Note to my Safeway shoppers reading from outside Chicagoland: In Chicago, Dominick’s currently accepts expired coupons up to one year past the expiration date, so my coupon matchups for Dominick’s deals will include expired coupons. Kicking things off, Barilla pasta is .88 a box. Use the .55 off Piccolini pasta coupon from 3/7 SS and take this home for .33 a box! There are also .50 off Piccolini pasta coupons in the 8/23/09 SS and 3/29/09 SS for more .38 pasta…

Go figure.)
Softsoap 7.5oz. hand soap pumps are $1 again — if you haven’t used them up, there are a few expired .35 coupons out for these that will make the pumps .65 each: 4/26/09 SS, 3/29/09 SS. As these are nearing their one-year expiration date, use them up if you want some cheap soaps…

With 7 .50-off-2 coupons, pay $22.10 and get $10 back. 14 boxes for $12.10 is .86 a box.
(YES, we have and will see these cheaper than this in the future. But if you like and want these… that’s about the best we have at the moment.)

UPDATED FOR 3/15: A better all-vegetables deal with NO coupons
Buy 16 bags of Safeway Frozen Vegetables ($26)
Pay $16 and get $10 back = $16 for 16 bags.
This deal got much better this week with the drop in price! Remember that these are 32-ounce (2lb) bags. $1 a bag for 2 lbs. of frozen vegetables is a very GOOD price.
_____________________________________________________
And, for those die-hard people who chased the Jewel Preferred Card Update promo around the suburbs throughout 2009, if you did the Update a ridiculous amount of times, you just might have enough coupons for this next, wild scenario:
A “You have HOW many Jewel Update Books?” sausage deal
Buy 13 boxes of Jones Frozen Sausages ($26)
Use 13 $1 coupons from Jewel Preferred Update book
Pay $13 and get $10 back! 13 boxes of sausages for $3!
(Yeah… highly unlikely. BUT, that $1 coupon is an excellent one to work into a mix & match on other products here.)
If you did the $25/$10 P&G Catalina at Dominick’s within the last two weeks, you CAN roll that $10 Catalina into this new frozen food deal — a great way to reduce your out-of-pocket total even more. Be aware that the $10 Catalina you get from this new frozen food deal specifies it is good on your next purchase of FROZEN FOOD. The plus? You can keep rolling it back into this frozen deal.
Moving beyond the Catalina craziness, here are other little Dom’s deals worth noting:
Continuing through 4/1, PureVia sweetener is on sale for $1.99. Use the $2 coupon in 1/3 SS1 and it’s yours… FREE!
As usual, there are some Dominick’s Super Coupons* in this week’s ads too. Best bet?
- Lucerne String or Stick cheese (12-16oz.) are $2.49 a bag with Super Coupon.
- Purina Dog Chow is $9.99 for a 17.6-20lb. bag with Super Coupon. Stack it with the $1.50 coupon from 10/11/09 SS or 10/18/09 SS and pay $8.49!
Dominick’s meat deals:
- 73% lean ground beef is $1.49/lb
- Boneless pork sirloin chops are $1.49/lb
- Fresh Perdue chicken drumsticks or thighs are $1.49/lb
- Fresh Perdue whole chickens are $1.49/lb
- Corned beef points are $1.67/lb
- Safeway boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs are $1.99/lb
Dominick’s produce deals:
- Large Red Delicious apples are .99/lb
- Broccoli crowns or cauliflower are .99/lb
- Jumbo yellow onions are $1 for TWO pounds – EXCELLENT price
- Tender green asparagus is $1.99/lb. Use this .50 coupon and pay $1.49/lb.
- Eating Right baby-cut carrots are $2.50 for a 2lb. bag
- 8lb. bags of navel oranges are $4.99
*A note on Dominick’s Super Coupons: Dominick’s has changed their policy on minimum purchases for “Super Coupons.” You’ll remember that the old policy stated that the $10 or $20 minimums were based on the regular, non-sale, non-Fresh Values prices of the products:
What does “minimum $10 (or $20) purchase required” mean? To use store coupons that include a minimum purchase requirement, you must spend a minimum dollar amount on that shopping trip. You will reach the minimum purchase amount based upon total purchases before your Club Card discount is applied. This total will include the coupon item’s regular price, not the discounted price. For example, the regular retail price of a box of Cheerios (before coupon and before Club Card discounts) will count toward the minimum purchase required in order to use the Cheerios coupon.
Got that? Now look at the new policy on Dominick’s site:
What does “minimum $10 (or $20) purchase required” mean? To use store coupons that include a minimum purchase requirement, you must spend a minimum dollar amount on that shopping trip. You will reach the minimum purchase amount based upon total purchases after your Club Card discount is applied. For example, the regular retail price of a box of Cheerios (after Club Card discounts) will count toward the minimum purchase required in order to use the Cheerios coupon.
This policy change is certainly a disappointing turn of events, to say the least…
Heading over to Meijer, here are your best deals of the week…
Oscar Mayer hot dogs are a STEAL! They’re on sale for $1.50 a package. Buy 2 and get a $2 Catalina — you’ll end up paying $1 for two, or .50 each… without any coupons! This deal currently rolls too (you can use the Catalina from buying one to buy more on a future trip.)
Ore-Ida potatoes are on sale for $2.50 a 20-32 ounce bag. Buy 2 and get $2 in instant savings! Use the $1-off-2 coupon from February All You, and you’ll pay $2 for 2 bags! That’s cheap!
Meijer has Barilla pasta on sale this week for .79. Use the .55 coupon for Piccolini from 3/7 SS and take it home for .24! There’s a .55 coupon for whole grain Barilla in the same insert, and whole grain pastas are the same price too!
Meijer milk is $2 a gallon…
Dannon Light and Fit yogurt is on sale 10 for $4. Use this $1 off 6 coupon, buy 6, and pay just .23 each! Anytime yogurt is under .25 a cup, it’s a buy — and if you didn’t stock up bigtime during last week’s Catalina sale at Jewel, here’s another chance for cheap yogurt…
Meijer meat deals:
- Meijer or Tyson Whole Roaster chickens are .99/lb
- USDA Choice flat cut corned beef is $1.99/lb.
- Angus ground beef from round is $1.99/lb
- Meijer Pollock fillets are $2.79/lb
– this is a little higher than I usually like to pay per pound for anything, but I have not seen fish fillets this low in quite some time, so it’s worth noting.
Meijer produce deals:
- Cabbage is.29/lb
- Lady Alice, Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Gala, Granny Smith, Fuji, Braeburn, or Jonagold apples are $1.18/lb
- Fresh tender asparagus or white asparagus is $1.99/lb
- Bolthouse Farms baby-cut carrots are $1.98 for a 2lb. bag
Note that Meijers in other states are on different schedules. The Illinois Meijers are about a week behind on the sales vs. Indiana/Michigan. If you’re in Illinois, these Meijer deals run through Wednesday. If you’re reading from another state, they ENDED Saturday at your store… Confusing? Yes. AND, if you shop at the Illinois NILES Meijer location, they haven’t been following the same sale flyer as the other Illinois Meijers, under the convoluted reasoning that because the store is new, people will shop there -without- as many products being on sale. O-kay.
For my Rockford-area shoppers (and Kroger shoppers too!) Hilander really has some great sales going on this week that will have you taking home lots of groceries for very little!
Betty Crocker Warm Delights are on sale for $1.50. Stack that .50 ecoupon with a .50 coupon from 2/7 GM, printable, or printable – your .50 coupon doubles to $1, and the ecoupon pays the last .50. It’s FREE! If you like these, the rest of the .50 coupons listed with net you more at .50 each…
Nature Valley Nut Clusters are on sale for $2.29. Stack that $1 ecoupon with the $1 coupon from 2/21 SS, printable, or printable – and you’ll pay .29 for your bag!
Betty Crocker Cookie Mix is on sale for $1.50. Stack the .40 ecoupon with the .40 coupon from 2/7 GM, printable, or printable – it will double to .80, and you’ll pay just .30 for your mix!
Personal care freebies! One of the constants of being a coupon shopper is that you rarely, if ever, pay for ANY personal care products, and this holds true with our next two Hilander deals!
Reach dental floss is also on sale for $1. There are lots of coupons current for this — any $1 coupons from 1/3 RP, 10/18/09 RP, or 10/4/09 RP will have you taking these home FREE!
Listerine Pocket Packs are also (you guessed it) on sale for a buck. The .50 coupons from 1/3 RP and 10/18 RP will double, netting you two FREE!
Hilander meat deals:
- Kroger value chicken drumsticks or thighs are $1.19/lb.
- Kroger cornered beef points are $1.57/lb.
- Ground chuck is $1.68/lb
- Perdue boneless, skinless chicken breasts are $1.87/lb.
- Assorted pork chops are $1.99/lb.
Hilander produce deals:
- Washington pears are .99/lb.
Target’s got a pretty good deal going on selected Kellogg’s cereals and 12-ct. Pop Tarts. They’re on sale for $2.50 a box. Buy 4 and get a $5 Target gift card! Let’s make this better with coupons…
– $1.50 off 2 Frosted Mini Wheats
– $1 off 2 – 3/7 RP
– $1 off 3 – 2/7 RP
– $1 off 2 Pop-Tarts
Want a couple of easy scenarios?
Buy 4 Frosted Mini-Wheats. Use two $1.50-off-2 printables. Pay $7 and get $5 back! That’s .50 a box…
Or…
Buy 4 Kellogg’s Pop Tarts. Use two $1 printables. Pay $8 and get $5 back – that’s .75 a box…
Continuing from last week, there’s a great deal on Crest Kids Toothpaste. It’s on temporary price cut to $1.49. Use the .75 coupon from 3/7 or 2/7 PG and stack it with this $1 Target Store coupon for $1 off Kids’ Crest. And guess what… it’s FREE!
Band-Aids are on price cut to $1.88. Use the $1 Band-Aid coupon from 1/3 RP and stack it with this $1 Target store Band-Aid coupon = FREE Band-Aids! Nice!
Numerous readers have reported seeing Gillette Men’s Body Wash on sale for $1.99 — it’s usually on an endcap and not with the other body washes. This item pairs nicely with the $4 off 2 off Gillette Men’s Body Wash coupons in the 2/21 PG – TWO free!
Anyone who’s taken my Super-Couponing class knows how much I love free Johnson & Johnson’s Buddies baby soaps! This week’s 3/7 RP has a $1 coupon for any Johnson’s Baby product (1/3 RP has the same coupon if you haven’t used it yet.) But why stop there? Here’s another $1 printable… and yet another $1 printable! Yes, that’s a lot of free soap!
Note that because the soaps sell for .97 at Target, the coupons will beep. The cashier can either choose to allow the .03 overage or adjust the value of the coupon down to .97. Strangely, many Target cashiers don’t know how to do this, but it’s addressed right in their coupon policy on Target.com. Print and carry a copy with you if you anticipate any issues.
SuperTarget produce deals:
- Strawberries are $2.50 for a 1lb. package
Over at Kmart, they are ALSO having a high-value Catalina deal this week involving numerous cleaning and paper products!
Kmart is running a “Spend $20, get $5 OR Spend $30, get $10 Catatalina deal.
What’s interesting about this sale is that the ad states “Offer is good on ANY size, scent or variety of these featured brands,” and then goes on to list the brands, noting that there are over 165 included items. No worrying about UPC lists or spreadsheets here! Here are your matchups. (Note that the ad features VERY few prices – I’ve noted them here. If you come up with a good scenario, please feel free to post and share it!) Angel Soft – $5.49 for 12 double or 24 regular rolls Brawny Coast Dial – $3.50 for 8 bar soap, body wash or body wash refill Dixie Purex – $4 for 72oz. liquid, $5 for 3-in-1 Quilted Northern Renuzit – $1 for Adjustables, $2.79 for Pearl Scents Right Guard – $2.50 deodorant Soft Scrub Sparkle – $5.49 for 8-roll pack Tone – $3.50 for 6-bar soap Vanity Fair Zout |
While we’re on the topic, Kmart’s Super Double Coupons event is scheduled to return 4/4-4/10! More on that as we get closer… but this is a FUN event for Chicagoans, as we have NO double coupon promotions in our immediate area other than this. And, this Catalina sale runs through 4/12/10! So we’ll have some overlap between the Catalina and the double coupons early next month.
Drugstore Deals
Heading to Walgreens, you can take home MORE free toothpaste today! Colgate Total Advanced is on sale for $3.99 a tube. Buy it and get $3.99 back in Register Rewards = FREE Colgate! Make it a moneymaker with the $1 coupon from 3/7 SS – pay $2.99 and get $3.99 back! There’s also a $1 manufacturer coupon for Colgate Total on the cover of the current Jewel-Osco flyer! So, there’s NO excuse for not stocking way, way up on free toothpaste this week with so many coupons available! :)
Reese’s Dark Peanut Butter Cups are on sale for .49 with the Walgreens coupon on the front page of the current flyer. Stack this with the .55 coupon from 3/14 SS and enjoy your FREE chocolate! (Note that in order for your coupons to scan correctly, give the cashier the store coupon LAST.)
Here’s a deal on Bic Briteliner Highlighter 5-packs of markers. They’re .49 with the coupon on page 6 of the Walgreens flyer. Buy two, and stack this with the $1-off-2 coupon from 8/9/09 SS and they’re FREE! (Again, give the store coupon last for these to ring correctly.)
Sudafed PE is very cheap this week too! It’s on sale for $4.99 a 18-24ct. box Buy two and get $5 back in RRs! Use two $2 coupons to make this a better deal (3/14 RP, 12/16/09 RP) – pay $5.98 and get $5 back! TWO for under a dollar!
Want some cheap Tylenol instead? Here’s a similar deal. Tylenol Cold Relief is also $4.99 with $5 back in RRs when you buy two. So, buy two. Use a $3-off 2 coupon (3/14 RP, 2/7 RP, 1/3 RP) pay $6.98 and get $5 back! Two for $1.98! (Note that you CANNOT do this deal AND the Sudafed deal in the same transaction – only one RR will print.)
Rimmel makeup is 50% off, and there’s a $1 coupon in 3/14 RP. Many cosmetics are going to be a deal here – eyeliners are $2, and with coupon, they’ll be $1. Mascara is $1.75 — just .75 with coupon.
And finally, over at CVS, Right Guard deodorant is very cheap! It’s on sale for $2.50, and you’ll get $2 back in Extra Care Bucks when you buy 2. So buy two, and use this $2 off 2 coupon — pay $3 and get $2 back in ECBs! This works out to just .50 a deodorant…
CVS Tip: Remember to always scan your CVS card at the price scanner in the store — it prints bonus coupons for you!

As always, these deals are guidelines for shopping. I can make no guarantee that these items will be on sale, in stock, or available at your area store. I can also not guarantee your Catalinas will print, your cashier will smile at you while you check out, or that your shopping cart won’t have a broken wheel. But I CAN teach you how to save money :)
And, also, as always, a huge thanks to the many readers who posted and emailed deals that made it into today’s Deals of the Week! We’re all in this together, and I sincerely appreciate everyone who spots and passes along good deals that we can all enjoy :) Thank you… to YOU!
* (All You magazine is not a requirement for using the site, but if you like coupons, you will probably really enjoy it. It’s a cheap ($2.49 an issue) magazine that is absolutely filled with coupons each month — typically $50-$100 worth per issue! You can subscribe to All You online and save about $10/year off the cover price. And depending on the values, if you use 2 or 3 coupons alone from each issue, you’ve recouped the cost of the magazine, and you’re on your way to even bigger savings.)

Boy was I surprised to see this tonight!! Go Jill. You’ve had a heck of a week and here you have this done, wow. Thanks!

Thanks for the early posting Jill! I’ve got a questions about the Betty Crocker “5 fruit snacks deal”
As you posted: “Buy 5 boxes of Betty Crocker fruit snacks – (Total $5)…Use two .50-off-2 ecoupons from above, and two .50-off-2 manufacturer coupons. Pay $3 for your 5… and get a $3.50 Catalina back! FRUIT SNACK MONEYMAKER!”
To use a total of four – .50-of-2 coupons, wouldn’t you need to buy 8 boxes of fruits snacks? I apologize if this is a dumb question, I’m just trying to figure out how to make this a money maker. Thanks!!
DiamondCass says
Jill, THANKS!!! for posting these so early! I just logged on to see if there were any new posts… And SURPRISE! the deals were up!!
Thank you for all you do! You’re the best :)

:) Even though I should be sleeping, I just got back from Jewel and Doms. Jewel was before the deals for some stuff we just need. I just did a few of the Doms deals. I saved 94%!!!! How fun! Thank you so much for all that you do, and an extra thanks for posting so early tonight! I literally walked out of Dominicks and out loud thanked God for you.

Some of us were discussing the catalinas that have printed for $2.50 off 3 Johnsons baby or Desitin products.
If we use this coupon, can we ALSO use a $1 off coupon? I’m not sure if because it is $2.50 off 3 that coupon is applied to all 3 therefore we can’t use any MORE coupons, or if we can still use 1 coupon per item PURCHASED…?
kay9pets says
The $3 coupon in the insert is for the multivitamin only, there is also a $1 for any of their vitamins. The link for the IP printable is a $1 coupon. I checked the prices today at Wags since they are BOGO there this week. They start at just over $4 and go up quite a bit higher depending in which vitamin, etc….

Also I accidentally bought 2 Cole’s cheese stuffed Garlic bread sticks they did NOT show on my recipt as B1G1 Free but I didnt notice till I got home so bummer payed a little more for the deal, o well.
hookedonsaving says
I got 5 bags for $.02 each at Dom’s.
$1.50 wyb 5 = 7.50
(5) $1 Q’s from Coupons.com and General Mills inserts
(2) $1 Q loaded from Cellfire and Shortcuts
(1) .40 Q for granola bars loaded from cellfire that worked for the clusters.
Sorry I can’t be more specific on which inserts. My DH loves these things, so I usually clip them as I see them and wait for a big sale. I guess you could do a coupon look up.
Also, just a warning that I’ve had iffy luck with the ecoupons. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Still a good deal even without the e Q’s!

I actually went to do a CHILL this weekend and I checked (and re-checked) ALL UPCs. When I got there..of course…not CAT. So I went to CS and asked why it didn’t print. The woman actually sat and checked (and re-checked) EVERY UPC (it was actually quite annoying but I understood) and she SWORE up and down that the Jose Ole’s were not including the $1.00 chims. I got the chicken and cheese and they matched the UPC list on your site. I bit my tongue and left, but wanted to warn others. =) Thanks for the list Jill. I honestly have NO IDEA how you do what you do!!!!!

I haven’t done this yet, but on the front page of the CVS ad is Aussie Shampoo for $2.99, with $1 Extra Reward Bucks (making it $1.99). There is a $2 coupon in 3/14 RP. Making it free…unless of course, I’m missing something!!! :)
HeatherPate says
There’s a 75 cent coupon in Sunday’s paper, it’s on sale for $1.69, $1 your buck…MONEY MAKER!

I bought 10 chicken cheese at the Jewel in New Lenox on laraway on Saturday.
I asked the manager who was hanging out in the isle if they applied…he walked over to the freezer read the price and said NO that would make them free then! I took my chances anyway because I had seen it here, and sure enough they were FREE!!

This week Walgreens has Gold Medal Flour in the 5lb bag 2/$3.
If you’re one of those people that prints off all of the coupons.com coupons, you may be able to do better on this deal.
In the last couple of weeks (as of yesterday, it was no longer available), there was a $.75 coupon for one 5lb bag of Gold Medal flour.
Using the two coupons you’re allowed to print, that makes the Walgreens Gold Medal Flour deal now two 5lb bags for $1.50.
Unfortunately, you must have already printed these coupons because they are no longer available but that’s a lot of baking.

Hi Jill,
The Kellogg’s coupon in the Dec. All You is for the new Kellogg’s Corn Flakes Touch of Honey. Can we use these on the regular Corn Flakes that are on sale?
Also, the Jewel Deli coupon for the American Greetings Card says “Cannot be combined wtih any other offer.” Further down is says “Limit one card per coupon. Limit one coupon per customer.” Can we combine this with the AG coupon for the bunny and the AG B2G$2 off coupon that are on tear pads? My basic question is can I use the Deli BOGO, bunny, and B2G$2 off coupons on 3 cards and a bunny?
Thanks for your help!

Has anyone done this? I went this morning and I didn’t see them on the shelf for 3.29 nor an ECB tag). Also checked the ad and I didn’t see it.
What count is it? I only saw the larger sizes in the store.
What am I missing?
Thanks in advance!

Jill, I just got back from CVS. There seems to be no deal on Stayfree, the cashier thought it was last week. We also couldn’t find it in the flyer. Am I missing something here?? Thanks.

Hi honey. Just looked over your question. CVS buck back is on shampoo, conditioner or styler. 3/14RP Q is for $2 off any styler WHEN BUYING ONE SHAMPOO OR CONDITIONER. Since there is a limit of one per household with your CVS card, you can’t do a FREE deal. I have a $1 off any Aussie Q if you would like to have it. That would make the deal 99¢ if you want the Aussie. Let me know.
P.S. I found your Target list and coupons, so I will pick up your items when I go out today. Love you.

The Sudafed sale and RR deal also includes the Sudafed OM nasal mist .05 oz. In the 3/14 RP there’s a $4.00 coupon for nasal mist — buy two for $9.98, use two $4.00/1, pay $1.98 and get back $5.00. Did it twice this morning. :)

Attention Catalina Deal Seekers….the CATALINA machines are DOWN at the CRYSTAL LAKE JEWEL. When i left at 1:00 PM there was no indication when they may be back up and running (and printing!!!) again. Just an FYI….I wondered why Jewel seemed so dead!

I walked out of there with 20 items from the cereal/fruit snack deals.
Ecoupons came off for the fruit snacks, several more than I had expected.
I paid $5.75 and received $6.50 in cats!
And then there is the abundance of salad and dressing that I’ll be getting on Wed. I have to wait till then so my fridge will hopefully have a little free space.
Oh, and don’t forget the 4 pkgs of Ivory soap that were all free with ecoupons and regular Q’s.
To top it off, I found the $15 Q book today near the body soaps and the $18 Q book last week by a pasta sauce display.
Doms, are you trying to win me back????

Campbell’s Cream of Chicken and Cream of Mushroom soup are on sale at Jewel this week for .79. Through the Catalina deal, you can buy 4 for $3.16 and get $1 Yourbucks back. Print a coupon for $1 off 4 Campbell’s soups at http://www.campbellkitchen.com and that’s four cans of soup for $1.16. .29 a can is a pretty decent deal.

Has anyone had trouble with the Suave YourBucks? I know it is set to expire tomorrow, but I attempted the deal listed above, with the $3 off 2 Suave deoderant tonight and did 2 different transactions and got the YourBuck for neither of them. I did get it for my eggs though, so I know everything was working correctly. Anybody else have this issue?
Thanks!

Just curious if anyone knew if Jewel still had their OM bacon, hot dogs, and lunchmeat on sale along wih the OM Catalina for bacon and hot dogs (in addition to the YB)? I took my neighbor shopping for her first YB/Catalina deal (we had a blast!) and we made out with really cheap OM meat along with other things of course! I still have q’s left, but didn’t see OM listed in the deals this week.
Also, has anyone actually tried the “Just Bunches” cereal and got a YB back? I was wondering because the YB list just says Honey Bunches of Oats or Fruity Pebbles (I don’t think Just Bunches actually says ‘Honey Bunches of Oats’ on the box). THANKS!!!

I clicked on the link for the save $5 on ten printable coupon and it took me to a save $1 on 5? Did the coupon change?

Thought I’d let everyone know…I stopped at 3 different Wags yesterday and ALL of them had different Tylenol Cold boxes with $2 peelies on them! $4.99 a piece, buy two get $5 back. $10-$4 peelies = $6 OOP and $5 in RR!!! $0.50 a box! (Compared to the $1 a box they would have been if I used my Q’s from the inserts!)
frugalfor6 says
Just Bunches worked for me too today. I guess it does say “Honey Bunches of Oats” on the box. Also FYI, the OM bacon and hot dogs are still on sale, and the OM Catalina ($1 for 2 bacon and $2 for 2 hot dogs) is still working too. :o) THANKS!!
mom2lsandas says
Thanks for the tip! Our local paper recently combined their Sat and Sun papers into one weekend edition that comes on Sat and now we don’t get inserts anymore! So, unless I remember to pick up the Trib, I usually find most of my coupons online now.

Does anyone know if the YB Cats – that are expiring today – are still working today (Tuesday)? I noticed they pulled the original list, but I am wondering if I can still go pick up some eggs and bread and Suave deoderant.

I just left the Lombard Jewel and got my YB for the eggs and bread. Go get yours while you can!

I printed $1/2 coupons from the scotch website (it’s a pdf, so you can print as many as you want). they are b1g1 right now at Jewel. –so–
$1.69 each b1g1 –2 for $1.69 less $1 coupon = .69 for two or about 35 cents each
I was in a hurry and screwed-up by buying the 3-pack but still made out pretty good. After I got in the car my brain kicked in and I realized I should have purchased the single packs. duh!

If you live near a hilander, go there before doing the cereal deal at target. They have multiple blinkies for kelloggs cereals. Grab them, and take them to Target! One in particular: $1 off 2 boxes of rice krispies cereals. At target, they are on sale for $2.39 instead of $2.50. Also, $0.70 off each corn pops. Ended up buying 16 boxes for under $11 after taxes!!

When you stack fruit snacks, (say, 5 times) do you receive 5- $3.50 cats or 1-$17.50 cat? Thank you and Happy St. Patrick’s Day.

For the Jewel deal am I looking for Chimichangas or Burritos? I saw burritos 10/$10, but didn’t buy them because I wasn’t sure if they were different from Chimichangas.

I went to the new Meijer in Niles yesterday and they did not have the pasta on sale. I scanned all the Barilla types and all were at regular pricing. They did have the hot dogs. The milk was $1.50 not $2.00, which was a good surprise. This isn’t the first time this has happened at this store so I wonder, is it on some other ad dating than the other stores or am I just loosing it?

Are new Jewel Cat deals suppossed to be posted every Wednesday or has that deal already reached it’s end? I went on yesterday to check out the new deals and there aren’t any new ones listed.

Ahhh….she who hesitates….I finally made room for 3 Edy’s in the freezer and the coupon from the 1/31SS expired on Monday. :( Still 6.49 for 3 Edy’s is good enough for me. Guess I’ll get it anyway since they will be paying me to take cereal home this week!

I am soooo lucky I had some luck and got an additional $3 off coupon for the meat. So, I purchased four at B1G1F and had a coupon for B3G4thF and a $3 off coupon for the meat. With one Gillette shave cream @ $.99, my total was $6.34…preferred save $1, MFG coupons $10.99. Woo Hoo. Didn’t mind not having the coupon for my husband’s purchase. He is sooo proud of me…finance guy.
