Zatarain’s New Orleans rice mixes are on sale for $1 a box. Use this .75-off-2 coupon and pay $1.25 for two, or about .63 a box. There’s a $1-off-4 Zatarain’s coupon in 9/19 RP too if you want more cheap rice mixes…
If you like Maruchan Yakisoba noodles, they’re on sale for $1 each. Use the .50 coupon from 10/10 SS and pay .50!
Here’s a little deal on All Laundry Detergent and Clorox Bleach. 28-32-load, 32oz. bottles of All are on sale for $3.99. In the weekly Jewel ad, there’s a coupon for “Buy 32oz. All, get 82-96oz. Clorox Bleach FREE.” Clip that, and also cut the coupon for $1 off All from 9/26 RP. You’ll pay $2.99 for a bottle of All AND a bottle of Clorox – not a bad price if you need both.
If you didn’t use the $3 Nivea for Men body wash coupon from 10/17 RP last week at Walgreens, it’s pretty cheap at Jewel this week too… they’ve got it on sale for $3.99, and you’ll pay .99 after coupon.
Reader Icoupon2 spotted a good price on Kibbles & Bits dog food. She reports finding 17.6 lb. bags of Kibbles & Bits on sale for $13.15. There’s currently a Catalina deal running on K&B – buy one and receive a $1.50 Catalina. Use the $2.00 from 9/26 RP, pay $11.15 and get $1.50 back — paying $9.65 for the BIG bag. Nice deal!
“No Coupon Needed” Deals:
64oz. bottles of Jewel Apple Juice are $1.49 each…
64oz. cartons of Jewel Orange Juice are $2.50 each…
If you somehow missed ALL the paper towel deals we’ve seen over the past few weeks (!) Homelife Holiday (Halloween) paper towels are .89 a roll. (And… look for them even cheaper about this time next week :)
“Buy 10, Save $2” ConAgra Instant-Savings sale Wow… I questioned whether or not I should even blog this sale this week, as I’m pretty sure (that is, I HOPE!) you loaded up on ConAgra two weeks ago when the amazing $25/10 Catalina sale was running and these things were much cheaper..! At any rate, every one of these items will be .80 each when purchased in quantities of 10. There aren’t a lot of coupons out at the moment to drop these either, but if you truly haven’t had your fill of ConAgra yet, here you go: Act II Popcorn Andy Capp’s Fries Banquet Dinners and Pot Pies Blue Bonnet Margarine Chef Boyardee canned and microwavable pasta Crunch n’ Munch Gulden’s Mustard Healthy Choice soup Hunt’s Ketchup Hunt’s Snack Pack Pudding Hunt’s Spaghetti Sauce Manwich Sloppy Joe cans RoTel Canned Tomatoes |
Deals continuing from previous weeks:
Several readers have written to say they’ve spotted Cesar dog treats are on clearance for $1.99 at their stores. Use the $2 coupons from 10/3 RP to take them home… free! Here’s a $1 printable if your dog wants more cheap treats.
Here’s a little Catalina deal on McCormick Spices and Extracts. Buy two and get a $1.50 Catalina, or buy three and get a $3 Catalina (through 10/31.) Reader Letsshop notes that there are $1-off-3 McCormick tearpads in the aisle too. Most spices and extracts range from $1.50-$4.99. The 10/3 RP has a $1 off vanilla extract coupon too. If you bought three $1.50 spices and used a $1 tearpad coupon, you’d pay $3.50 and get a $3 Catalina back… .50 for three spices! Not bad :)
Jewel-Osco has launched a Facebook page. If you have questions directly for corporate, you can ask them there (and they answer promptly!) They’ve also got the free cookware promo under way, so save your stickers from qualifying receipts to earn free pots and pans.
Are you on the Jewel-Osco email list yet? Jewel has been making coupons available for many different products over the past few months, and they’re usually store coupons that you can stack manufacturer coupons with too. I’d recommend getting on their list if you shop there.
Jewel meat deals:
- Fresh chicken drumsticks or thighs are $1.29/lb.
- Perdue fresh whole roasting chickens are $1.49/lb.
- Perdue turkey necks, drumsticks or thighs are $1.49/lb.
- Look for coupon booklets in the meat department called “Go Hog Wild – Celebrate National Pork Month” with $1 off fresh pork coupons inside (exp. 11/15/10) to save even more on pork…
Jewel seafood deals:
- Fresh farm-raised whole catfish are $3.49/lb.
Jewel produce deals:
- 5lb. bags of Value Wise russet potatoes are $1.28 – CHEAP! That’s .26/lb.
- Broccoli crowns or cauliflower are .99/lb.
- Red or white onions are $1/lb.
- 1lb. bags of radishes or baby-cut carrots are $1
- 3lb. bags of Red Delicious, Granny Smith or Gala apples are $2.99 each – that’s about $1/lb.
- 2lb. bags of Wild Harvest organic carrots are $1.99 – that’s about $1/lb.
- Fuji, Braeburn or Jonathan apples are $1.49/lb.
- Anjou or Bosc pears are $1.49/lb.
- Honeycrisp apples are $1.99/lb.
(Anytime meat is under $1.99 a pound (no matter what it is — beef, pork, poultry) it’s a buy in my book, because $1.99 is a cycle low and a good benchmark for meat prices — ditto for most produce. Seafood, by its nature, is more expensive per pound, but a good “buy” benchmark is $4 per pound or less for fish or shrimp.)
Note to my Safeway shoppers reading from outside Chicagoland: In Chicago, Dominick’s currently accepts expired coupons up to one year past the expiration date, so my coupon matchups for Dominick’s deals will include expired coupons. If an expired coupon matchup is provided, it will be noted with (exp) after the date. Also, in Chicago, Dominick’s does not double coupons (as other Safeway stores do) – if your store doubles, you’ll do even better with many of these deals.
If you’ve been waiting for a dishwasher detergent deal, it doesn’t get too much cheaper than this! Dominick’s is running a Catalina sale on Finish Dishwasher Detergent products (through 10/31.) Spend $7-$9.99 on Finish products and get a $2 Catalina. Spend $10 or more on Finish products and get a $3 Catalina. (You can print the Catalina alert at www.couponnetwork.com.)
My longtime readers know how I feel about the Finish Quantumatic Dishwasher Detergent Dispenser — truly, one of the stupidest products released this year (more info here if you’d like to know why I feel this way…) But this week, I’m going to recommend you buy it anyway.
Here’s why. The 12-wash Quantumatic Dispenser is on sale for $5. Buying two will cost $10 and qualify you for the $3 Catalina. In the aisle, you may find $3 tearpad coupons for the Finish Quantumatic Dispenser. If you don’t, there’s one in the 7/18 SS (exp) or print some here and here.
Doing the math yet? With two $3 coupons, you’ll pay $4 for two 12-wash Quantumatic dispensers and get a $3 Catalina back — ultimately paying .50 per package. And, while there are only 12 washes per package, that works out to less than .05 per load.
If you have the expired $5 coupons for this from the 4/11 SS (some editions of the Tribune carried these) — with two, this is a moneymaker. And, if you’re buying multiples, split your orders up into two Quantumatics per transaction — buying $20 worth of Finish does NOT generate two $3 Catalinas.
Also note that this is one of those products, like razors, that is always going to be cheaper to buy the entire unit with a coupon/deal than it ever will be to buy refills for. It goes back to that business model where companies will sell you a dispenser for something pretty cheaply, hoping you’ll get hooked on it and buy the refills all the time. The refills for this thing are ridiculously expensive when you look at the per-load cost.
Here’s another way to utilize that Finish $10/$3 Catalina sale.. The 25-32ct. Finish Quantum Tablets and Gelpacks (NOT the dispensers or the refills) are also on sale for $5. Buy two and you’ve qualified for the $3 Catalina. Use a coupon on each:
$2.50 off – 6/27 SS (exp)
$1.50 off – 10/24 SS
$1 off – printable
.75 off – 9/19 SS (exp)
With a $1.50 coupon and a $2.50 coupon, pay $6 and get $3 back – knocking each box to $1.50 each, which is also .05/load.
With two $2.50 coupons, pay $5 and get $3 back – paying $1 per box, or about .03/load.
We only see a few super-cheap dishwasher detergent deals each year, so especially if you’ve got back inserts, it’s probably time to stock up. Again, you will only get ONE Catalina per transaction, so split your orders into two boxes per transaction.
Always pads (14-50ct) are on sale for $2.99. Use the $2 coupon from 9/26 PG and pay .99 a package!
32oz. bottles of Snuggle fabric softener or 70ct. sheets are on sale for $3.33. Use the $3 coupon from 3/28 RP (exp) and pay .33 for either one! That’s a deal.
Rice-A-Roni and Pasta Roni mixes are .88 a box. Buy three and use the $1-off-3 coupon from 1/3 RP1 (exp) and pay $1.64 for three, or .55 each…
Dominick’s is running their “Buy 2 12-packs Coca-Cola, get 2 Free” sale again, but this time, when you buy two, you’ll also get two boxes of Nabisco snack crackers (Wheat Thins, Triscuits) FREE. These sales always look good until you note that the Coke 12-packs are priced at a whopping $5.99 each! (That’s a high price for a 24-pack… but a 12-pack?!)
However, if you’re a member of Coke Rewards, you may have accumulated enough points for a coupon for a free 12-pack of Coke. This would be a good sale to use that with, as with one of those coupons, you’ll pay $5.99 for four 12-packs and two boxes of crackers. And if you have TWO rewards coupons for two free 12-packs, use them with this sale and EVERYTHING will be free.
If you have any “Buy One, Get One Free” Sobe coupons left from the online printable game earlier this year (no longer available) this would be a good week to use them up at Dominick’s! Sobe and Sobe Lifewater are on sale for $1 each. When you buy 10, you’ll get a $5 Catalina back (through 11/4!)
Even without coupons, you could buy ten for $10 and get $5 back, knocking these to .50 each. Any B1G1F coupons you’ve got will work nicely here. With 5 coupons, pay $5 and get $5 back… all FREE.
Many people have written about the “Buy 3, Save $3” Glade candle and spray sale currently running at Dominick’s. In the flyer, the ad text states that the Glade candles and sprays are $1.99 each, and with the $3-off-3 “in-store coupon,” you’ll pay .99 each. Assuming this was a Dominick’s store coupon, this one looked like a good deal until we learned that the coupon in the store is a MANUFACTURER coupon. As you cannot use two manufacturer coupons/discounts on the same item, this is not much of a deal at all. (Hint: Glade products will be FREE over the next month or two at Target…)
“No Coupon Needed” Deals:

As usual, there are Dominick’s Super Coupons* in this week’s ads too. You can also now load these Super Coupons to your Fresh Values card via Dominicks.com and not have to clip them! Best bets?

You will reach the minimum purchase amount based upon total purchases after your Club Card discount is applied. For example, the regular retail price of a box of Cheerios (after Club Card discounts) will count toward the minimum purchase required in order to use the Cheerios coupon.
Heading over to Meijer, here are your best deals for Meijer stores in in Algonquin, Aurora, Bloomingdale, Bolingbrook, Elgin, McHenry, Oswego, Plainfield, Rolling Meadows, St. Charles, and the Indianapolis area:

If you picked up any “Enjoy Life with Heart Healthy Olive Oil” Pompeian booklets in stores over the past few months, there’s a $1 manufacturer coupon inside these too that will net you more free oil.
This is going to fly, fly, fly off the shelves. Get a raincheck if you find yours empty — the Mealbox coupon’s good through 11/15.
Kraft Mayo or Miracle Whip are good buys this week too. They’re both on sale for $2 a jar. Buy two, print the Meijer Mealbox store coupon for $1-off-2 and stack it with a $1-off-2 manufacturer coupon from 9/26 SS. You’ll pay $2 for two, or $1 each!
Taco Bell products (dinner kits, taco seasoning, and so on) are all 50% off this week as well. There are some good deals to be had here with the $1-off-3 Meijer Mealbox store coupon…
Taco Bell seasoning packets are regularly .79 – .39 with the half-off sale. Buy 3 ($1.17) – after $1-off-3 coupon, pay .17 for 3, or about .06 each!
Or, why not be a “big spender” and go for the Taco Bell dinner kits (with shells, sauce AND seasoning!) They’re regularly $2.49 – $1.25 each with the half-off sale. Buy 3 ($3.75) – after $1-off-3 coupon, pay $2.75 for three kits, or .92 each! Reader Parsh5 notes that there is a $1 off the Taco Bell dinner kits in September All You that will make this FREE!
Kool-Aid is ridiculously cheap this week at Meijer too. (And if you’re thinking, “I don’t drink Kool-Aid,” remember that they make lemonade mix too!) Kool-Aid packets are on sale for .10 each. Buy 14 and use the “Buy 10 Packets, get 4 Free” coupon from 9/26 SS. You’ll pay $1 for 14 packets, which is about .07 per packet… that is CHEAP.

Note that Meijers in other states are on different schedules. The Illinois Meijers are about a week behind on the sales vs. Indiana/Michigan. If you’re in Illinois, these Meijer deals run through Wednesday. If you’re reading from another state, they ENDED Saturday at your store… Confusing? Yes.
AND, if you shop at the Illinois NILES or ORLAND Meijer locations, they haven’t been following the same sale flyer as the other Illinois Meijers, under the convoluted reasoning that because the stores are newer, people will shop there -without- as many products being on sale. O-kay.
For my Rockford-area shoppers (and Kroger shoppers too!) here are your Hilander sales for the current week…
If you need Halloween candy (and, let’s face it… we’re down to the wire now this week!) Hilander & Kroger have Fun Size bags of Reese’s, Kit Kat and other candies on sale for $2.29. Use the $1-off-2 Reeses or Kit Kat Fun Size coupon from 10/17 SS, buy two, and pay $1.79 per bag.

But why stop there? Don’t you want some more cheap dipables? Wholly Guacamole‘s a great buy too! It’s on sale for $2.50, Buy One, Get One Free. While some supermarkets’ Buy One, Get One Free sales require you to buy BOTH items, others don’t, instead charging half price for each item. Kroger does this. And so, you can buy just one package at $1.25, if you’d like. And if you like Guac, buy one and use the $1 coupon from the 10/10 SS. You’ll pay just .25 for it!
If you have more coupons, certainly, you can buy as many as you’d like… but if you only get one paper a week, this is a nice way to work those sales.

Readers outside Illinois will want to check with their local Kroger or Kroger-affiliated stores to determine how they handle coupon doubling.
7:00pm MONDAY UPDATE: Please read this supplemental post about the way coupons are scanning at Target, particularly with regard to the gift card deals noted below. There is a serious glitch in the way Target’s registers currently scan coupons for multiple items and coupons involved in gift-card transactions.
If you need Halloween candy (and, let’s face it… we’re down to the wire now this week!) Target has Fun Size bags of Reese’s, Kit Kat and other candies on sale for $2.49. Use the $1-off-2 Reeses or Kit Kat Fun Size coupon from 10/17 SS, buy two, and pay $1.99 per bag.
Here’s a $1-off-3 printable for the same if you need even more. (And don’t forget… cheap fruit snacks make great Halloween treats too! You still have a chance to pick them up for .24 a box or less at Dominick’s this week :)
If you’ve found bare shelves around town at the drugstores trying to get your free Schick Hydro razors, this next deal will have you taking them home not free, but pretty cheap. They’re on sale for $7.49 each at Target this week. When you buy TWO, you’ll get a $5 Target gift card. Buy two ($14.98,) use your two $4 Schick coupons from the 10/3 SS and pay $6.98. You’ll get a $5 gift card back, knocking your end price to $1.98 for two, or under a dollar each!
A couple of readers wrote to say that they spotted Coffee-Mate coffee creamer on sale for $1.50. If your store’s got it on sale too, use this $1.50 printable to take it home FREE (and remember to print two!)
In this week’s 10/24 SS, there’s a coupon for a free $5 Target gift card when you buy a 12-roll package or two 8-roll packages of Viva paper towels. October All You has a .75 manufacturer coupon to work in here. I wasn’t able to get to Target this week prior to posting the Deals, but this may be one to watch.
“No Coupon Needed” Deals:
Market Pantry 64oz. orange juice is $1.99 a carton…
Deals continuing from previous weeks:
One of my favorite annual Target deals is back! My longtime readers will remember the crazy deal that seems to come around each fall on Glade holiday air freshener sprays, candles, Plug-Ins, and scented oils!
The deal is this… Buy any 5 Glade Holiday items and get a free $5 Target gift card! We’ll be watching this one for the next two months (!) as it runs through December 26th, and many Glade items will go on and off sale prices during that time. The jar candles are currently $2.50 each — we will likely see better prices over the weeks ahead, so this is more of a big heads-up to the sale kind of post. I see some potential with the B1G1F and B2G1F coupons too if anything happens sale-wise within the next two weeks.
At any rate, here are the coupons you’ll want to clip and carry, likely for the duration of the sale.
Glade Air Freshener sprays
– Buy One, Get One Free – 9/26 SS (exp. 11/6/10)
– $1 off – “Right At Home” $30 coupon book (available in stores earlier this year) (exp. 12/31/10)

– $1.50 off 2 – September All You (exp. 12/31/10)

– $1 off any Scented Oil refill or two single refills printable
– $1 off 2 Scented Gel Plugins – 9/26 SS (exp. 11/6/10)
– $1 off 2 Scented Gel Plugins – printable

– Buy Two Refills, Get One Free – 10/3 SS (exp. 10/31/10)
– $2 off 2 candles or refills – Glade “Wonderful New Ways” $14 coupon book (exp. 3/31/11)
– $1.50 off 2 candles or refills – printable
– $1 off 2 candles or refills – “Right At Home” $30 coupon book (exp. 12/31/10)
– $3 off Lasting Impressions scented oil holder – 9/26 SS (exp. 11/6/10)
– $3 off Lasting Impressions scented oil holder – printable
– $1 off glass scented oil holder – 10/3 SS (exp. 11/6/10)
Complete details of this sale are in the 10/17 SS insert. There’s A NICE long window of time to get in on this deal, as in previous years the shelves have gone bare off and on due to the sheer volume of coupons available for the deal (and the number of couponers taking advantage of it!) AND, we saw Glade become big moneymakers during certain weeks with good sale prices. It’s got the potential to be fun again.
Target Notes:
NEW: WATCH CAREFULLY as your coupons are scanned at the register. Target’s registers are repeatedly ringing coupons at LOWER dollar values than are shown on the coupon. This is a known issue and Targets around the country appear to be affected — and there’s not much we can do, other than again, to watch as they’re scanned and ask the cashier to correct the amounts if they ring incorrectly.
Target has launched mobile Target coupons which you can load to your phone. They are Target store coupons that you can stack manufacturer coupons with. Load coupons here. You can also print these offers by going to www.target.com/save and entering your phone number.
Remember too that you get .05 off your total at Target for each reusable bag you bring and use.
Target meat deals:
- 80% lean all-natural ground beef is $1.99/lb.
Target produce deals:
- Bulk potatoes – Russet, red, sweet potatoes, yams or fingerlings – are .79/lb.
- Red Delicious or Granny Smith apples are .99/lb.
Drugstore Deals
On the back page of this week’s flyer, there are a bunch of FREE-after-Register-Rewards or rebate deals going on. Pay and get your money right back in the form of a Catalina for your next shopping trip:
Colgate Sensitive Toothpaste is on sale for $3.49 with $3.49 back in RRs! FREE! Now, use a coupon on it and make it a moneymaker. 10/10 SS has a $1 off – pay $2.49 and get $3.49 back! October All You has a .75 coupon too – pay $2.74 and get $3.49 back.
Contac Cold & Flu 28ct. tablets are on sale for $6 with $6 back in RRs! FREE too! But use the $2 coupon from 10/10 RP or a $2 printable, pay $4 and get $6 for a nice moneymaker too!
Chestal Adult Cough Syrup is on sale for $6 with a $6 mail-in rebate – FREE after rebate. Use the $1.50 coupon from 1/24 RP, pay $4.50 and get $6 back for a moneymaker!
Children’s Mucinex Syrup (4oz.) is on sale for $6.99 with $6.99 back in the form of a rebate. FREE too!
Pill Glide Swallowing Spray is on sale for $5.99 with $5.99 back in the form of a rebate. ANOTHER freebie!
As an aside, I will now confess that even though I am 30-something years old, I have never been able to swallow pills. Like a small child, I still take them with a spoonful of applesauce. This spray both fascinates me (there are enough other people like me to warrant a product like this?) and also frightens me. Spraying a pill with strawberry or grape slippery stuff does NOT sound like it would make it more appetizing in the least..! I could be wrong, but… is it worth me paying tax & the price of a stamp to find out? Time will tell.
Here’s a deal on Purex 3-in-1 laundry detergent and softener sheets! They’re on sale for $4.50 per 20-load package. When you buy two, you’ll receive $1 back in Register Rewards. If you have two $3 Purex coupons from 10/10 RP, pay $3 for both and get $1 back in RRs! That works out to $1 per package!
If you only have one $3 insert coupon from that date, and you like this product enough to pay more for it (hey, isn’t that every couponer’s dilemma?) print this $1 coupon for your second pack. Pay $5 and get $1 back, which works out to $2 per package. (Honestly, I think that’s a bit high — we do see these go FREE periodically, but the $3 coupon also expires on 11/6. Your call.)
Need more free and cheap gum? Mentos Gum is .99 with the store coupon in the weekly Walgreens flyer, limit 3. Stack it with the $1 manufacturer coupon from 10/3 SS and it’s free!
And, Trident Layers is also .99 a pack with the store coupon in Wags’ flyer, limit 3. Buy two and stack that with the $1-off-2 coupon from 10/24 SS, and you’ll pay .98 for two packs, or .49 each. There’s also a $1-off-3 Trident in the 9/12 SS1 – with this coupon, buy 3 and pay $1.97 for three, or .66 a pack.
These are free often too, but if you need them, this is pretty cheap… Halls cough drops are on sale for $1 a package. Use the $1-off-2 from 10/10 SS, buy two and pay .50 a bag.
Quaker One-Minute Oats are on sale for $1.50. Use the $1 coupon from the 9/12 RP and pay .50!
Coupon booklets currently found at Walgreens
Vitamins and Supplements – $40 in Walgreens store coupons for vitamins and supplements. All expire 4/30/11.
And finally, over at CVS, where it’s kind of a slow week…
Again with the late-to-the-party Halloween candy deal.. Fun Size bags of Reese’s, Kit Kat and other candies on sale for $2, limit 4 through TUESDAY only. Use the $1-off-2 Reeses or Kit Kat Fun Size coupon from 10/17 SS, buy two, and pay $1.50 per bag!
Dean’s Milk is in an ECB deal again too. Buy a gallon for $2.79 and get $1 back in Extra Care Bucks, limit 2…
“No Coupon Needed” Deals…
Gold Emblem spices are .88 a bottle, excluding pure vanilla extract…
CVS Tip: Remember to always scan your CVS card at the Coupon Center scanner in the store — it prints bonus coupons for you!

As always, these deals are guidelines for shopping. I can make no guarantee that these items will be on sale, in stock, or available at your area store. I can also not guarantee your Catalinas will print, your cashier will smile at you while you check out, or that your shopping cart won’t have a broken wheel. But I CAN teach you how to save money :)
And, also, as always, a huge thanks to the many readers who posted and emailed deals that made it into today’s Deals of the Week! We’re all in this together, and I sincerely appreciate everyone who spots and passes along good deals that we can all enjoy :) Thank you… to YOU!
* (All You magazine is not a requirement for using the site, but if you like coupons, you will probably really enjoy it. It’s a cheap ($2.49 an issue) magazine that is absolutely filled with coupons each month — typically $50-$100 worth per issue! You can subscribe to All You online and save about $10/year off the cover price. And depending on the values, if you use 2 or 3 coupons alone from each issue, you’ve recouped the cost of the magazine, and you’re on your way to even bigger savings.)

Jill, check the Walgreens ad again.. The Children’s Mucinex Syrup (4oz.), Pill Glide Swallowing Spray and Chestal adult cought syrup, are only free after MAIL IN REBATE…

These are all mail in rebates and not register rewards. I thought the same thing at first until I looked at the ad a lil closer

Adding another coupon to the list:
for those who buy the paper, there are peelies on the front for a free order of deep fried mushrooms at Brown’s Chicken. Looks like the fine print says exp= 10/31/10 and we still pay sales tax.
Not a huge deal, I know, but still… my family likes mushrooms! hehe
stretchingabuck says
Jewel has the Marzetti caramel dips BOGO at $4.99. If you didn’t use your $1 off Marzetti caramel dip (9/19 SS) the past 2 weeks, you could use them now. Combine with a recent tearpad of $2 off apples when you buy 2 Marzetti caramel dips and you have yourself a nice little combo.
Hope you feel better Jill!
Outlander says
Jill, I hope you feel better. Those Quantum dish tablets are on sale, but the smaller packs ( I think 20) are 2 for $10, not the bigger ones. That old $2.50 Q would not work, only the other one from the same paper. Also, watch for cashiers entering Qs manually. My Q for mentos beeped, and when she entered $1, it took of my total ( just like grocery at Jewel), and I only got $2 cat, instead of $3.
Sara Lee Smooth bread has exp Q somewhere in March, I think. I used it before, so I don’t know exactly. I think it’s $.55.
mjteller says
Sorry you are sick, get well fast, we need you! LOL! In 8/8 SS it expires on halloween so you might as well use it. There is another coupon to save $4 on any 6 trident, stride, dentyne, halls, etc. I’m thinkin if you want to stock up, you could get 6 bags HALLS for about .33 or a combo of trident and halls!

let me know how the Pill Glide Swallowing Spray works if you try it. I’ve never had a problem with swallowing pills but you are not alone…I know quite few adults who can’t. Would be great “gag” gift for a family member though.

There is a POST Pebbles Catalina deal running at MEIJER, however I didn’t see it advertised. But it worked for me!!
Buy 3 Post Marshmallow Pebbles Cereal in a single transaction, get a $2 custom coupon valid on your next order. Buy 4, get $3. Buy 5 or more, receive a $4 OYNO coupon!
Deal Idea:
Buy 5 boxes of Post Marshmallow Pebbles on sale for $2
=$10
Get back a $4 CAT
=$1.20 each! No coupons Needed!
It could even be lower if you have a coupon. I know I’ve seen a buy 2 get one free coupon… maybe from a 9/12 insert???…. which could make it $.80 each!!
Outlander says
You can’t use that IP for Classico sauce at Meijer. The Q is for 44oz jars, and jars on sale are 24oz.
QponK8 says
Did anyone else’s Trib not have any coupons in them? I bought mine a deals~no coupons. My supposed to be sunday delivery didn’t come. Grr. So I thought deals was cheating on them, since the last couple of times there was no RP in any of them. I bought a trib at the gas station~again NO coupons. What is going on? Jill Help!

When I tried to use my Coke Rewards coupons at Dominicks, they claimed they didn’t accept any coupons for free items. I know this is Dominicks and YMMV based on the phases of the moon and wind patterns, but I thought I’d give a heads up. Good luck! :)
msampson says
As for the Dom’s coke deal, I cashed in some Coke Rewards points, but it says they will mail the cetificate in 5-6 weeks…. Is there any way to cash in, but print the coupon/certificate to use sooner??

seems like they already hit their limit.

I am not able to use two man Q’s on this transaction because Jewel is not running the Bogo, it is a man Q that states both must be purchased to get the discount. How did you get both Man Q’s off?
Here’s a little deal on All Laundry Detergent and Clorox Bleach. 28-32-load, 32oz. bottles of All are on sale for $3.99. In the weekly Jewel ad, there’s a coupon for “Buy 32oz. All, get 82-96oz. Clorox Bleach FREE.” Clip that, and also cut the coupon for $1 off All from 9/26 RP. You’ll pay $2.99 for a bottle of All AND a bottle of Clorox – not a bad price if you need both.

My grandson (5 in kindergarten) was coughing lightly all weekend and this morning woke up congested but no fever-yet. I am sure he got whatever is going around which means I’m next :-( I really hope this isn’t what was mentioned.
Feel better soon Jill.

I had to spend my cleaning catalina at Dominick’s so I bought 1 Craisins and 2 almond accents among other stuff. I got my $1.oo off next order and another Save $1.50 on any three bags of Almond Accents. So I went back into the store for 3 more Almond Accents. Paid with catalinas and $2.07 out of pocket. I got another $1.00 off next order and $1.50 coupon as well. We enjoy the almonds on salad and so I was glad to pay $2 for 3 more bags!

Jewel also has Tyson breaded chicken products (nuggets, patties, etc.) for $4.99 (regular $7.49 by me) and there is a $1.00/1 coupon in the 10/10 SS flier.

The Tampax at the Romeoville Doms was only on sale @ 2.99 for the 20 ct packs. It did not include Pearl which is what the $2 off p&g q is for. I used it anyway and it worked. I don’t think that exp q is going to work for this deal.
The Always pads were only on sale for the 18 ct pack. This would make the other exp q not useable here as well. The $2 off q from the 9/26 p&g worked just fine for this deal.
Jaskowiak65 says
This is the “buy 5 get a $5 gift card” deal that you referred to in the Deals of the Week, right? Does it count if I use my B1G1 coupons? I have one B1G1 for the candles and one for the spray. (I also have $1 off ones)…. would the free ones count to the 5 needed for the gift card? I need them anyway– I am almost out of candles (perish the thought)
adinalp1 says
The problem I’m talking about is “shelf clearing” and it’s been talked about before but in my defense I have to say that most times coupon users go for the “jugular” and buy as much as they can for cheapest. But then let’s not pretend that we are thoughtful and think about our neighbor. And I sure did get my free razors over the last month but definitely not 8 at a crack. And as they come in thick cases I do believe 8 is about all you can fit on a CVS shelf. (Then we wonder why cashiers view us (coupon users) like the plague). And that’s all I will say about this. I think I’ve made my point for those who want to see it.

For those of us without a nearby Hilander – Wholly Guacamole is also on sale at Target this week for $2.50. I used the $1.50 off one printable from a week or so ago, and scored my guac for an awesome $2! (Normally $4.49 at my Target.) If you already used your printable, or didn’t get the chance to print it out, you could use the $1.00 off one from 10/10 SS. It’s not $0.25…but it is more than half off! Don’t forget your own bag…which makes the guac 5 cents cheaper! Ole!

Just an FYI…Meijer can’t issue rainchecks on the sausage sale since it is unadvertised. Also, check the store ad before asking for any other rainchecks. Some itmes do say no rainchecks will be issued.
Did get the raincheck for the oil, Taco Bell – packets and dinner. Nice limits (12) but won’t need them.

The new Orland store had their kool aid for .20 not .10. I know Jill doesn’t mention this location because they often do not follow the ad. I would recommend calling to see if they are selling the sale items at the price your hoping for before going.
