 or 3 coupons alone from each issue, you’ve recouped the cost of the magazine, and you’re on your way to even bigger savings.)

I found $0.55 coupons for Fresh Express Blends or Complete Kits at Ultra Foods yesterday, it was on a display next to all the salads. So if you have the free banana coupon that is expired, $0.90 for bananas and 2 bags of salad at Dominicks.

Hi, just wondering what happened to the pork chops. I went to Jewel this morning to stock up at the 88 cent/lb price and I didn’t see any. I even asked. They said they didn’t have that sale and just pointed me to some that were 88 cent a piece. Did I already miss the sale? Do they go that fast?

Went to Jewel today, because with the holiday over the weekend my first chance to go through the fliers was last night, and lost 3 $1.00 Q’s. They expired yesterday and they would not take them. I could tell the cashier was annoyed with me and wasn’t going to give me a break, because she had quite the attitude when she saw I had two separate orders for 6 items.
Here are my two orders:
Tide
Tampax
Mr Clean Magic Erasers
had Cat for $2 off Female Hygiene product and $1.00 Tide from Preferred Card Update book.
oop-$17.69 and got $5 cat and 5 Red box codes
I had another $1 Q for Tide but exp. 11/30
Iams Cat Food- 2
Mr. Clean Magic Erasers
Had 2 $1 Q’s for Cat Food but exp 11/30
oop- 20.30 and got $5 Cat and 5 Red Box Codes
With these two orders I met my $200 so now I have a 5% coupon off my next purchase which two of the stores in my area have running right now.

I had to google ecotrin. It is aspirin that is coated. OK. I scored 3 little 45 count packs at $1.99 each with the Wal. ad. The 10/11 RP had a buy 3 and get $10 off. I had a $4 overage – which is good, because I bought lots of other things there: Christmas lights 2 for $9.99, M&Ms, little sticker books, and pencils. I just can’t help myself.

Decent little Glade deal at Wags. The small Fragrance collection candles are 2/$5 and you get a $1RR. 1 week (or two or three ago) there were $2 off any fragrance collection product in the Parade mag that would make these free after RR
