Hello, Super-Couponers! Turkey time is almost here, and the turkey deals are starting to pop up all over town. I’ve got some deals that will have you taking home turkeys as low as .25/lb… and even FREE!

JEWEL TURKEY DEAL – On page 9 of Section 1 of the 11/14 Chicago Tribune (the actual newspaper part) there’s a coupon for $10 off any Jennie-O, Farm Fresh, Perdue or Butterball fresh OR frozen turkey with the coupon and a separate $20 purchase.
This is a pretty good deal, particularly if you want a smaller bird. The ad shows sample prices with coupon:

16lb. frozen Butterball turkey – $15.84 after coupon (.99/lb.)
– Get another $4 off Butterball with the coupon in 11/7 SS or November All You(requires other groceries too) or this $1 off Butterball printable.

16lb. fresh Jennie-O turkey – $20.64 after coupon ($1.29/lb.)
The price, again, will vary based on the size of the turkey you’re buying – but $6.24 for a 16-pounder is a great price, and it’s pretty easy to spend the minimum $20 (pre-coupon!) at Jewel this week on other items, like…

Jewel’s running a little deal on Mrs. Smith’s pies and Breyer’s ice cream. Buy a pie at $3.99 and get a 1.5qt. carton of Breyer’s ice cream free. This deal gets sweeter (ha… no pun intended!) as many people have discounts on their Avenu electronic coupons for $1, $1.25 or $1.50 off one tub of Breyer’s Smooth & Dreamy ice cream varieties. If you have it on your card, the discount DOES ring off your already-free ice cream, provided you buy Smooth & Dreamy. So, you could be looking at pie AND ice cream as cheap as $2.49 for both!

“No Coupon Needed” Deals:
16oz. packages of Jewel margarine quarters are .79.
Homelife toilet bowl cleaner is $1.69 for a 24oz. bottle…
Deals continuing from previous weeks:

Competitor Coupon Deals
Did you know Jewel-Osco also accepts competitor coupons IF they’re for a competitor’s house brand? They sure do — it’s right in their coupon policy, but many shoppers aren’t aware of it!
If you have the new Dominick’s Big $60 Thanksgiving Coupon Book, there are two coupons in it for store-brand Safeway marshmallows (10-10.5oz) and .50 off store-brand spices that line up nicely to sales on the same Jewel-branded items this week.
Jewel brand 10-10.5oz marshmallows are on sale for .89. Use the .50 coupon from the $60 Thanksgiving book and pay .39!
Jewel’s Shoppers Value brand spice shakers are on sale for $1. Use the .50 coupon from the $60 Thanksgiving book and pay .50!
And, if you have any of the “$1 off any O Organic product” coupons from Dominick’s, Jewel’s house brand of organic milk, Wild Harvest is $3.19 per half-gallon this week – $2.19 with this coupon.
If you have the Dominick’s “Big $60 Thanksgiving Coupon Book,” Swiss Miss hot cocoa is on sale for $1 a box. Use the $1 coupon in the $60 Thanksgiving book and it’s FREE!
Jewel-Osco has launched a Facebook page. If you have questions directly for corporate, you can ask them there (and they answer promptly!) They’ve also got the free cookware promo under way, so save your stickers from qualifying receipts to earn free pots and pans.
Are you on the Jewel-Osco email list yet? Jewel has been making coupons available for many different products over the past few months, and they’re usually store coupons that you can stack manufacturer coupons with too. I’d recommend getting on their list if you shop there.

Share Something Delicious – here’s what’s inside.
$50 Kellogg’s “Your Ultimate Holiday Guide – here’s what’s inside.
Jewel meat deals:
- Jewel chicken drumsticks or thighs are $1.49/lb.
- Perdue turkey drumsticks, necks or wings are $1.79/lb. (it’s cheaper to buy a whole turkey!)
- Jewel Stockman and Dakota roasts are on sale B1G1F this week (these are pricey at $25.) This Sunday’s Chicago Tribune has a coupon for $5 off the roast on page 9, near the $10 turkey coupon. If you buy two roasts, use the $5 coupon on one and get the second free with the B1G1F, paying $20 for both, or $10 each.
Jewel produce deals:
- 1lb. bags of Jewel frozen vegetables or 12oz. Steamy vegetables are .69 each
- Yellow onions are .79/lb.
- Bulk Romaine, red or green leaf lettuce is .79/lb.
- Hard shell squash are .79/lb.
- Red seedless grapes are $1.28/lb.
- Anjou, Bartlett, Bosc or Red pears are $1.29/lb.
- Roma tomatoes are $1.29/lb.
- Farm Stand baby-cut carrots are $1.29 for a 1lb. bag
(Anytime meat is under $1.99 a pound (no matter what it is — beef, pork, poultry) it’s a buy in my book, because $1.99 is a cycle low and a good benchmark for meat prices — ditto for most produce. Seafood, by its nature, is more expensive per pound, but a good “buy” benchmark is $4 per pound or less for fish or shrimp.)
Note to my Safeway shoppers reading from outside Chicagoland: In Chicago, Dominick’s currently accepts expired coupons up to one year past the expiration date, so my coupon matchups for Dominick’s deals will include expired coupons. If an expired coupon matchup is provided, it will be noted with (exp) after the date. Also, in Chicago, Dominick’s does not double coupons (as other Safeway stores do) – if your store doubles, you’ll do even better with many of these deals. Also, in Chicago, previously-available ecoupons are being rolled into the “Just For U” section of electronic coupons available at Dominicks.com.
DOMINICKS TURKEY DEAL – The front page of Sunday’s flyer (which, by the way, is an unusual Sunday-through-Saturday flyer running through 11/20) shows Jennie-O or Safeway turkeys for .33 per pound with a $75 purchase and the same turkeys for .43/lb. with a $25 purchase.
Unless you’re spending over $75 at Doms this week, you’ll probably be better off at Jewel with their coupon. If you ARE spending over $75 at Dominick’s this week, go to Dominicks.com and load up the .29/lb. turkey coupon from the Just For U electronic coupons.
Butterball frozen turkeys are .99/lb. with a $25 purchase.
– Get another $4 off Butterball with the coupon in 11/7 SS or November All You (requires other groceries too) or this $1 off Butterball printable.

These are store coupons, which (in the case of the name-brand products) means they can be stacked with manufacturer coupons for even bigger savings. You can also now load these Super Coupons to your Fresh Values card via Dominicks.com and not have to clip them. Best bet?
- Nancy Martin 16oz. breads are .79 each with Super Coupon.

Note that Meijers in other states are on different schedules. The Illinois Meijers are about a week behind on the sales vs. Indiana/Michigan. If you’re in Illinois, these Meijer deals run through Wednesday. If you’re reading from another state, they ENDED Saturday at your store… Confusing? Yes.
AND, if you shop at the Illinois NILES or ORLAND Meijer locations, they haven’t been following the same sale flyer as the other Illinois Meijers, under the convoluted reasoning that because the stores are newer, people will shop there -without- as many products being on sale. O-kay.
For my Rockford-area shoppers (and Kroger shoppers too!) here are your Hilander sales for the current week…

Please read this supplemental post about the way coupons are scanning at Target, particularly with regard to the gift card deals noted below. There is a serious glitch in the way Target’s registers currently scan coupons for multiple items and coupons involved in gift-card transactions. Cashiers have been instructed to manually approve every coupon, but BE AWARE before doing any coupon deals at Target..
TARGET TURKEY DEAL: If you happen to need an Oster Turkey Roaster oven or an Oster buffet server, this is your week to buy either, because you can also get your turkey FREE as part of a great promotion they’ve got going. Buy any 10-24lb. whole turkey AND the roaster or buffet server (both priced at $27) and get a FREE $15 Target gift card.
This week, Market Pantry frozen turkeys are on sale for .68/lb. Buy the Oster roaster or buffet ($28.) Then, also buy a turkey. Here’s where it gets fun – if your turkey is 22 pounds (!) or less, it’s going to end up being FREE. A 22-pound Market Pantry turkey is $14.96. Buy it and the Oster appliance. Pay $41.96 and get a $15 gift card back – now, $26.96 for both.
If you buy a smaller turkey, you’re actually getting the turkey free AND bringing the price of the roaster down. A 10lb. Market Pantry turkey is $6.80. Buy it and the Oster – pay $33.80 and get a $15 gift card back – now, $18.80 for the roaster or buffet AND your turkey! Sounds like a deal to me :)
Butterball turkeys are .88/lb. here, and you can do the same Oster/gift card deal with the Butterball too, only it’s even a little better.
– Get another $4 off Butterball with the coupon in 11/7 SS or November All You(requires other groceries too) or this $1 off Butterball printable.

With the Heinz Gravy and Stove Top priced at .79 each this week, they’re good to work into the Butterball deal. You need to buy 4 to use the $4 off Butterball coupon. Here’s why this could be fun:
Stove Top is .79 a box. Target.com has a .50-off-2 printable.
Heinz gravy is .79 a jar. Here’s a $1-off-3 printable
If you bought two Stove Top and three Heinz gravy ($3.95), after coupons, you’d pay $2.45 AND qualify to use the $4 off Butterball coupon in 11/7 SS or November All You. A 22lb. Butterball turkey costs $19.36. Use the $4 off coupon, and it’s $15.36 – you’ll get the $15 gift card back, so… not including the price of the roaster, you’re now paying just .36 for your 22lb. Butterball turkey AND three jars of gravy AND two boxes of Stove Top! Whew! :)
AND then… mail in for the $5 Butterball rebate. Nice!

As always, these deals are guidelines for shopping. I can make no guarantee that these items will be on sale, in stock, or available at your area store. I can also not guarantee your Catalinas will print, your cashier will smile at you while you check out, or that your shopping cart won’t have a broken wheel. But I CAN teach you how to save money :)
And, also, as always, a huge thanks to the many readers who posted and emailed deals that made it into today’s Deals of the Week! We’re all in this together, and I sincerely appreciate everyone who spots and passes along good deals that we can all enjoy :) Thank you… to YOU!
* (All You magazine is not a requirement for using the site, but if you like coupons, you will probably really enjoy it. It’s a cheap ($2.49 an issue) magazine that is absolutely filled with coupons each month — typically $50-$100 worth per issue! You can subscribe to All You online and save about $10/year off the cover price. And depending on the values, if you use 2 or 3 coupons alone from each issue, you’ve recouped the cost of the magazine, and you’re on your way to even bigger savings.)

There is a $10 butterball rebate but you need to buy a movie too. I cannot find the $5 butterball rebate..thanks

Just a few things:
1. Jewel has those same coupons like in Tribune( except for turkey) in a little booklet I found by the flyers at Jewel, called Holiday joy made easy.
2. I saw this on MUM last week, at Target you can get free GasX. It costs about $3.89, use $3 Target Q and $1 mfr Q from 11/7 SS
3. At Dom those Vitality toothbrushes are a possible money maker. I had them on Just4U $3 Q and they were on clearance for about $10. I used old $10 Q from 9/26 PG (or new one), but the only thing was they rang up just as OralB, so I only got $1 e Q off. So only $1 MM for me.
4. Jill, you wrote in French’s onions deal that the Qs are in 11/17, instead of 11/14.
5. Carr crackers from Jewel deal have tearpads on their selfstanding displays for $1/2 Combine with that other one.
6. For Jewel kellogg’s deal there is another cat deal. If you buy any 3 or more Mini-Wheats cereal 14.5 oz or larger, any flavor, mix or match until 11/20 and get 1 gallon of free milk , up to $3.60, any brand, any flavor, on a future order with coupon.

Bought 4 Grain dish soaps yesterday and a Trib and only paid $1.81 for all! I sometimes have trouble with the cashiers not wanting to give the overage but the guy last night rang the 4 $1 coupons and then I gave him the wags Q. No problem, no beeps:)
jhoss7 says
Hello Jill,
Question – lately in Bourbonnais IL Jewel and Bradley IL Dollar there have been not coupons. My sundar delivery paper had the coupons. I would think most people get a paper for coupons, anyway you can ask the Tribune about this. I did ask Jewel and Dollar tree to follow up and I will also. I did return the paper at jewel. I actually asked them to open the adds first and just did not buy the paper, they were suprised also.
thanks

I remember reading that .29-.39 cents per pound is excellent price for turkey. We like the butterball turkey the best…with jewel coupon, it comes to .99 per pound. Can I assume that this is the best price at this point. I don’t think that waiting until next week’s sales will produce a lower price? the coupon does expire on 11/25 which does give me next week? what is your experience?
mluks says
http://www.Coupons.com just posted a bunch of Kellogg’s coupons that give you $1 off other products. For instance, $1 off cocoa powder when you buy 2 Cocoa Krispies.
This could work well with the Kellogg’s deal.

Heinz Gravy Q hit limit already. Bummer.

There is also a catalina going on for Pop Tarts from 11/6 to 11/28. Buy 3 get $2 ONYO, buy 4 get $3 ONYO, buy 5 or more and get $4 ONYO.

Does the Jewel buy 10 items get $5 off instantly deal stack? Would you be able to buy 20 items and get the $5 off twice? Thanks.
savinmoolah says
I found a Kellogg’s rebate form in the “Ultra” mid-week ad. Since I don’t have the coupon book (couldn’t find it) I used this ad instead. The only thing is it is more limited in what qualifies for the $10 rebate. I bought 4 Sunshine Crackers, 2 Keeblers Gram Crackers and 4 NutriGrain bars. I used $1/2 coupons I found on the Kellogg’s site and paid $20 oop plus tax. So, I’ll be getting my movie night out AND a $10 rebate!!! Fun stuff!!!
shlee says
at my Wag’s, not $4.49, so I paid $1.49 after Q’s instead of .49….how about other Wag stores, anyone?
shlee says
They are on sale at Wag’s, 2/$5. Buy 2 and use 2 $1Q’s from 11/14SS and the $1/2 Q in the Wag’s store book and they end up being $1 each….we saw better last year at Jewel, but it’s been slow for these crackers this year, so I thought this was pretty good.

Is anyone else having problems printing the Kelloggs.com coupons? It says they are printing but they do not print. Other coupons are printing today so I know it isn’t my printer.
HappyMom88 says
Jill,
Do you mean that one will pay $2.81 for the turkey and fixings? Since the stuffing and gravy came to $2.45 and the coupon is applied to the $19.36 off the turkey, that would equal $15.36 – $15 gift card = $2.45 + .36 + price of roaster. Is that correct?
mrsjd2 says
Does anyone know what movie theater the Kellogg’s Catalina would be good for? Or how I can find out? Living in the boonies, this deal only makes sense if I can use the coupon at a theater in my area. . .
Jennifer W says
I was just at Target yesterday. Campbell’s cream of chicken and mushroom are on sale for .50 apiece. I had a 1.50/3 q for any “great for cooking soups” and these qualify. I think I printed it from Campbell’s website. If you can find it– 3 soups for free! On another note–all of my coupons were scanned properly yesterday with no problems. Seems that Target is really working on their computer glitches. Yay!

There is a coupon for $1 off of 2 Betty Crocker Brownie mixes in the “Big Thanksgiving Coupon book” from Dominick’s. I bought 10 boxes ($4.90) and used 5 coupons. Did this twice with no problem.
Also, the Sierra Mist (natural and cranberry) are on sale at Jewel for $1. Use the coupon in the same coupon booklet mentioned above for them to be free, if you did not get them last week when they were on sale. :)

Went to CVS this morning and a lot of their Loreal foundation, blushes, etc. were on sale 75% off! In the 11/14 rp2 there are 2 Loreal coupons for cosmetic face products, one for $5 off 2 and one for $2 off 1. I bought 2 making them 62 cents each! Not bad for make up that is normally almost $13!!!! Read signs carefully though, they were pretty jacked up and I had to change my selection.

Target deal with buffet server even better! Palatine Target has Butterball turkeys marked at 60 cents a pound rather than 88 cents a pound. I asked if they were marked incorrectly and was told the 60 cents was correct!

1 20# turkey $12.23
I used the 50 cent off 2 Target Q for the Stove Top
I also used the $4 off Butterball AY Q
OOP $39.60 with a $15 Target card for next time.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Since the soup is buy one get one free at CVS this week I was able to get 2 cans of soup and the box of bars for 50 cents. Also the coupon will work with any 2 soups even though it says one must be high fiber. Make sure you scan your CVS card too. Jill, I bought 10 kelloggs items at Jewel yesterday and my cat for the movie tickets and concession cash didn’t print out. I went to customer service and the manager went to another register and rang up 10 boxes of one thing to force the cat to print. He gave it to me, but I have misplaced it between Jewel and home. What is my best option here? Should I email the catalina company and tell them that my cat didn’t print and hope they mail me another one? I even had my cashier print a duplicate receipt so I could send one in for the rebate from the coupon book. Your thoughts??

I am confused. Could someone, please, tell me if Mombo Sprouts are manufacturer coupons or are they affiliated with Whole Foods? Can they be stuck together in case, if I am shopping at Whole Foods?
I always thought – yes.
Today I closely looked at Whole Foods bi-monthly store magazine with coupons (the one you can pick-up at the front of the store) and noticed, that ALL “store“ coupons have a Mombo Sprouts logo at the bottom of the coupon.
Do you see my confusion?
Sorry, if this is a repeat question.
