This one’s been running for a while, but my local store just got the cards in for it! If you shop at Jewel-Osco with children, stop by the customer service counter for a Jewel-Osco Healthy Eaters Kids Club membership card for your child. The card is free, and any time your child shops with you, he or she can get a FREE small Red Delicious apple or a free banana by scanning the card at checkout. The card is reusable and valid through 8/15/12. (Your child must be present and shopping with you to use the card.) My little guy was thrilled that has a “free coupon card” and enjoyed getting his free banana this week!

Half-gallon cartons of Smart Balance Milk are on sale for $3. Use the $1.50 coupon from 1/8 SS and pay $1.50! There’s also a .75 printable for more milk at $2.25…

Buddig Wafer Lunchmeats (2oz.) are on sale for .60 each. Buy four and use the .75-off-4 coupon from 12/11/11 SS. You’ll pay $1.65 for four, or about .41 each!

Ken’s Salad Dressing (16oz.) is on sale for $1.67. Use the $1 coupon from 1/8 SS2 and pay .67!

Land O’ Lakes Spreadable Butter (7-8oz.) is on sale for $1.50. Use the $1 coupon from 1/15 SS or 12/11/11 SS and pay .50! (The Cinnamon Sugar Butter is included too… oh YES! I love this.)

Butterball Turkey Bacon (12oz.) is on sale for $2. Use the .55 coupon from 1/15 SS and pay $1.45!

Grande Tortilla Chips (10oz.) are on sale for $2.50. Use the $1 coupon from 1/15 SS and pay $1.50! (Get ready for the Super Bowl…)

Palermo’s Primo Thin Crust Pizzas (14.55-19.1oz.) are on sale for $5. Buy two and use this $1-off-2 printable. You’ll pay $9 for two, or $4.50 each.

Beneful Dog Food (15.5lbs.) is on sale for $15.99. Use the $2 store coupon in the weekly Jewel ad and pay $13.99.

Purina Busy Bone dog treats (6.4-7oz.) are on sale for $4.39, Buy One Get One Free. Use the $2-off-2 from 1/8 SS2 and pay $2.39 for two, or about $1.20 each.

There are a lot of “Buy 2 Get 1 Free” sales in the weekly ad too. Best bets?

– Barilla Pasta (12-16oz., including whole grain) – $3 for three, or $1 each. Buy three and use three .55 coupons from the 1/8 SS2. You’ll pay $1.35 for three, or .45 per box!

– Brooks Chili Beans (15.5oz.) – $2.37 for three, or .79 each. Buy three and use the .55-off-2 coupon from 10/16/11 SS. You’ll pay $1.82 for three cans, or about .61 each!

– Campbell’s Chicken Noodle or Tomato Soups (10.75oz.) – $1.59 for three, or .53 each. There are .40-off-4 coupons in the 1/8 SS1 and 12/4/11 SS. Because you have to buy 4 to use the coupon, it doesn’t make a lot of sense to buy just four, when buying 5 will generate a 6th free can. Financially, the best way to do the deal is to buy 12 cans. Use three .40-off-4 coupons and pay $5.16 for 12, or .43 each.

– Essential Everyday Toaster Pastries (6ct.) – $3 for three, or $1 each. Check your coupons from the Jewel “Wish Big” game as there are .25 coupons out for these. With three .25 coupons, pay $2.25 for three, or .75 each!

– Jewel Canned Vegetables (14-15.25oz.) – $1.49 for three, or .53 each. Check your coupons from the Jewel “Wish Big” game as there are .25 coupons out for these. With three .25 coupons, pay .74 for three, or about .25 each!

– Red Gold Tomatoes (28oz.) – $2.79 for three, or .93 each. Buy three and load the .75-off-2 ecoupon from SavingStar. After ecoupon, you’re at $2.04 for three, or .68 each!

– Super Chill (2 liters) – $1.77 for three, or .59 each. Check your coupons from the Jewel “Wish Big” game as there are .25 coupons out for the Super Chill Seltzer or Ginger Ale. With three .25 coupons, pay $1.02 for three bottles, or .34 each!

Reader Hollylynn writes that Mentos Up2U gum is on sale for $1.25. Use the $1 coupon from 1/1 SS2 and pay .25!

“Spend $30, Get $10” Catalina Sale Buying $30 or more of the following items will generate a $10 Catalina! Only one Catalina will be generated per transaction. While the ad states that the $30 is calculated after manufacturer coupons are redeemed, the deals rarely work that way in the store and instead work on a pre-coupon total of $30. If you choose to use a pre-coupon total of $30, and your Catalina does not print, you are assuming this risk and any consequences. Jewel is running an “A Taste Of Home” mail-in promotion on P&G products. Buy $25 worth of P&G products in one transaction and receive a 2-piece cookware set and one cookbook of your choice via mail (view ad here.)

The cookware is a 12-quart tamale steamer, a 5-cup rice cooker, and one of the following cookbooks: “Fresh Mexico,” “Latin Grilling,” or “Cocina Cubana.” $25 worth of goods must be purchased in the same transaction, and you must submit a receipt from the same store you found the forms in (must be from Jewel – cannot use a Dominick’s receipt, etc.)

Here’s another Meijer deal courtesy of Olivia. Kikkoman marinades and soy sauces (16oz.) are on sale for $1.56 each. Are you a Meijer Mperks member? Mperks is a different set of electronic Meijer coupons. The Rockford-area Logli stores share the same ad as Hilander (Schnucks) now, so these deals apply at the four Rockford-area Logli stores as well. I have had some readers from DeKalb write and ask if these deals will also apply to their store. In looking at both ads, SOME of the deals are the same, but Rockford at times has a Hilander-specific wraparound that isn’t a part of the DeKalb Schnucks ad. Remember too that the DeKalb store does not double coupons.

There’s not a whole lot new or crazy in this week’s Target ad, but it may be worth stopping in for the toy clearance! Most stores went 50-70% off overstock Christmas toys last week, and I was able to pick up lots of things for my little guys for next year. I was most excited about the Moon Dough Magic Zoo for my youngest, who loves Moon Dough (it’s usually over $20 – paid about $5) and the Hot Wheels Micro Camera Racer. It is a Hot Wheels car with a videocamera built in, and your child can record movies of it going on its track (or through your house!) then play them back on the computer, or on the included screen. It is truly cool, but so not worth the $60 it was before Christmastime. I paid $17 and change, and I was happy.

Here’s a deal on the Brita Water Filtration Pitcher! It’s on sale for $16.99. Use the $2 store coupon in the January Walgreens book (on racks near the door of the store) to drop it to $14.99. Then, use the $4 coupon from the 12/4/11 SS. You’ll pay $10.99.

Now, if you’re a rebate person, send in for the $10 rebate offer on Brita’s site. Your pitcher is .99!

Speed Stick Deodorant (2.3-3.25oz.) is on sale 2-for-$5. Buy two and get $2 back in Register Rewards! Use the $1-off-2 coupon from 1/15 SS. Pay $4 for two and get $2 back in RRs – that’s $2 for two, or $1 each.

There’s a “Spend $20, Get $6 in RRs” deal running on various cold and cleaning products this week. I think your best bets here are with the Lysol items. Two-packs of one disinfectant spray and one 35ct. Lysol wipes are $4, and two-packs of two 35ct. Lysol wipes are $3.

The 1/1 SS2 has coupons for both $1 off disinfectant and $1-off-2 wipes. (You will not be able to count BOTH packs of wipes as two separate units and use a $1-off-2 coupon on it though.) You’re better off buying the disinfectant “with free wipes” attached and using that $1 coupon.

Buy 5 disinfectant “with free wipes” ($20.) Use five $1 disinfectant coupons.

Pay $15 and get $6 back. That’s $9 for 10 Lysols – 5 sprays and 5 cans of wipes, which works out to .90 each.

If you don’t have that many Lysol coupons, you could do a mix of Lysol and Viva. Buy two packages of 6ct. Viva paper towels ($12) and two Lysol disinfectant “with free wipes” packs (now $20.) Use two $1 disinfectant coupons and two $1 Viva coupons from the 1/15 SS. Pay $16 and get $6 back in RRs. That’s $10 for 12 rolls of paper towels and 4 Lysols – not too shabby.

Wrapping things up with Walmart…

Did you see the nice new $5 Purina One Beyond dog food coupon in the 1/15 SS? 3.5lb. bags sell for about $6.49 at Walmart (that’s what they were priced at in my area, anyway.) Use the coupon and pay $1.49!

If your $3-off-3 Nabisco coupons from the 1/8 SS2 are burning a hole in your pocket, check out the tiny, cute boxes of Wheat Thins and Ritz that I spotted at Walmart! Buy 3 and they’re FREE with coupon! One of my readers suggested buying the single-serve cups of Teddy Grahams with these coupons too, which are also a buck. My store didn’t carry those, but they had these.

Policies to know:

• Walmart will price match any competitor’s advertised price. Bring the other store’s flyers with you to the store.
   
• With the new coupon policy, Walmart will also accept other store’s STORE coupons with an actual price listed on them. For example, a Dominick’s store coupon advertising “.99 Ragu Pasta Sauce” would be accepted. A Walgreens store coupon advertising “2/$1 Morton’s Salt” would be accepted. (A Target store coupon for “$2.50 off Huggies” would not, because it does not show the actual selling price of the item.)
   
• With the new coupon policy, Walmart will also accept competitor’s Catalina manufacturer coupons. You can get a Catalina for $1 off Snuggle and use it at Walmart.
   
• Walmart’s new coupon policy specifically addresses coupon overage. It says “Coupons may exceed the price of the item. Change may be given or applied toward the cost of the basket purchase.”
   

I would print a copy and carry a copy of the coupon policy with you if you anticipate any issues.

I do not blog Walmart deals each week unless there is a weekly ad with noteworthy deals. Every store location’s regular prices are different, and Walmart does not issue a weekly ad every week. I’ve listed Walmart at the end of each week’s Deals writeup, because if you see any deals above that you want, you’ll likely also be able to do them at Walmart.
