Note that if you have been collecting pots and pans stickers for Jewel-Osco, you can redeem them through January 26th.
Here’s a deal on Natural Instincts haircolor that may have you taking it home for as low as .49 a box! Natural Instincts has a “Buy 2, get $3” Catalina running through 1/23. Several colors and varieties of Natural Instincts are on clearance for $4.49 each.
I had a $5-off-2 Catalina for Natural Instincts (they’ve been printing recently, not only at Jewel but other stores as well) and the current P&G insert also has $2 coupons in it. With two $2 coupons, pay $4.98 and get a $3 Catalina – $1.98 for 2 is .99 a box.
If you have a $5-off-2 Catalina as I did, pay $3.98 and get a $3 Catalina — .98 for two is .49 a box… super cheap!

Still holding those nice $2.25 Electrasol/Finish coupons from the 1/2 SS2 insert? Reader Pndm96 writes that Electrasol/Finish is on sale for $2.99 at Jewel. No, it’s not free… but Jewel is much more likely to have it in stock, unlike the drugstores, which have been out for the past two weeks.
Jewel-Osco information:
Jewel-Osco has a Facebook page. If you have questions directly for corporate, you can ask them there (and they answer promptly!)
Are you on the Jewel-Osco email list yet? Jewel has been making coupons available for many different products over the past few months, and they’re usually store coupons that you can stack manufacturer coupons with too. I’d recommend getting on their list if you shop there.

(Anytime meat is under $1.99 a pound (no matter what it is — beef, pork, poultry) it’s a buy in my book, because $1.99 is a cycle low and a good benchmark for meat prices — ditto for most produce. Seafood, by its nature, is more expensive per pound, but a good “buy” benchmark is $4 per pound or less for fish or shrimp.)
Let’s go to Dominick’s (View weekly ad)…
Note to my Safeway shoppers reading from outside Chicagoland: In Chicago, Dominick’s currently accepts expired coupons up to one year past the expiration date, so my coupon matchups for Dominick’s deals will include expired coupons. If an expired coupon matchup is provided, it will be noted with (exp) after the date. Also, in Chicago, Dominick’s does not double coupons (as other Safeway stores do) – if your store doubles, you’ll do even better with many of these deals. Also, in Chicago, previously-available ecoupons are being rolled into the “Just For U” section of electronic coupons available at Dominicks.com.
Dominick’s Super Coupons:
These are store coupons found in the weekly Dominick’s flyer, which (in the case of the name-brand products) means they can be stacked with manufacturer coupons for even bigger savings. You can also now load these Super Coupons to your Fresh Values card via Dominicks.com and not have to clip them. Best bets this week?

If you’re in Illinois, these Meijer deals run through Wednesday. If you’re reading from another state, they ENDED Saturday at your store… Confusing? Yes.
AND, if you shop at the Illinois NILES or ORLAND Meijer locations, they haven’t been following the same sale flyer as the oter Illinois Meijers, under the convoluted reasoning that because the stores are newer, people will shop there -without- as many products being on sale. O-kay.

Grab a January coupon book off the rack at the front of your Walgreens store, as there’s a $1-off-2 coupon inside. Buy two, and stack that coupon with the $1 coupon from 1/16 SS. You’ll pay $1.34 for two, or .67 each.
This deal REALLY shines with multiple coupons. With a second $1 manufacturer coupon from the 1/16 SS, pay .34 for two boxes, or .17 each! Look at that… “expensive” mac and cheese at powdered-box-cheese prices!
Cascade dishwasher detergent (60oz. powder or gel, or 15ct. Action Pacs) are on sale for $3.99. Buy one and receive $1 back in Register Rewards! Use the $1 coupon from the 2011 P&G Everyday Savings coupon book (home mailer), pay $2.99 and get $1 back. The Cascade’s yours for $1.99! The “Home Made Simple” coupon book has .50 Cascade coupons as well.
(I know we JUST had Finish/Electrasol free over the past couple of weeks, but Cascade has its fans too, and this is a very good price for it.)
Here’s a great deal on Tom’s Of Maine products! Deodorant, toothpaste and mouthwash are on sale for $3.99. Buy one and receive $3 back in RRs, making these just .99 each! This is a very good price for Tom’s Of Maine if you like it.
Remember that you will only receive one Register Reward per transaction, so split these into separate orders if you’re planning to stock up.
If you like John Frieda hair care products, this next deal’s for you… John Frieda shampoo, conditioner or stylers are on sale for $5 each. Buy 3 and get $5 back in Register Rewards! Use any of the following coupons:
– $2 off shampoo or conditioner – printable
– $2 off styler – 12/5 SS
– $1 off shampoo or conditioner – 12/5 SS
With three $2 coupons, pay $9 and get $5 back. $4 for 3 bottles is $1.33 each, an excellent price for John Frieda.
Prefer Pantene? It’s on sale for $3.50 a bottle. Buy two and get $2 back in RRs! Use the $3-off-2 coupon from 12/26 PG, pay $4 and get $2 back, resulting in $2 for 2 bottles of Pantene, or $1 each!
One of my readers (who wishes to remain anonymous because “this deal involves laxatives!”) sent along a deal on Dulcolax. Dulcolax Balance is on sale for $6.99. Use the $3 coupon in this week’s Walgreens flyer, and stack it with this $4 printable. Your Dulcolax will be FREE after the coupon stack!
Extra Gum is .50 a pack, limit 4, with the coupon in the Walgreens ad. Cheap-ish gum if you need it…
“No Coupon Needed” Deals:
Deerfield Farms cheeses (American singles, 12oz; shredded or block, 8oz.) are $1.50 each, limit 4.
Coupon booklets currently found at Walgreens
Vitamins and Supplements – $40 in Walgreens store coupons for vitamins and supplements. All expire 4/30/11.
And finally, over at CVS (View weekly ad)…
Before we dig into CVS, has anyone else been paying attention to their CVS receipts lately? For both the Wisk deal two weeks ago and the Pepsi deal last week (which had minimums of $25 and $20, respectively) the receipt has actually shown the deal’s qualifications fulfilled at $24.95 and $19.95. If this is going to continue to be the case, it’s interesting for deals that end in .99-priced items as you may not have to add something larger to get “over” the mark, depending on just what the threshold is.
On to the CVS deals…
Crest Pro-Health toothpaste and mouthwash are on sale for $2.99. Buy it and get $2 back in Extra Care Bucks! Use the $1 coupons for both in the 2011 P&G Everyday Savings coupon book (home mailer) – pay $1.99 and get $2 back, making it FREE! This offer is limit 2 per card.
If you don’t have the P&G book, there are also .75 toothpaste coupons in 12/26 PG and 1/16 PG that will net you .24 toothpaste. Oral B dental floss is in the deal too, and you can get it for .24 with the .75 coupon in 12/26 PG.
Here’s a deal on Listerine Zero 500ml mouthwash. It’s on sale for $3.79. Buy it and get $1 back in ECBs! Use the $2 coupon from 9/19/10 RP, pay $1.79 and get $1 back. Your Listerine is now .79! This offer is limit 2 per card.
Orbit Gum is on sale Buy One Get One Free. Use the B1G1F printables here and here. For every coupon you’ve got, you’ll get two packs FREE! Remember you can print these twice, so that’s potentially 8 packs of FREE Orbit!
Cascade dishwasher detergent (45oz. powder or gel) is on sale for $2.99. Use the $1 coupon from the 2011 P&G Everyday Savings coupon book (home mailer), pay $2.99 and get $1 back. The Cascade’s yours for $1.99! The “Home Made Simple” coupon book has .50 Cascade coupons as well.
(Note that this is the same price as the Cascade deal at Walgreens, but for the same price, you get 15oz. more detergent in the bottle at Wags.)
Dawn Hand Renewal dish detergent is on sale for .97. Use the $1 coupon from the Home Made Simple coupon book (home mailer) and it’s free! The same book has .50 coupons for more cheap Dawn, and the 2011 P&G Everyday Savings coupon book has .50 coupons as well… and so does the 12/26 PG insert!
Here’s a “Deja Vu: Yes, we’re still talking about CVS” deal on Tom’s Of Maine products! Deodorant, toothpaste and mouthwash are on sale for $3.99. Buy one and receive $3 back in ECBs, making these just .99 each! This is a very good price for Tom’s Of Maine if you like it. Limit 2 per card.
CVS is having a “Spend $25, get $10 in Extra Care Bucks” sale on Procter & Gamble products. Here are your products and matchups:

_____
Easiest deals to put together here will be two $9.99 items ($19.98) and 6 Puffs ($5.94) for a total of $25.42. Any coupons you use will knock this down more, and if you’ve got multiple 12/26 inserts, use two Puffs coupons as well.
Deals continuing from previous weeks:
CVS has Pepsi, Gatorade, Amp, Izze, Starbucks, Sobe, Doritos and Lays involved in a “Spend $20, Get $10” ECB deal.

The easiest and best deal I see? Buy six 12-packs of Pepsi product. Pay $20 and get $10. $10 for six 12-packs is $1.67 per 12-pack, or .14 a can!
CVS Tip: Remember to always scan your CVS card at the Coupon Center scanner in the store — it prints bonus coupons for you! And, CVS is now advertising a Thursday preview of the coming Sunday’s ad at www.cvs.com/weeklyad, so check in on Thursday…

As always, these deals are guidelines for shopping. I can make no guarantee that these items will be on sale, in stock, or available at your area store. I can also not guarantee your Catalinas will print, your cashier will smile at you while you check out, or that your shopping cart won’t have a broken wheel. But I CAN teach you how to save money :)
And, also, as always, a huge thanks to the many readers who posted and emailed deals that made it into today’s Deals of the Week! We’re all in this together, and I sincerely appreciate everyone who spots and passes along good deals that we can all enjoy :) Thank you… to YOU!
* (All You magazine is not a requirement for using the site, but if you like coupons, you will probably really enjoy it. It’s a cheap ($2.49 an issue) magazine that is absolutely filled with coupons each month — typically $50-$100 worth per issue! You can subscribe to All You online and save about $10/year off the cover price. And depending on the values, if you use 2 or 3 coupons alone from each issue, you’ve recouped the cost of the magazine, and you’re on your way to even bigger savings.)

Jill, first & foremost, THANK YOU so much for all of the incredible deals you post each week and for saving so many of us so much money! Now, on to my question… When CVS rolls their sales week to week, i.e… the Pepsi deal (I did it last week), do the ECB deals reset or can I do the Pepsi deal again this week?
DiamondCass says
I’ve noticed that many of these e-coupons say “one time” when you load them. Does that mean it will apply to ONE ITEM (ie one box of cereal) or to all items purchased in ONE TRANSACTION?
(I know some of the other coupons say “limit 2” or “unlimited” but the wording “ONE TIME” was what stumped me.)
I don’t do much Dom’s shopping because in the past I’ve had issues with misunderstanding the coupon policies and had trouble reading their receipts afterward, to determine if I got as much savings as I expected. So just wondering if someone can clear this up for me before I go so I can plan better :) Thanks!

Hi Jill,
Thanks for the early post. : )
I saw the ad and cut out all my liners coupons, but didn’t notice til yesterday that they’re only good on the 34 count or larger. The ones on sale are only the 20 count.
I don’t know the size restriction on the .50/1 (didn’t cut them out), but those might work.

FYI_ The walmart link says –There are no prints available for this campaign. But the other works perfectly- Thanks

Is anyone else having problems getting into the Meijer Mealbox coupons? I’m getting an error message “Sorry, the widget is not available right now. Please check back soon!”

Jill…Thanks for all you do!
I have a question about the Scrubbing Bubbles. Which Meijer location has the Toilet gel for $2.50?
Went to the Meijer in Rolling Meadows this morning. The Scrubbing Bubbles Foam Cleaner is on sale for $2.50. This is what is in the ad.
The Toilet Gel is tagged and scanning at $3.46. The Fresh Brush is tagged and scanning at $3.29.
I know sometimes I find items scanning differently at this store. Just an FYI for anyone who lives near the Rolling Meadows Meijer.

So the $1 off coupon for the mac and cheese is only good for kraft homestyle mac and cheese dinners. and as far a I could tell, those were not on sale. I tried to use the coupons but walgreens wouldnt let me. I was upset that walgreens only let me use 1 register reward on my purchase!! I had $15 in register rewards and they only allowed me to use a $5 RR! I have used numerous RR before in a single transactionand tis time they wouldnt let me. I ended up having to pay $11 when it could have used some more RR. Very upset will Walgreens this morning!
adrimom says
I completely understand your frustration at not being able to use multiple RRs because I felt the same way when this happened to me. Then I learned how Wags works. They allow 1 manu coupon per item you are buying and RRs ARE manu coupons. So.. if you’re buying 2 products and have 2 manu coupons you cannot use ANY RRs. The best way to get around this is to buy 1 additional super cheap item for each RR you want to use. They often have pencils or candy for around 10 cents. Add these to your order to use the RRs!
Hope this help!
(PS. Walgreens in ad coupons are NOT manus)
jwbrkr12 says
Ok so that makes sense, She was counting my products and stuff like that. WOuld have been nice for her to tell me the policy while she was counting. I am sure I will find a reason to use my RR, but it does make me feel sick to my stomach when i spent $11 thinking I would only be paying $1 out of pocket. But, now I know for next time. THANKS!

I was at Jewel today and the Bounty paper towels are not on sale for $4.99. I looked at both sales papers and could not find it. Is this a regional sale? I was at the Jewel in New Lenox.
Thanks!

Dominick’s has CoffeeMate Sugar and spice flavor on clearance for $1.09, use $1/1 exp Q from $70 book for 9 cent creamer.
Also, at Dom for OreIda and CapriSun I had old Jewel fliers from July, which had B2G1F for OreIda, so got 3 bags for $1, and CapriSun $1/2, so got 4 for $2.
At Wags children Advil is 2 for $10- $3 RR, use $2/1 from 12/12 RP,so $10-$4-$3=$3 for 2, which is good price, especially if you need it.
kidsbasket says
It is the bounty basic that is on sale but the Avenue worked on the basic.
skincarekathy says
You can actually get 2 of the .97 Olay soaps using the Olay $2 Q at Target. It only attaches to 1, but it takes off the full $2.
So, 2 free bars of soap if you don’t need to overage for something else!
skincarekathy says
The Del Monte Ready to Blend Fruit Smoothies are 10/$10 still at Dominicks. These are basically just a giant fruit cup with a small fruit puree shrinkwrapped together.
So free with $1/1 from the Doms August Health Newsletter, there were also $1/1 Qs in previous inserts (exp now), and at one time $1/1 printables.
EricaJeanne says
The 39-cent Campbell’s soups at the Crystal Lake Jewel were Chicken Noodle and Tomato, which are specifically excluded from the coupon… Still a good price w/o the Q.
Outlander says
Just came back from Wags and Mac and Cheese Q in the Jan booklet takes .50 cents off each. I bought 3, thinking it will be $5- $3 mfr Qs- $1/2 WQ, but it actualy took of $1.50 in Wag Q. Even better. But make sure to use reg mfr Qs first and then the booklet and it will scan fine. If you do booklet first, then your mfr Qs, it will say there isn’t enough product and it will beep.

Hi I was wondering if we can use expired target coupons at dominicks? I am kinda new to this and still trying to figure it all out:) Thanks

It says that the 12/5/10 SS should have the coupon for Lays chips but I am not seeing it for some reason. Is there something that I am missing? I have looked through the insert repeatedly today and it is making me crazy! So if someone can clear this up for me that would be great!
Thanks

Loaded my ecoupon for $3 off Tide Stain Release and went to Doms today. Grabbed the bottle tagged $3.49 and checked out. The $3 didn’t come off, so went to CS desk and was told that the $3 off Q is for the 32oz.-68oz. size (the $3.49 is 21oz.) Looked at my offers after (I email them to myself on my iPhone, so I have them) and sure enough under the ecoupon it specifically stated 32-68oz.

I just wanted to share. I have the toughest time finding the Dominick’s coupon books. So, today, finally, they had them behind the CS counter. They handed me one so I ask “why one” and they said that the last time the book came out a lady walked in and took every single book and walked out. So now they have to hand them out ONE PER CUSTOMER. At least I got one this time. :-) Sad, though it’s that type of behavior that will ruin it for everyone else.

Jill and icoupon2 for posting about the Jewel bounty deal. I found them on the side of an end cap just as I was about to leave and pay (no where to be found in the regular aisle) and used a $1. off from the P&G 2010 book (last sets exp. 1/31/11) and I had $1.75 on my avenu. Very nice. Also keep your eye out for a free back-pack tote wyb 10 vitamin, smart or propel etc. drinks. They had them on a display near the floor at mine.

Okay, I just got back from Dominick’s and feel like I have given them the last chance.
I started to buy 4 boxes of cereal, all checked to make sure that they were from the Buy 4 deal. 2 boxes of Chex, 2 boxes of Cheerios.
My total was listed and I handed over my FV card and my coupons. They scanned 2 55 cent off Cheerio coupons, and would not scan my $1/2 GM cereal coupons because it said “may not be used with any other coupon on these items” (the $1/2 printable that Jill listed in the links above). At that point, the total was listed as $10.56.
It said on the screen that $3.00 was taken off with my FV card and my 2 55 cent off coupons were the only discounts.
I got very frustrated with them not honoring my coupons and after I got in my car – how does $1.49 x 4 = $10.56 with tax???? It should have only be $6 and change, right?
I checked my FV card, I had no Chex or Cheerios loaded on it. WTH?>>?
Also, the Downers Grove and the Willowbrook store are both out of the Honey Nut Cheerios. Does any Dominicks have them around here?

Did anyone else have problems with using the $1 Q @ wags with their deal? I was in Rockford today celebrating b-day and went to the Wags on E State and Phelps. The clerk wouldn’t enter the $1 Q in by hand and the manager said that it stated on the Q that it could not be combined with any other offer. She stated that the Manufacturers were getting picky about the Q’s combined with the product being free and that it was a manufacturer deal and not a just a Wags deal. I took her information as I thought it may be a load of ___. What has anyone else heard about this?….My other coupons worked just fine with the other deals.
mrsemerson says
I went to Meijer to get the free Smart Balance milk. I had 4 manufacturers coupons for 1.50 off each and 2 $1 off 2 Meijer coupons. They didn’t take the entire $2 off from the store coupons.
They took 50 cents for each. I asked the customer service worker why both coupons were not accepted and she kept saying that the cashier scanned them and the computer only allowed 50 cents off each one. She also said that we cannot give you the total coupon amount since I would have 4 cents overage. I understood that part, but I didn’t get the best explanation as to why the amount deducted was 50 cents.
Anyone have any ideas?
I also tried to use the $1 off Tide coupons for the travel size but got shot down with those.
Anyone else have the same issue at the Meijers in Niles?
