Instead of spending another weekend summer-in-March day indoors, I spent most of my Saturday writing up deals so that you can shop sooner…. or simply spend the rest of this gorgeous weekend outdoors too, as I plan to! IMPORTANT JEWEL-OSCO NOTE: All Jewel locations are in the process of updating their cash registers to a new system. If your store has updated to the new registers, and you are using TWO coupons on a Buy One, Get One Free sale, the register is currently scanning the second coupon as $0.00. The register will not beep and you will have no way of knowing your coupon’s value did not get recognized unless you are watching closely. Jewel is working on a solution to this problem and I have a response from corporate here indicating that their two-coupons-on-a-B1G1F policy has NOT changed, and the Sept. 2011 coupon policy is still correct for all stores. Deal ideas for these this week?

Wild Harvest has a lot of fresh produce items (carrots, salad greens, cucumbers) that you could take an additional .50 off of with the Wild Harvest ecoupon. Or, go for other organics that are more difficult to coupon. Wild Harvest Organic Maple Syrup (12oz.) is $7.49 this week – would be $6.99 after the ecoupon.

Essential Everyday Frozen Breakfast Sandwiches (10.2oz., ad shows wheat English muffin and croissants with sausage, egg and cheese) are on sale for $2. After the .50 EE ecoupon, you’re at $1.50!

And lastly, my favorite deal idea… Culinary Circle Pizzas (12-36oz.) are $4 each. Buy three ($12.) After the $1 off 3 Culinary Circle ecoupon, you’re at $11 for three, or about $3.67 each! Who doesn’t love these pizzas, especially at this price?

If you’re doing the Culinary Circle Pizza deal above, reader Outlander shared a great tip for getting even more of these at a good price. Head over to Target’s site and print the coupon for $1-off-2 Archer Farms Pizzas.

Jewel’s coupon policy allows a competitor’s coupon for a house-branded product to be used on a similar house-branded Jewel product. So, buy two Culinary Circle pizzas ($8) and use the $1-off-2 coupon. You’ll pay $7 for two, or $3.50 each!

Purex laundry detergent‘s a decent price this week too. 72-ounce bottles and 26-count packs are on sale for $2.99. For liquid, use the .50 coupon from 3/11 RP. You’ll pay $2.49! For the packs, use the $1 coupon also from the 3/11 RP. You’ll pay $1.99!

There’s a Snack Mania promotion running on various crackers. Buy any 5 of the following and save $5 — this makes the price $1.99 per box before coupons. Here are your products and matchups:

Keebler Wheatables, Toasteds, All-Bran, Club, or Town House Crackers (7-16oz.) – $1.99

Keebler and Sunshine will be $1.49 per box after coupons. To do an all-Special-K deal, this SHOULD work before instant savings, as the instant is being applied by the store after you buy in quantities of 5. I’m thinking you could buy 7 for $20.93. Get $5 instant savings from the store for buying 5 (now $15.93.) Get another $5 back from SavingStar, and you’re at $10.93 for 7 boxes, or $1.56 each.

Coffee deals! Chock Full O’Nuts and Hills Bros. Coffee (27.8-33.9oz.) are both on sale for $6.99 each. For Chock Full O’Nuts, load the .75 SavingStar ecoupon and pay $6.24 after the discount. For Hills Bros., use this $1 printable and pay $5.99!

Jewel’s running a sale on its Equaline house-brand of products. Buy $20 worth of participating Equaline items and get $5 in instant-savings! Prices are in the Sunday Jewel ad. What looks best to me… the Equaline Vitamins are all on sale B1G1F. Only the bottles you PAY for will count, but buying $20 worth and paying $15 will in theory give you $40 worth of vitamins, depending how close to $20 you can come when you’re putting your deal together.

These are a little cheaper (.88) at Dominick’s this week, but Diet Pepsi 2-liters are on sale for $1 at Jewel. Use the .55 coupon from 3/18 SS and pay .45!

Nasoya Pasta Zero Shirataki Spaghetti Noodles (7.7-9oz.) are $2. These are those 4-carb, 20-calorie noodles made from the root of the Konjac plant. Basically, they have nearly no nutritional value but are very popular with dieters because they… go right through you undigested. The are also supposed to smell horrible until you rinse and cook them. I am both fascinated by and a little scared of these :) Learn more here…

Taste of Home FREE Cookbook, 5-cup Rice Cooker and 12-quart Tamale Steamer P&G Promotion

Jewel is running an “A Taste Of Home” mail-in promotion on P&G products. Buy $25 worth of P&G products in one transaction and receive a 2-piece cookware set and one cookbook of your choice via mail (view ad here.)

The cookware is a 12-quart tamale steamer, a 5-cup rice cooker, and one of the following cookbooks: “Fresh Mexico,” “Latin Grilling,” or “Cocina Cubana.” $25 worth of goods must be purchased in the same transaction, and you must submit a receipt from the same store you found the forms in (must be from Jewel – cannot use a Dominick’s receipt, etc.)

The offer runs through 4/30/12. Look for the forms for this rebate in Spanish/Latino Jewel locations.

The form for this offer is online too on another store’s website. Several readers called the number on the form and were told that printable versions would be accepted.

UPDATE! On 2/11, I received my A Taste of Home package. It contained the rice cooker, the “Latin Grilling” cookbook I chose, and a note stating that due to overwhelming demand, the tamale steamer will not be available until June 2012, so it will ship separately.

Note to Safeway shoppers reading from outside Chicagoland: In Chicago, Dominick’s does not double coupons (as other Safeway stores do) – if your store doubles, you’ll do even better with many of these deals. • General Mills Frosted Toast Crunch, Trix, or Golden Grahams (10.7-12.3oz.) are $1.99 each, limit 4, with Super Coupon. Buy three and use the $1-off-3 coupon from the 3/11 SS. You’ll pay $4.97 for three, or about $1.66 each.  
   
• Jack’s Pizzas (15-18.6oz.) are $1.99 each, limit 3, with Super Coupon. Use the .75 coupon from the March All You or a printable and pay $1.24! SUPER price for Jack’s! The 1/29 RP also has a $1-off-3 that will drop these to about $1.66 each after coupon when you buy 3.  
   
• Nature Sweet Cherry Tomatoes (10.5oz.) are .99, limit 2, with Super Coupon.  
   
• Safeway Select Pizza Dough Balls (16oz., usually found near the deli cases by the fresh pizzas) are .99 each with Super Coupon. We like the garlic & herb kind!  
   
• Doritos (11-11.5oz.) are $1.69 a bag, limit 4, with Super Coupon. These ARE cheaper on Just For U this week, but if you want to buy more than 3 bags in your trip, .12 more per bag isn’t bad, and then you can buy 7 total. We haven’t seen them this cheap in quite some time.  
   
• 64oz. Safeway Orange Juice is $3.99, limit 2, with Super Coupon.

NEW: Here’s a $2-off-$10 Lucerne Products printable! (Lucerne is Safeway’s house brand of dairy products.) If you’re getting milk or eggs with the Just For U deals up above, work this in too. Buying 2 half-gallons of Lucerne milk plus 2 Lucerne eggs puts you at $4.28. Get to 10 with any of the other Lucerne prices/products in this week’s ad, like…

– 32oz. (big 2-pound packages) Lucerne Shredded or Chunk Cheese are $5.99. Adding a bag to your milk and eggs will put you at $10.27 = $8.27 after coupon.
– Lucerne String Cheese (16oz.) or Cheese Sticks (12oz.) are $3.49, limit 2 with Super Coupon.

Dominick’s is running a “Buy 8, Get .50 off Each” sale on a variety of products. Some of these are not the greatest prices (Hamburger Helper, Betty Crocker cookies are much cheaper at Jewel this week) so I’m only listing the standouts. Prices shown are AFTER the “Buy 8” discount. You must buy 8 or more to receive these prices. Capri-Sun (10ct.) – $1.99 – Buy 3 Get 1 Free – 3/18 SS (works out to $5.97 for four after coupon, or about $1.49 each. Also note that the “new” versions of Capri-Sun are being made with HFCS again and not natural sugar, unfortunately.) “Spend $10, Get $5″ Frozen Foods Catalina Sale” March is officially Frozen Food Month (did you know?) and this frozen food Catalina’s going to be fun! Buy $10 worth of any frozen (that’s before coupons, excluding frozen bakery, meat, seafood, deli) and get a $5 Catalina good for any frozen items marked “NEW.” There are over 200 items marked NEW, some of which are in the ad, and most of which aren’t actually new. Through 3/31! While you can get your $10 Catalina buying nearly any $10 worth of frozen food, the $5 Catalina you get must be used on a “NEW” frozen food. This Catalina is reportedly rolling! UPDATE: Here are the frozen foods in the 3/15 weekly ad: DiGiorno or California Pizza Kitchen pizzas (12.7-34.2oz) are $4.49 each, limit 3, with Super Coupon. Policies to know:

• Walmart will price match any competitor’s advertised price. Bring the other store’s flyers with you to the store. While the policy doesn’t require this, it does speed the price-matching along.
   
• With the new coupon policy, Walmart will also accept other store’s STORE coupons with an actual price listed on them. For example, a Dominick’s store coupon advertising “.99 Ragu Pasta Sauce” would be accepted. A Walgreens store coupon advertising “2/$1 Morton’s Salt” would be accepted. (A Target store coupon for “$2.50 off Huggies” would not, because it does not show the actual selling price of the item.)
   
• With the new coupon policy, Walmart will also accept competitor’s Catalina manufacturer coupons. You can get a Catalina for $1 off Snuggle and use it at Walmart.
   
• Walmart’s new coupon policy specifically addresses coupon overage. It says “Coupons may exceed the price of the item. Change may be given or applied toward the cost of the basket purchase.”
   

I would print a copy and carry a copy of the coupon policy with you if you anticipate any issues.

I do not blog Walmart deals each week unless there is a weekly ad with noteworthy deals. Every store location’s regular prices are different, and Walmart does not issue a weekly ad every week. I’ve listed Walmart at the end of each week’s Deals writeup, because if you see any deals above that you want, you’ll likely also be able to do them at Walmart.
