That works out to .33 per roll, an excellent price for a double-roll of toilet paper. (Our rule of thumb for TP good prices is under .25 for a single roll, under .50 for a double, and so on.)

Are you on the Jewel-Osco email list? Jewel regularly sends out coupons to match with their current sales, and often they’re store coupons that can be stacked with manufacturer coupons!

Jewel meat deals:

• There are no meats in the current Jewel ads priced at $1.99/lb. or less. HOWEVER, it may be worth looking in the meat department for clearance meats. While I often see meat packages marked down at Dominick’s for being close to the date, this Sunday was the first day I have seen them at Jewel in a long time. I picked up a 2 1/2 pound package of Hormel sirloin pork chops marked at $6.30. It was expiring 7/25, and it had a “peelie” on it for an instore-special of $4 off, which made it $2.30 – a great buy. I hope to see more of this in the future at Jewel!

Jewel seafood deals:

• Fresh whole catfish are $3.99/lb.
• 4oz. frozen seafood portions (scallops, tilapia, salmon) are $1 each – that works out to $4/lb.

Jewel produce deals:

• Organic bananas are .79/lb.
• 3lb. bags of yellow onions are $2.49 each – that’s .83/lb.
• 1lb. bags of Farm Stand carrots are .88 each (1lb. bags of Wild Harvest Organic baby carrots are $1.67)

We spotted a clearance aisle of 75% off toys at Target this week, and this is the right time of year for that between-July-and-August toy clearance that happens each year. Keep your eyes open if you’re headed to Target!

Here’s an “okay” deal on Huggies and Pampers value-pack boxes (the really, really LARGE boxes, 100-128ct.) They’re on sale for $29.99 each this week at Target. Buy two and get a $10 Target gift card back.

There’s a $1.50 Huggies coupon in the 7/17 SS and a $1.50 Pampers coupon in the 6/5 PG. With two coupons, buy two boxes ($56.98.) Pay and get a $10 gift card back. That’s $46.98 for two, or $23.49 each. (I like to see diapers cheaper than this, but again, these are the large boxes too. Up to you.)

Irish Spring deodorant and body wash are cheap or free this week (depending on how many newspapers you got on Sunday!) Both Irish Spring deodorant and body wash are on sale for $3 each. Policies to know:

• Walmart will price match any competitor’s advertised price. Bring the other store’s flyers with you to the store.
   
• With the new coupon policy, Walmart will also accept other store’s STORE coupons with an actual price listed on them. For example, a Dominick’s store coupon advertising “.99 Ragu Pasta Sauce” would be accepted. A Walgreens store coupon advertising “2/$1 Morton’s Salt” would be accepted. (A Target store coupon for “$2.50 off Huggies” would not, because it does not show the actual selling price of the item.)
   
• With the new coupon policy, Walmart will also accept competitor’s Catalina manufacturer coupons. You can get a Catalina for $1 off Snuggle and use it at Walmart.
   
• Walmart’s new coupon policy specifically addresses coupon overage. It says “Coupons may exceed the price of the item. Change may be given or applied toward the cost of the basket purchase.”
   

I would print a copy and carry a copy of the coupon policy with you if you anticipate any issues.
