Deals of the Week for October 29, 2012

I also noticed quite a few of the Equaline vitamins and supplements were on clearance at my store – even better prices if they’re kinds that you need.

SavingStar has a new ecoupon for $5 off a $12 purchase of Stone Ridge Creamery ice cream! At my Huntley Jewel, the 1.5qt. cartons are regularly priced at $3.49. Buying four would cost $13.96 and get you $5 back, netting you four for $8.96, or $2.24 each. Not a bad price for ice cream in the absence of another deal…

This ecoupon is good through 11/28, so we’ve got a lot of time to wait too and see if Stone Ridge Creamery goes on sale before then. I’ve seen it drop around $2.49-$2.99 at times.

There’s a new “Spend $20, Get $5” SavingStar ecoupon for Culinary Circle products! You can use this on whatever you’d like, but this week, 12-36oz. Culinary Circle pizzas are on sale for $4.97.

Buying four pizzas puts you dangerously close to the total – $19.88! What could we get that’s reallllly cheap to fill in here? Well, if you’re on Jewel-Osco’s email list, they sent out coupons for $1.50 off Culinary Circle crackers, $2 off Culinary Circle dips, and $1.50 off Culinary Circle Trail Mix.

At my store, the prices of those items were:

Crackers seem to be the best bet. Add a box and a $1.50 coupon. Pay $20.87 and get $5 back from SavingStar. That’s $15.87 for four pizzas, or like paying $3,97 each – plus “free” crackers.

This ecoupon doesn’t expire until 12/6 too, so you can always hang onto it and look for a better deal down the line…

If you haven’t yet used the $5-off-$20 Essential Everyday SavingStar ecoupon at Jewel (it expires 10/31!) here’s a way to get some cheaper paper towels.

Essential Everyday 8ct. regular rolls or 6ct. mighty rolls are on sale for $5.99. Buy four packages and use the $5-off-$20 ecoupon. That’s $18.96 for four, $4.74 per package, or .59 per 8ct. roll.

Or, buy three packages ($17.97) and fill in the last $2.03 with cheaper EE items to get to $20.

8-10oz. boxes of Margaritaville Shrimp are on sale for $5.99. Use this $1 printable and pay $4.99! (There was also a different $1 printable recently that has since hit its limit, but if you held onto it, use it here.)

36oz. (2.25lb.) tubs of Papa Charlie’s Italian Beef are on sale for $6.49. Use the $1 coupon from the 10/21 SS and pay $5.49! That’s about $2.44/lb., a good price for Italian beef.

Several of my readers pointed out last week that the $5-off-$15 Wild Harvest SavingStar ecoupon is good to work into a deal on Wild Harvest 100% maple syrup!

12oz. bottles of Wild Harvest organic 100% maple syrup are $7.49 at my (Huntley) Jewel. Buying two puts you at $14.98..! You do need to go over $15 to use the eoupon. I picked up a 2lb. bag of Wild Harvest carrots for $1.99 as a filler to push me over the $15 mark. I paid $16.97 and got $5 back. That’s $11.97 for two syrups, or about $5.99 each – good price. (Plus, the carrots!)

If your Jewel has the syrup priced a little higher (say, $7.99) it could work in your favor – you’d only need to buy two syrups to do the deal.

If you’re a real maple syrup lover, as we are, it does bring the syrup to a good price. The Wild Harvest ecoupon expires 10/31, so if you’re looking for a syrup deal, do the deal before then…

There’s a new “Spend $10, Get $3” Catalina offer on a variety of pain relief products and vitamins. Honestly, I’m not seeing anything crazy-good here.

The best deal I saw at my store (Huntley) wasn’t even in the ad. Maybe your store will have this too, but mine has One A Day kids’ Scooby Doo vitamins on clearance for $3.49. Use the $1 coupon from the 10/21 RP or a printable. Pay $2.49, a pretty good price for kids’ vitamins. And if you buy 5 bottles, these -should- qualify for the Catalina too as they’re 50-count. Get $3 back, and you’re at $9.45 for five, or $1.89 each.
