February is here! Whether we’ll have 6 more weeks of winter, or Spring is imminent, one thing is for sure… big savings this week! Welcome to our new Super-Couponers from Johnsburg and Marengo, and of course the many listeners from Johnny B’s show as well…
If you’re new to the site, take a quick minute to read Using this site and bring yourself up to speed on all the coupon lingo and abbreviations. Unless otherwise noted, grocery store deals run through Wednesday of this week, and the pharmacy deals run through Saturday.
Starting at Jewel, they’re having a GREAT 10-for $10 sale, which means everything in the current ad is just $1! Pairing coupons with these items makes them even cheaper…
Softsoap: February All You has a $1 coupon, making this FREE! 2/1 SS has .35 off, making this .65 a bottle
Dole canned Mandarin oranges: 2/1 SS is .55 off 2, making these just $1.45 for 2, or about .73 each
Hormel Chili: 1/18 SS is .55 off 2, making these just $1.45 for 2, or about .73 each
Manwich: 1/18 SS is .50 off 2, making these $1.50 for 2, or .75 each
Pringles: 1/25 RP is .30 off 3. Many people are getting this on their Avenu for .40 off 3 too, so if you’re one of them, you’ll get .70 off, or .76 a can!
Swiss Miss: December All You has .50 off, making this .50 a box
Knorr side dishes: 1/18 RP has .60 off 2, making these .70 each
Hunt’s canned tomatoes: 1/18 SS has .40 off 2, making these .80 each
Crunch & Munch: 1/18 SS has .35 off, making this .65 a box
Continuing at Jewel, there’s a super deal going on Culinary Circle gourmet rising-crust pizzas. They’re on sale for $3.99 each, and when you buy one, you’ll get a free 2-liter of Dr. Pepper! Make this deal even sweeter with a coupon for $1 off the pizza – and you’ll have a great cheap meal and beverage for just $2.99! (I must say too, these pizzas are DELICIOUS. They rival a DiGiorno in taste and quality — they’re not “cheapie cardboard pizzas” :) Remember, you can print this coupon twice, so why not take two pizzas and Dr. Peppers home instead of one!
While we’re on the topic of pizza, Totino’s Pizza Rolls are on sale for $1 too! If you didn’t pick these up pre-Super-Bowl, Print
two $1-off-2 coupons and take four home for .50 each! Note: This printable was previously a $1 off 1 Pizza Rolls coupon. If you printed them over the past few weeks and missed buying the pizza rolls the last time they were $1, bring them this week, because they’ll be FREE.
There are also .35 Pizza Roll coupons in 1/11, 1/18. and 1/25 SS, which will make these just .65 a box if you’d like more…
Still at Jewel, pre-cooked Johnsonville Brats are on sale for $3 a pack. Use $5 off 3 coupon and take home 3 packages for $4, or $1.33 each!
To go with those brats, Wild Harvest organic mustard is on sale for $1.50. Use a $1 off Wild Harvest coupon and take this home for just .50! Note that only locations with a “Wild Harvest” section may carry the mustard — “regular” Jewels don’t carry the full line of Wild Harvest. If your store doesn’t have it, look at many of the other Wild Harvest items also on sale (tortilla chips and cookies will be cheap too!)
Still at Jewel, Fuze single-serving beverages are a great deal! They’re on sale for $1, Buy One, Get One Free, and the 1/4 SS has a .25 coupon. With the coupon, you’ll pay just 37.5 cents each! If you have more of this coupon, using two during this sale (a great trick for B1G1F sales!) will net you two Fuze for a quarter each…
Lastly at Jewel, Suave Naturals shampoo and conditioners are on sale for .88 cents each. 11/16 RP and 1/11 RP both have coupons for $1 off 2, which will bring two bottles down to .76, or just .38 each!
Over at Meijer, 15oz. cans of Dinty Moore Beef Stew are on sale for 99 cents. Use the .55 coupon from 1/25 SS and pick this up for .44 a can! That will warm you up on a cold winter day… at a great price!
Still at Meijer, 4-packs of Bic Comfort razors are on sale for $3. Use the $2 coupon from 1/18 SS and take 4 razors home for a buck!
Over at Target, you can take home a “little” Tylenol very cheaply… Target has Trial size Tylenol for .97 in the travel section. Print this coupon for $1 off ANY Tylenol and get it for FREE! Note that the coupon may beep the register. It will be up to the cashier whether you get the .03 overage or not (Target reserves the right to “adjust down” your coupons. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t! Review their coupon policy for more info…)
Back again this week… how about some FREE juice at Target? Ocean Spray cranberry juice drinks are priced at $1.99 a bottle at most stores. Pair Print this $1 Ocean Spray manufacturer coupon with a $1 Target store coupon and pick it up for FREE! The 1/11 RP also has a $1 coupon in it that can be stacked with a Target coupon too for MORE free juice… and the 12/7 RP has a .55 coupon for it too, so you can get another bottle cheap as well. (Note that the Target store coupon specifies “one per transaction,” so you may need to break these into separate purchases if you’re buying more than one.)
Now, if you’ve been with the site for a while, you know Target changes their web coupons each Sunday. But the coupons from previous weeks are still out there – they’re just not linked from Target.com anymore. So what’s a shopper to do? Enter the Target Coupon Generator, which links to those “hidden” coupons and allows you to print them. This is the one exception to the “print those Target coupons in the store!” rule. :) When they’re off the site, this is the only other way to get them! So you can head over there and still print this wonderful Ocean Spray coupon.
To end the deals for the week, and start your Tuesday off right, how about a free breakfast? Did you catch the Super Bowl ad on Sunday? Today from 6am – 2pm, Denny’s is offering a FREE Grand Slam breakfast! Yep, it’s totally free. The bonus? While supplies last, you’ll also get a coupon book with four Buy One, Get One Free coupons for future meals in it, two 25% off meal coupons, 1 coupon for a free dessert , and 1 coupon good for a free order of mini pancakes. Each Denny’s location received 1000 of these booklets!
An astute blog reader also forwarded this to me… “Per Denny’s Corporate, every store also received 500 Grand Slam rain check coupons. Denny’s has instructed each manger to hand these rain checks out good for a free Grand Slam to any guest who can’t wait.” So if you don’t have time to eat today, stop in and get a raincheck for a free meal later!
Clearance alert! Kmart’s new flier is boasting 50% off clearance personal care products. If you go to check out this sale (varies by store) take your coupons for these items with, and let me know what kind of deals you get! Coupons for clearance are one of the best ways to get things CHEAP!
The ad says selected shampoos, conditioners, stylers, lotions and cleansers from L’Oreal, Biore, Jergens and John Frieda.
Use coupons:
L’Oreal: 11/16 SS, 1/4 RP (LOTS of coupons), 1/11 RP, and 2/1 RP (also LOTS)
Jergens: December All You, 1/11 SS, and SmartSource
Web Freebies
Free can each of Red Bull and Roaring Lion energy drinks
Finally, I’ve long been aware that people outside Chicagoland are reading and following the blog… but over the past two weeks I’ve had people attending my coupon classes from as far away as Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin — not to mention all the out-of-staters that are following me via my syndicated newspaper column, “The Coupon Queen!” For those of you that have a Kroger or Kroger-affiliated chain in the area (in the Rockford, IL area, Hilander is a Kroger-chain store) there are a couple of great deals for YOU this week too! Read on…
Hilander/Kroger has MultiGrain Cheerios and Honey-Nut Cheerios on sale for $1.67 a box. Print a .55 off Honey Nut Cheerios coupon from here . Then, load a .50 coupon to your Kroger card here. Now, all Kroger stores double coupons… some double up to .50, and some double up to $1. Here in Illinois, Hilander doubles up to .55. So, your .55 coupon doubles to $1.10, and stacked with your electronic coupon, you’ll have $1.60 in savings… on a $1.67 box of cereal. Enjoy your Honey-Nut Cheerios for just SEVEN cents a box!
Let’s not forget those MultiGrain Cheerios too! Print a .75 coupon and load a .75 coupon to your Kroger card here. Now, our Hilander stores won’t double the .75 coupon, but stacking it with the electronic .75 coupon gives you $1.50 in value… and another box of Cheerios for a whopping 17 cents :) If your Kroger store doubles up to $1, you’ll get $1.50 value for the print coupon, plus another .75 for the electronic, and you’ll have $2.25 savings on a $1.67 box of cereal. They’ll be paying YOU to take it home! :)
Super-Couponing can be done ANYWHERE, in any part of the country. It’s just a matter of looking at the available discounts and coupons your local stores offer :)
Do you like these deals? Want to learn how to get deals like this on almost EVERYTHING that you buy? Attend one of my Super-Couponing™ classes and learn all the tricks of the trade. You’ll be slashing your bills in no time!

Jill,
Thanks to you and your wonderful classes, and this terrific blog, I am heading into week 3 of not having to shop. My freezer and pantries can’t get any fuller than they are. I even had to take pizza’s out of the box and stick them under the drawers! All I need to pick up is salad fixin’s and fresh fruit. What a money saver this site has been for our family. Our water heater decided to give it up last night and thanks to all the savings, we have the cash to invest in a new one today. Wouldn’t have been possible without all the knowledge you have shared. So for everyone that is relatively new to this site, just hang in there – your day will come too! And if you haven’t take a class yet, our family is proof positive it really works. It’s taken 17 weeks, but we’re finally where we shopped so hard to be – stocked shelves and some spare cash. Lots of food to the pantry this year too – much much more than in previous years. Hooray!

Am I the only one who can’t get the Culinary coupon? I keep getting “You may need to download a plug-in to print this coupon.” and then they say that it’s from one of their trusted partners. But nothing happens.

Does anyone know what the advertising code is for the energy drink?

Hi Jill! The All You Softsoap coupon says “On any Softsoap Ensembles Liquid Hand Soap Pump”. Looks like a fancy bottle, will this coupon work on a 10/10 softsoap? Also, I went through the ads and made my list, it’s nothing that I really need right now, there just things that I may use later and because I have a coupon and it seems to be a good deal, should I buy these items? For example, the Vicks 44 $5.00 jewel coupon off 3 and I have 3 $1.00 coupon making this $7.00 for 3 bottles. My husband uses this but I’m not out of medicine right now. I read in another post that medicine will be clearenced out soon. Should I wait?

Jill – I was at Jewel last night and Fuze was on sale 10/$10 but it was not B1G1 – is that perhaps only at select Jewels? I was at the one in McHenry.

I was just at Jewel this a.m. and was able to score many of the deals you listed….Thank you!! I did look for the Johnsonville Brats that were $3.00, but only found the packages for $5.29 (Beer & Regular Flavored). The rep at the meat counter wasn’t aware of the brats for $3.00. Maybe this was another item that only selected stores had.

The price of Cheerios is enough for me to make the drive to Rockford. However, I just found out that you can also get Cottonelle TP for FREE also. 4-pack is on sale for .99 cents and with the 50 cents coupon from coupons.com and double it and you have it for FREE. I think its time for a field trip with the kids! :)

They’re on sale for $1 this week. When I signed up for their website (about a month ago?) , I got an IP for .75 off 50% less sodium. Some less sodium are also $1. Check your IPs or the website-get some veggies for .25!

I went to Target last night and none of the Ocean Spray juice was on sale for $1.99.
No 100% juice for the 100th day of school today! Sorry kids – I was only bringing it if it was free!
Bummer!
Anyone else have this problem? I went to the Willowbrook Target.

Went to the McHenry Meijer yesterday to get the razor deal and they have Bic Silky Touch 10pk on clearance for $2.79 – the $2 coupon from 1/18SS does apply to Silky Touch so got 10 razors for 79 cents. They are on the bottom shelf in the razor section.

I signed up my Jewel preferred card number online at Avenu. I went to Jewel the next day and bought 3 Pringles cans for $1 each. Then I used the coupon 1/25 SS. Then I was expecting Avenu to take an additional .40 off too but it didn’t. What should be my next step? I want to get these deals but not sure what I did wrong. How do I know that my preferred card is indeed registered and working?

CHEAP FRUIT SNACKS!! Dominick’s (I know I said the D word!) has Kelloggs fruit snacks and Yogos on sale for $1.00 per box. There is a $1.00 off 2 in RP 2/1 making this a deal for .50 per box. I believe the sale goes through February 11. I’m sorry if this is a duplicate post… I looked and didn’t see anything!

I tried to use the Johnsonville Sausage coupon today at the Jewel in McHenry and they said they do not take printed coupons for $5 or more or for free products. They also said if the scanner doesn’t take it off they wont type it in. Should I try a different Jewel?
lconrad723 says
I just saw that Jewel has these on their avenu specials. I already print the 2 MF coupons available from the Southbeach website from the deal a couple of weeks ago. Does anyone know of another MF coupon out there?

Jill – I was a Jewel yesterday and I couldn’t find a sign anywhere saying Dr. Pepper was free with the pizza purchase. What am I missing? Where did you see the deal? Thanks!

Went to Jewel last night and the 3 pack of Blistex were 10 for $10 with the 35 cent coupon in 2/8 SS or 1/18 SS. They were 65 cent a pack or 22 cent a tube.
