Another new week… another week of cheap and free stuff!
(And for the second week in a row, I am getting these deals posted very late on Monday due to my insanely packed schedule… a big thanks to everyone that came out to my Super-Couponing 2 class Monday night too!) To everyone else, thank you for your patience…
Over at Wal-Mart, there are some cheap groceries this week! Wal-Mart has Green Giant Steamers frozen vegetables on sale for $1. Use the $1 coupon from 10/5 GM and go get some FREE vegetables! Note: At some Wal-Marts, these are priced at $1.27. So they’ll not be free, but they’re very cheap! I don’t list a lot of Wal-Mart deals because prices do vary by location, but either way, this is a good deal.
And if you’d like more veggies, Cascadian Farms organic frozen vegetables are $1.22. Use a $1 off coupon (10/5 SS has one too!) and pick these up for 22 cents each. Not all Wal-Marts carry this brand, so you may want to call first.
Betty Crocker cookie mixes are also cheap! They’re on sale for $1. Use a 75 cent coupon and pick these up for a quarter each. (NOTE: Printable coupons are now gone for these. 10/19 SS also has a 40-cent off coupon for these.)
Still at Wal-Mart, Sea-Pak Shrimp Poppers are $1.25. Use a $1 coupon and pick these up for just a quarter!
Heading to SuperTarget, don’t you want some really cheap coffee? Target’s website has a great coupon for $1 off Archer Farms coffee. If you’ve taken my Super-Couponing class, you know what to look for here — there is no specific size of coffee that we need to buy. So go buy the single bags (one-pot-serving size) which are $1.06… and pick these up for 6 cents each! These will make great stocking stuffers for Christmas too..
Still at Target, as IF we needed yet another Glade deal…! (For those of you thinking, what the heck, has Glade been on sale someplace for the past 4 weeks or better? YES it has. But this is the way those sales cycles sometimes work… and if you like free smelly things, here’s another deal for you! Target has a gift card promo running on Holiday Glade products where if you buy 4, you get a $5 gift card.
The Holiday scented oil candles and refills are the best items to use with this deal. Each of these are on sale for $2.50 each. Print this Buy 1, Get 1 Free coupon – and remember you can print 2 of most internet coupons. You’ll want to do so here, because if you use 2 coupons and buy 4 candles, you’ll pay $5.00 for 4 candles…. and get a $5 gift card back! Your candles just became free! Note: The 11/02 SS insert and the November issue of All You Magazine also have this coupon in it.
Because this gift card deal is only good on scents considered “holiday,” make sure you pick up ones that will work with the deal. How do we know? Scan the candle at the price checker, and if it qualifies for the gift card deal, it will tell you right there on the screen! Easy!
Over at Meijer, Chex Party Mix is cheap this week! It’s on sale for $1 a bag. Use the 50 cent coupon from 11/9 SS and get it for 50 cents a bag! Note: A lot of readers are saying their Meijers are sold out of the dollar size. don’t make a special trip just for Chex if you’ll be disappointed… but if you’re going anyway, go for it…
This Meijer sale runs through Wed. Nov. 12 at the following Meijer locations: Algonquin, Aurora, Bloomingdale, Bolingbrook, Elgin, McHenry, Oswego, Plainfield, Rolling Meadows, St. Charles. (Why not other locations? Meijer stores run on a weird sales cycle where these were LAST week’s sales at the other Meijers. Don’t blame me – that’s just how they work. And I know this irritates my Indiana readers to no end. I’m sorry!)
Dominicks has a pretty good deal on pop or water this week. There’s a coupon in this week’s flyer, and If you buy 3 Hallmark Expressions cards, you’ll get a free 8-pack of Coca-Cola (bottles) or a free 12-pack Dasani water with the coupon. Remember to buy the 99-cent Expressions cards, and you can do this for under $3! Some Dominicks also have stuffed toy dogs near the greeting cards. There’s a second promo going on the dogs where if you buy 3 cards, you get a free dog. So, get your 3 Expressions cards, a free pack of Coke or water, and a free stuffed dog too!
If you like Dominicks, the Sunday Chicago Tribune from 11/9 also has a $10 off $50 store coupon. If you have more shopping to do at Dominicks this week, be sure to take it along..!
Over at CVS, even more free shampoo! Garnier Fructis shampoo and conditioner are on sale for $2.99. When you buy one, you’ll get $2 back in Extra Care Bucks good on your next purchase. So, your Fructis is down to 99 cents! Add a $1 off Fructis coupon from 8/24. 9/14, 10/5 or 11/9 RP and you’ve made it FREE! You’ll pay $1.99 and get $2 back in ECBs!
Still at CVS, Crest Pro-Health toothpaste is on sale again! It’s $3.49, but you’ll get $3.49 back in ECBs when you buy it, making it FREE. Add in a .75 coupon from 11/2 PG or $1 from 10/12 PG, and you’ll make this a moneymaker… as they’ll be paying you 75 cents or a buck to take that toothpaste home.
With all the free toothpaste we’ve had over the last month, everybody in my reading and listening audience ought to have clean, sparkly white teeth! :)
Over at Walgreens, how about some really cheap getting-ready-for-Thanksgiving foods?
Cans of Libby’s Pumpkin are 99 cents with the coupon on the front page of the Walgreens weekly flyer. Pair that with this $1 off 2 coupon and pick these up for just 49 cents a can!
(And yes, last week on the Loop, both Johnny and I confessed that neither one of us likes pumpkin pie — but I DO like pumpkin cookies and plan on making a nice big batch now!)
Still at Walgreens, Betty Crocker frosting tubs are on sale for 99 cents with the coupon on page 3 of the weekly flyer. Pair this with a 55-cent off coupon and pay just 44 cents each! Remember to print 2 of those. If you want even more cheap frosting, use the 50 cent coupon from 10/19 SS and get another one for 45 cents!
Web freebies:
Free coupon for Star Fine Foods (they make olive oils & vinegar – coupon will be sent in the mail)
Free bag of Nutro dog or cat food (enter code “go4nc” and choose “Your Family”)
Free Carolina Hot Sauce gift sets for our troops! Use a military APO or FPO address

I just wanted to tell you that i went to Jewel on Sunday and picked up the Healthy Choice for $1.88 and got a $10 OYNO. I think you have to spend $20 shelf to get the CAT, but a great deal paired with the sale price, which I think ends today, so act fast!!

Can anyone tell me which Wal-Mart carries Cascadian Farms frozen veggies? I have looked and asked several times at the Super Wal-Mart on 31 in Crystal Lake.

Does anyone know which Wal-Marts carry Cascadian Farms frozen veggies?
Why don’t my comments show up after I post them?

Is there a way to print out only 1 of the target coupons? I had to print out all of them to get the coffee one.

Hi! I’m just wondering when Walmart changes their sales. I’m not a regular shopper there, but I would like to pick up a few things this week. Thanks!
On a side note, I love this site and really appreciate all the hard work you do. I do wish people would be thankful for what you are trying to do, rather than blaming you when something doesn’t work out!
Have a great day!

Hi Jill:
Just wanted to make a comment….I tried the Glade deal at Target but I discovered that the sale is for Scented Oil Candle Holder refills (not the holder itself) or for Glade candles. Also, the sign states the $5 Target giftcard is with a purchase of 4 products plus In Style magazine. I have plenty of Glade products (thanks to you!) but just wanted to clarify it in case someone was going to try it.

Don’t let negative people get you down. You have LEGIONS of us that appreciate what you are doing and if a deal gets messed up, OH well, move on.. you can always return your items or go to CS if need be.
I was so happy to stumble upon this CONAGRA catalina deal, an unexpected surprise that made a great sale even greater~!!

The Crest deal you listed for CVS, did you see it in the Sunday flyer or just marked on the shelf at your store? I can not find it either place. If the deal is on, is it the 4oz reg. pro health or the whitening. Thanks again for all you do!!

Hiya Coupon Queen!!
Love the deals every week, been able to use quite a few of them! Question though – do you know if RP and SS have different versions? I get the Daily Herald, and usually have been able to find coupons, but sometimes can’t. Just curious to see if you knew of anything! Keep up the fabulous work!

I’ve been looking for a Wal-Mart that carries Cascadian Farms Frozen Veggies…the new one in Crystal Lake does not. I called the one in Woodstock and got the run around. Does anyone know of a WalMart location that carries this brand? I have a bunch of the coupons and would love to stock up.
Thank you in advance!

Anyone find the single serving of the coffee? I went to a few Targets and am not seeing it. Is it with the larger size of the coffee or is it somewhere else in the store?

I originally printed one coupon for the Sea Pak Poppers. I gave them to my 15 month old & he LOVED them. So I had my mom help me on her computer & got 4 more coupons :) I just walked out of Wal-Mart in Crystal Lake with 4 boxes of shrimp ($.32 each!!!), 2 Glade candles ($1.50 off 2) and a Jack’s Pizza ($.75 off 1) for $5.46!
Thanks so much for your tips & basically teaching us all how to save money in this terrible economy.
