Hello, Super-Couponers! I hope you’re ready to enjoy another week of shopping and saving! Last week I had a new experience – grocery shopping in Chicago, then bringing my groceries home on the train. Chicago’s NBC News asked to go shopping with me, but due to crew scheduling, I was asked to come downtown to shop. (It’s a different experience planning a trip when you know you’ve got to carry everything back home with you versus putting it in the car!) So I stuck to smaller items that my son and I could carry home in a couple of bags on the Metra. The segment is scheduled to air during the 5:00pm news on Wednesday, 9/21 on Chicago’s NBC 5.
We have a few deals this week with coupons expiring TODAY, Sunday 9/18, so I got the Deals posted a little earlier than normal if you’d like to take advantage of those. (While Deals of the Week will always be live by 6am CST Monday morning, I always post it as soon as I’m done writing!)
This week, I’ve got a blog giveaway featuring a “Save Lids to Save Lives” prize pack from Yoplait Yogurt, which includes FREE yogurt, a large tote bag, and other great items! Head over to the link if you’d like to enter.
Want to learn to save big with coupons? Attend a Super-Couponing workshop, or order your copy on DVD! This week’s Super-Couponing 2: Saving on Everything! live workshops are taking place in Channahon, Roscoe, and Loves Park, Ilinois. Or, order your own Super-Couponing DVD and learn at home, at your own pace!
Now, it’s time for Chicagoland’s Deals of the Week once again. I’ve got all the best supermarket and drugstore deals of the week written just for you… all in one place, on one page! As always, grab your scissors and coupon inserts, and get ready to start clipping this week, as bunches of bargains and freebies are heading your way!
This week’s newspaper contained two coupon inserts: SmartSource (SS) and RedPlum (RP.) The Parade magazine also has a page of pain relief coupons, though there appear to be two different versions. One has a $2 coupon for Bufferin aspirin, $1 off Doan’s Pain Reliever, and more. The other has a $1.50 coupon for Tavist, a $1 coupon for Comtrex, and more.
To our NEW blog readers: If you’re interested in learning to save on almost everything you buy at the grocery store, why not attend a live Super-Couponing workshop? Many are FREE, and you’ll learn how to cut your grocery bill 50-70%! You can also learn at home with my Super-Couponing DVD workshops… and in about one hour, you’ll be saving with coupons like a pro! Learn more!

“Deals of the Week” is written assuming you are using the inserts from the Chicago Tribune (or, if reading from outside Chicagoland, the largest newspaper serving your market area. That largest paper has the most, highest-value coupons. The content, coupons, and dollar amounts of the coupons in the RedPlum and SmartSource inserts differs by paper, so to coupon effectively, you do need to be getting the paper with the “best,” highest-value coupons.)

Here are your best deals this week with the $100 coupon book (going in the order that they appear in the book…)
– 5lb. bags of Value Wise Russet Potatoes are .99 with the $1.50 coupon from the book.

– 3lb. bags of Apples are $2.49 with the $1 coupon from the book.
– Jack’s Pizzas are 5-for-$10 with the $5 coupon from the book. Stack this with the $1 Jack’s coupon from 9/11 RP and pay $9 for 5, or $1.80 each.
– Old Orchard 100% Apple Juice or Healthy Balance (64oz.) is $1.29 with the .40 coupon from the book.
– Seattle’s Best Coffee (12oz.) is $5.99 with the $2 coupon from the book. Stack this with the $1.50 coupon from 8/14 SS. You’ll pay $4.49. (There are also $1 coupons in the August and September issues of All You, or use a $1 printable.)
– Olay Definity, Pro-X, Regenerist, or Total Effects has a $4 store coupon. There’s a $3 Regenerist moisturizer coupon in the 8/14 RP. Regenerist moisturizer runs around $20-$25 depending on regular price, so this could knock it to $13-$18. The 8/14 RP also has a “Buy Regenerist, get Olay Body Wash free” coupon to use here if you’re buying Olay.
– Equaline vitamins are Buy One Get One Free with the coupon from the store ad.
Essential Everyday Toaster Pastries (6ct.) are $1.69 (regular price at most Jewel locations.) Use the $1 off coupon in the new Jewel Fresh For Fall coupon book and pay .69! Note that these coupons are limit 1 per transaction.
Speed Stick and Lady Speed Stick deodorants are on sale for $2.99, Buy One Get One Free through September 21. Buy two and use the Buy One Get One Free coupon from 9/11 SS2. You’ll pay… NOTHING… and get TWO FREE!
Mini Super-Couponing lesson: Why does this work? When you use a B1G1F coupon during a B1G1F sale, you will buy none and get two free. Here’s why… and remember, it’s important to think of your coupons AS cash. If you walk into the store and give them $2.99 in cash, how many deodorants will that pay for? Two — because the store is selling you two for $2.99. Now, look at your B1G1F coupon. What is its value? Up to $3.99. This coupon pays the price of the first deodorant with its value ($2.99) and the second is free with the store’s sale. You WILL pay tax on the pre-coupon price, as always… but after coupon, both items will be free.
It’s important to note too that you do not get coupon overage with a free or B1G1F coupon when the value is “up to $3.99.” Legally, the cashier must enter the price of the first item, which in this case is $2.99. The store’s B1G1F sale makes the second item FREE. If you like learning coupon tips like these, check out my Super-Couponing workshops or DVDs!
Jewel-Osco information:
Are you on the Jewel-Osco email list? Jewel regularly sends out coupons to match with their current sales, and often they’re store coupons that can be stacked with manufacturer coupons!
Jewel meat deals:
- Aaron’s Kosher Frozen Turkey (10-20lb.) are $1.79/lb.
- 1lb. chubs of Jennie-O Fresh 85% lean ground turkey are $1.99 each
Jewel seafood deals:
- 4oz. single portions of salmon, tilapia, and other varieties of fish are $1 each – that’s $4/lb.
Jewel produce deals:
- 5lb. bags of Value Wise Russet Potatoes are $2.49 – that’s about .50/lb.
- 2lb. bags of Farm Stand carrots are $1.29 – that’s about .65 each
- Gala, Golden or Red Delicious apples are .88/lb.
- Bartlett pears are .88/lb.
- Yellow flesh peaches are $1.99/lb.
- Mangoes are $1 each
(Anytime meat is under $2 a pound (no matter what it is — beef, pork, poultry) it’s a buy in my book, because $2 is a cycle low and a good benchmark for meat prices. This is also true for most produce. Seafood, by its nature, is more expensive per pound, but a good “buy” benchmark is $4 per pound or less.)
Let’s go to Dominick’s… View weekly ad | Load Dominick’s Just For U ecoupons
Note to Safeway shoppers reading from outside Chicagoland: In Chicago, Dominick’s does not double coupons (as other Safeway stores do) – if your store doubles, you’ll do even better with many of these deals. Also, in Chicago, support for previously-available ecoupons (Cellfire, ShortCuts and PGEsaver) have been discontinued. Ecoupons are now available in the “Just For U / Coupon Center” section of electronic coupons available at Dominicks.com.
Dominick’s is also offering Deal Match, where you can load price-matching offers from Jewel and Target to your Fresh Values Card. Try it at www.Dominicks.com.
Dominick’s Super Coupons:
These are store coupons found in the weekly Dominick’s flyer, which (in the case of the name-brand products) means they can be stacked with manufacturer coupons for even bigger savings. You can also load some of these Super Coupons to your Fresh Values card via Dominicks.com and not have to clip them. Best bets this week?

Freezer frozen food coupon book ($5 off $15 frozen food)
Don’t forget to check Just For U for exclusive ecoupons.
On Facebook? Request a FREE carton of Open Nature natural ice cream from Safeway, while supplies last. These coupons were available on their Facebook page a few months ago too, and if you got one from the earlier promotion, this would likely be a good week to use it at the store too. (Read on…)
This week, Dominick’s is running a Catalina sale: Spend $75 on groceries and receive a $10 Catalina for your next shopping trip. The usual exclusions apply, including anything fluid in the refrigerated dairy cases… The Catalina you receive expires 9/25/11.
Dominick’s is also running a new gas Rewards Points promo. For every $1 you spend in the store, you earn 1 point. For every $1 spent on gift cards (not including Amex, PayPower, MasterCard, MyChoice, Dominick’s or Visa) you earn 2 points, though through October 29th, you’ll earn 4 points for gift cards. Fill a prescription and earn 50 points.
Then, for every 100 points, you’ll get .10 off a gallon of gas at a Dominick’s fuel station. You can earn up to 1000 points to be redeemed for $1 off each gallon of gas. Points expire at the end of each calendar month, with September earnings expiring 10/31/11.
Post Pebbles (14.5oz.) cereals are on sale for $1.99. They’re also involved in a Catalina sale – buy 6 or more and receive a $5 Catalina!
No current coupons for these, unfortunately, but buying six boxes will cost you $11.94 and you’ll get a $5 Catalina back. That’s $6.94 for six, or $1.16 each.
Betty Crocker fruit snacks (8oz.) are on sale for $1.99. Use any of the following to drop them to $1.49-$1.74:
– $1 off 2 Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks, Shapes, Fruit By the Foot or Gushers – Que Rica Vida “Regreso a Clase” coupon book (home mailer)
– .50 off 2 – 8/7 GM, printable, printable, printable
The weekly ad shows a Buy One Get One Free sale on frozen foods. Of course, Dominick’s has thoughtfully omitted the prices of all of these items from the ad.
* During weekends that I can’t make it out to physically price-check, I use Safeway’s online delivery prices as a guide. The following prices were taken from browsing Safeway’s delivery prices and are usually very close, if not identical, to what I find when I go to Dominick’s. They MAY vary at your local store. But it’s worth bookmarking if you’ve ever wondered “I wonder how much this costs at Dominick’s.”
Here are your products and matchups. Prices were obtained from Safeway.com’s online delivery price guide:
Banquet Brown & Serve Links or Patties (7oz.) – $2.19*
Breyers Ice Cream (1.5qt.) – $6.59*

If you have the $5-off-$15 frozen foods coupon from the freezer coupon book, use it here for even better deals. But, with Dominick’s not allowing a coupon to be used on a free item, any of these “off-2” coupons will actually require you to buy FOUR to use them.
Dominick’s is also running a “Buy 3, Save $5” sale on frozen seafood. Again, with no prices in the ad, Dominick’s message seems to be “You’ll be saving some money here, but we didn’t feel it necessary to tell you how much. Why don’t you make a trip to the store to see if any of this stuff is worth buying?”
Well, why don’t we find out ahead of time. *Prices again were gathered from Safeway’s online delivery price guide.

Dannon Danimals, Crush Cup, Coolision, and Drinkables yogurts are $1.89 per multipack (4-6ct.) Use the .50 coupon from 8/14 SS and pay $1.39!
Pillsbury Scrambles or Grands! Biscuit Sandwiches (7.4-11.5oz.) are on sale for $2 each. Use the $1 coupon from 9/11 GM and pay $1!
Meijer is running a “Buy Four Cereals (any brand, any size) and get 1 FREE gallon Meijer Milk” sale. The milk does exclude chocolate or organic.
Well… there’s a lot of cereal at Meijer! There are no prices in the ad. Reader Julia writes that she read over at The Shopper’s Apprentice that Food Club bagged cereals are $1.15 each. These sound like Malt-O-Meal type knockoffs of Cheerios, Rice Krispies, etc. But buying 4 of these will gain you FREE milk.
Well, with milk running around $2.99/gallon, if you buy 4 bags of Food Club cereals to get the milk, it will cost you $4.60 – that’s only $1.61 more than simply buying a gallon of milk. If you’d be buying milk anyway, it works out to .40 per cereal.
Check out this deal on Ice Mountain Bottled Water that also comes by way of The Shopper’s Apprentice. 1-liter bottles of Ice Mountain bottled water are .79. Buy 3 and get a $1 Catalina, or buy 6 and get two $1 Catalinas!
Here are your coupons:
– $1 off – Facebook printable
– $1 off 2 – 8/28 RP
Now, Meijer will typically adjust down a coupon that exceeds the price of the item. But, with two Facebook printables and two $1-off-2s, the deal looks like this:
Buy 6 1-liter bottles of Ice Mountain: $4.74
Minus two $1 printables and two $1-off-2s: .74
Pay .74 and get two $1 Catalinas back. ALL FREE and a moneymaker!
If you’re not on Facebook, but you have more insert coupons, do the deal this way:
Buy 6 1-liter bottles of Ice Mountain: $4.74
Minus three $1-off-2s: 1.74

Note that Meijers in other states are on different schedules. The Illinois Meijers are about a week behind on the sales vs. most of Indiana/Michigan. If you’re in Illinois, these Meijer deals run through Wednesday. If you’re reading from another state, they ENDED Saturday at your store… Confusing? Yes.
AND, if you shop at the Illinois NILES or ORLAND Meijer locations, they typically haven’t been following the same sale flyer as the other Illinois Meijers.

Drugstore Deals
Heading to Walgreens (View weekly ad)…
Coupon books to look for at Walgreens: Walgreens Infant Care (has a $2 coupon inside for Walgreens brand diapers, which often go on sale. All expire 12/2011.)
Hyland’s Night Time Cold & Cough 4 Kids syrup (4oz.) is on sale for $4.99. Buy it and get $4.99 back in Register Rewards, making it FREE!
Blistex Lip Soother (.15oz.) is on sale for $2. Buy it and get $2 back in RRs, making this FREE too!
Trident gum is super cheap after a big coupon stack. 9-18 piece packs are .79 each, limit 4, with the store coupon in this week’s ad. The September Walgreens coupon book also has a store coupon for .50-off-2. (Yes, Walgreens’ registers do allow both of these coupons to be stacked together, as the values are different!) Top this super stack off with the $1-off-3 manufacturer coupon from the 9/18 SS. Whew!
So here’s how to do the deal:
Buy 3 packs of Trident.
The first store coupon will make them .79 per pack ($2.37)
The second, .50-off-2 store coupon will take .25 off each pack (now $1.62)
The manufacturer coupon will take $1 off, leaving you with a balance of .62 for three, or about .21 each!
It’s rare that we see a deal on Softsoap liquid soap refills, so this one’s not too bad. The 56-ounce Softsoap refills are on sale for $7.99, Buy One Get One Free. Here’s a .70 printable. Print TWO of these coupons and use one on each bottle.
With two coupons, pay $6.59 for two bottles, or about $3.30 each. Considering that a “good” price lately for the 7.5-8.5oz. Sofsoap has been running around $1 per pump, and we haven’t had too many great deals on those lately, this is a fair price for the refill.
Here’s a great deal on M&Ms! The 9.9-12/6oz. bags are on sale for $2.99, or $2.50 each when you buy in twos. M&Ms are also involved in a monthly Register Reward deal: Buy $10 worth of M&Ms and get $5 back in Register Rewards. (UPDATE: Many are writing asking where this RR deal was advertised. It originally appeared in the 8/29 Walgreens flyer and is a month-long deal.)
The 9/11 RP has a coupon for $1 off Pretzel M&Ms. So, buy four bags of M&Ms to do the deal.
With one $1 coupon, pay $9 and get $5 back in RRs. That’s $4 for 4, or $1 per bag.
With two $1 coupons, pay $8 and get $5 back in RRs. That’s $3 for 4, or .75 per bag.
With three $1 coupons, pay $7 and get $5 back in RRs. That’s $2 for 4, or .50 per bag.
And, with four $1 coupons, pay $6 and get $5 back in RRs. That’s ONE DOLLAR for four bags, or .25 each!
The 8/28 RP has a $1-off-2 coupon for M&Ms too, and the September All You has a $1.50-off-2 coupon too! With one of each, buy another four bags. Use the $1-off-2 and the $1.50-off-2. Pay $7.50 and get $5 back — that’s $2.50 for 4 bags, or about .63 per bag — still a great price!
If you like Prevacid Acid Reducer, it’s free after a coupon/rebate deal this week. The 28ct. 15mg. Prevacid is on sale for $19.99. The 9/18 SS has a coupon for $4 off AND a mail-in rebate form. Use the coupon, pay $15.99, and then send in the rebate. For the cost of a stamp, it’s yours!
Herbal Essences or Aussie Hair Care (6-14oz.) are on sale for $3.99 each, or 2-for-$6. When you buy two, you’ll get $2 back in Register Rewards. The 8/7 RP has a $1 coupon, and the 8/28 PG has a $1-off-2. If you have two $1 coupons, it’s a better deal, but you can do it either way.
With two $1 coupons, pay $4 for two and get $2 back in RRs – that’s $2 for two, or $1 each.
With the $1-off-2 coupon, pay $5 for two and get $2 back in RRs – that’s $3 for two, or $1.50 each.
Tom’s of Maine toothpaste and deodorant are both on sale for $3.99. Buy it and get $2 back in RRs. There are $1 coupons for each in the 9/18 SS. With a $1 coupon, pay $2.99 and get $2 back, making your Tom’s of Maine just .99! We don’t often see deals on this, so if you like it, it’s time to stock up.
This next deal is dedicated to my brother-in-law, who is brand-specific to his favorite deodorant, Mitchum. Both Mitchum and Lady Mitchum are on sale for $1.99 with the store coupon in this week’s Wags ad. Stack this with the $1 coupon from the 8/21 SS and pay .99! The 9/11 SS1 has a .75 coupon too for more better-priced Mitchum.
Angel Soft 12 double-roll bath tissue is on sale for $5.99. Use the .50 coupon from 8/14 RP and pay $5.49.
Gain dish detergent (11oz.) is .99 with the store coupon in this week’s ad. Use the .50 coupon from 8/14 RP and pay .49!
Walgreens store coupon deals:
Morton Iodized Salt (26oz.) or Nice Baking Soda(16oz.) are .50 each, limit 4, with the store coupon in this week’s ad.
Single rolls of Big Roll bath tissue or Tuf paper towels are .50 each, limit 6, with store coupon.
No Nonsense Essential Basics Knee Highs are .33 each, limit 6, with store coupon.
This month, all Walgreens and W brand items are on sale “Buy 1, Get 1 50% off.” If there’s anything Walgreens-branded that you need, you might as well buy another at half off.
One deal I spotted with this – 12-large-roll packages of Walgreens Ultra Toilet Paper are $3.99. Buy another and the second will be $2 – that’s 24 rolls for $5.99, or about .30 per roll.
This sale will work out to decently-priced diapers too if you have the $2 coupon from the infant care book. W Jumbo Diapers are regularly-priced around $8.99 at most stores. If you buy one, the second pack will ring at $4.50. With the $2 infant care coupon coming off both packs, you’ll pay $11.49 for two packs, or about $5.75 each.
I was curious to see if there would be any deals with the “Spend $15, get $7 in RRs” deal on Excedrin. However, the Excedrin’s priced kind of high this week:
24ct. – $4.49
50ct. – $7.49
100ct. – $9.49
Prices were gathered at the Huntley Walgreens. Here are your coupons:
– $1.50 off 8oct. or larger – 9/18 SS, 8/21 SS, 8/14 SS
– .75 off 20ct. or larger – 8/21 SS
And… have you seen Walgreens Web Pickup? It’s a new service where you can shop online, then pick your completed order up at the store. And yes, you can USE coupons! Cathy and Marissa at the fantastic Huntley Walgreens shared some additional info today too… if you use the code “TRYWPU” you will get $5 off your first order of $20 or more.
Your local Walgreens employees would love it if you use this service this month, because the Walgreens location with the most web orders will receive a bonus/party/prize/something fun for their employees. So why not give it a try? Huntley even has a flyer up that says “You can take advantage of all our sales and use coupons! Want to make sure we will have an item in stock before you get here? Use Web Pickup and we will have the item ready for you!” They have a point – you’re driving to the store to shop anyway… why not have them get everything ready for you?
So, for example, here’s an easy web pickup order you could do this week: (Hint: ALL of this will be FREE after the deal…)
1 Hyland’s Night Time Cold & Cough 4 Kids – $4.99
1 Blistex Lip Soother – $2
4 bags M&Ms – $10
3 packs Trident – $3
1 Nice Baking Soda or Morton Salt – .99
That’s $20.98. Get $5 off for using Web Pickup with code “TRYWPU”. Then, with 4 M&M’s coupons, the Trident coupons outlined above, and the .50 Nice/Morton coupon, you’re at $9.11! Go to the store, hand over your coupons… and get a $4.99 Hyland’s RR, a $2 Blistex RR, and a $5 M&M’s RR! That’s ALL FREE and a $2.88 MONEYMAKER!
A big thanks again to Cathy and Marissa (and all of the staff at the Huntley Walgreens) for the heads-up on the Web Pickup promo!
UPDATE: Several readers have noted that the Walgreens Web Pickup service does NOT include every item in the store or in the ad – the RR deals are priced higher, and despite the store saying you can use coupons, the website wants the order paid in full from home via a credit card before you pick it up. Confusing… yes. Until they get everything onboard so the prices and offers are the same, this may not be worth doing. Sorry guys. :(

DEAL IDEAS:
Huggies Slip-Ons are your best deal here if you’ve got enough $3 coupons. To do an all-Huggies deal, buy three jumbo packs of Huggies Slip-Ons ($27.) Use three $3 coupons. Pay $18 and get $10 back in ECBs! That’s $8 for THREE jumbo packs, or $2.67 each! And, you’re three jumbo packs closer to getting a FREE pack with the “Buy 6, get 7th free” diaper deal.
For a mostly-PediaSure deal, buy two PediaSure ($20) and two Johnson’s Baby items ($3 each, now $26.) Use a $3 Pediasure coupon, a $2 PediaSure coupon, and two $1 Johnson’s coupons. Pay $19 and get $10 back in ECBs. That’s $9 for everything. Look at it as getting two PediaSures for $4.50 each (less than half price) plus two “free” Johnson’s products.
While I wish there were coupons current for PediaLyte, this isn’t a bad deal if you want to stock up. Buy 6 PediaLyte ($24) and one Johnson’s Baby product ($3.) Use $1 coupon for the Johnson’s product. Pay $26 and get $10 back in ECBs. That’s $16 for 6 Pedialyte, or $2.67 per bottle, plus “free” Johnson’s item of your choice.

Wrapping things up with Walmart…
Bar-S Franks (12oz.) are on sale for .88 each. Buy two and use this $1-off-2 printable. You’ll pay .76 for two, or .38 each!
Gain dish detergent is .97 every day at Walmart. Use the .50 coupon from 8/14 RP and pay .47! (Through 9/30.)
“No Coupon Needed” Deals:
RoTel Diced Tomatoes (10oz. cans) are .88 each
Super Walmart meat deals:
- Fresh boneless skinless chicken breasts are $1.88/lb.
- Pork spare ribs are $1.98/lb.
Policies to know:
- Walmart will price match any competitor’s advertised price. Bring the other store’s flyers with you to the store.
- With the new coupon policy, Walmart will also accept other store’s STORE coupons with an actual price listed on them. For example, a Dominick’s store coupon advertising “.99 Ragu Pasta Sauce” would be accepted. A Walgreens store coupon advertising “2/$1 Morton’s Salt” would be accepted. (A Target store coupon for “$2.50 off Huggies” would not, because it does not show the actual selling price of the item.)
- With the new coupon policy, Walmart will also accept competitor’s Catalina manufacturer coupons. You can get a Catalina for $1 off Snuggle and use it at Walmart.
- Walmart’s new coupon policy specifically addresses coupon overage. It says “Coupons may exceed the price of the item. Change may be given or applied toward the cost of the basket purchase.”
I would print a copy and carry a copy of the coupon policy with you if you anticipate any issues.
I do not blog Walmart deals each week unless there is a weekly ad with noteworthy deals. Every store location’s regular prices are different, and Walmart does not issue a weekly ad every week. I’ve listed Walmart at the end of each week’s Deals writeup, because if you see any deals above that you want, you’ll likely also be able to do them at Walmart.

As always, these deals are guidelines for shopping. I can make no guarantee that these items will be on sale, in stock, or available at your area store. I can also not guarantee your Catalinas will print, your cashier will smile at you while you check out, or that your shopping cart won’t have a broken wheel. But I CAN teach you how to save money :)
And, also, as always, a huge thanks to the many readers who posted and emailed deals that made it into today’s Deals of the Week! We’re all in this together, and I sincerely appreciate everyone who spots and passes along good deals that we can all enjoy :) Thank you… to YOU!
* All You magazine: If you like coupons, you will probably really enjoy it. It’s an inexpensive magazine ($2.49 an issue) that is absolutely filled with coupons each month — typically $50-$100 worth per issue! Subscribing via the pink banner on the right drops the price to $1.67 per issue. Depending on the values, if you use 2 or 3 coupons alone from each issue, you’ve recouped the cost of the magazine, and you’re on your way to even bigger savings.)

The Q on coupon network says its good for the 8 oz foaming hand soap size…not on a 56 oz regular soap refill?

i register, and it never comes with a print button…… sadness!!!

The M&M coupon is $1.00 off any 2 bags. So if you buy 4 for $10.00 minus 2 coupons your total would be $8.00 and get back $5 in RR. For a total of $3.00 for 4 bags or .75 each.

Thanks for posting early, Jill! Always appreciate your help finding the best deals. Just wanted to point out that the Angel Soft toilet paper at Walgreens is on sale for $5.99 – $.50 man Q = $5.49 not $4.49 so it works out to about $.46 cents per roll.

On the Meijer pillsbury biscuits on sale for $2 this week there is also $1 on m-perks after the stack they will be free and while you are there the campfire marshmallows are on price cut for $1 there is also a $1 on m-perks to make these free also (these are the huge ones)
Also on the wags scott naturals check your q’s that print at the register I had a $2.50 off scotts natural man q so after stack I scored them for $1.50 :)

If you want to do that OPen Nature ice cream deal! Their freezer cases are totally empty and they had some kind of power failure. They don’t have any Open Nature at all in the back either and have no clue when they’re getting more. The woman seemed really annoyed I asked about it even.
Also I know the ad says Open Nature is $4.99 but the tags in LITH say $3.99. If you are doing Jill’s deal with the pizzas you might need to add 1 more pizza. A way around the limit 3 is that Dominick’s has the Jack pizzas on Deal Match for Jewel’s $2 each limit 5. So you could get 3 for $1.99 and another one for $2 and do the same deal to make up for the cheaper ice cream if you put the Deal Match on their card!

Jill what order should those Trident coupons go in? I know if you do it wrong they cam beep.

Is the Walgreen’s rr for M&M’s unadvertised? I don’t see it in my sales ad.

Can’t find in the Riceland rice ad, and looking to price match somewhere else (shelf cleared). Was this an UNadvertized sale?

Has anyone done this with the items Jill recommended. I’m on the Web Pick Up site and have loaded Trident, M&Ms and Salt into Cart. However, I cannot fine the Hyland’s Cough & Cold or the Blistex Cold & Allergy. I need these to hit the $20 for the $5.00 off. Thanks,
Shari

i could not find the mini wheat coupon you said was in the 9/11 and the 8/28. Is there supposed to be one?
youngaroo says
How can I confirm and show my Walgreens that I should get a RR for buying 4 M&M’s (the 9.9 oz size)? I don’t want to go there and not have it print up and lose my coupons. It looks like there are some people who got the RR on your site and others who did not.

Finally!!! Don’t know what did the trick, but I’ve gotten Red Plum in the last 2 papers. Thanks for your efforts Jill!
dancingwolves says
they have it on sale for $2.49 with their $100 booklet coupon…there is a mfg coupon in the Dominick’s muscular dystrophy booklet for $1 so it ends up being $1.49 a bottle. So if you don’t mind the rendered animal fat (our water is so hard I can over look this ingredient) it’s a pretty good deal.
Hamptons Mom says
The coupons in the 9/11 SS2 is for $1 of 3 individual cups of Dannon Activia Selects or a 12 pk of activia so I don’t think you can use it for the deal at Jewel with the 4 packs that are on sale.
amymac87 says
Jill mentioned $1.39 almond breeze almond milk, where is this from? I didn’t see any coupon
mburke221 says
I also could not find the Blistex or the Hyland’s cough syrup (or the Nice baking soda either) using the web pickup service app. I called my local Walgreens and spoke to a manager. He told me that because this is a new service, the entire store inventory is not yet online. Only the items that are carried by all stores are there now. So we won’t be able to find every deal in their ad by using the web pickup service.

You can clip a $1.00/1 Pillsbury Grands Scramble on Meijer’s MPerks and get one pkg of biscuits for free with the MF coupon.

I know that the price of these cereals are high and over my benchmark for cereals. However my mom has seen blinkies for free milk when you buy 2 of the Crunchy Nut cereal(I believe). So I’m thinking:
6 Crunchy Nut cereals @2.99 each= $17.94
use 3 blinkies for free milk and earn 2 more coupons for milk
So $17.94/11 items = $1.63 each
Not to bad of a price???
(Also can we use additional coupons on the cereal since the milk Q’s apply to the milk)

I got some great cat food/treat deals today for my Mom. Dominicks had Crave cat treats B1G1 and as mentioned above the 9/18 RP had a B1G1 coupon.
Last week’s Jewel coupon book had a store coupon for free Temptations treats if you bought a 3lb Wiskas. My Jewel (Downers Grove Ogden Ave) had Whiskas on sale for $4.49. I used the $2 Whiskas coupon from the 9/18 RP.
So, I ended up with 3lb of cat food and 3 bags of treats for $2.49. The cat will be happy. :-D

Tried the Barilla pasta thing at Meijers Bloomingdale and didn’t get a Catalina. My daughter tried at Meijers in Oswego and no Catalina. Does this only work at certain stores?????

So, I went ahead and placed my order and picked it up today. Everything worked great. Paid $5.13 OOP and got 8RR (3RR for Revlon and 5RR for M&Ms). While I was there I did a separate order for the 2 items I couldn’t find online – the Hyland’s Cough syrup and the Blistex. So got another 5RR and 2RR !
So, the Web PU works!!

My JFU had the Lucerne Greek yogurts for $.69 each (on sale this week for $.89). Did anyone else get a catalina coupon in the last few weeks for B2G1 Lucerne yogurt? I think I got it when I bought some yoplait greek recently. Anyway, I used it for the Greek yogurt yesterday, and even though I told the cashier they were $.69, the register took off the $.89 and she left it that way. Nice!

The Olay rebate’s last day was 9/16 – even without this it was still a great deal with a combined $7 off. There was not only a coupon for B1 get a free Olay body wash, but also a B1 get a free Secret deoderant. I had 2 sets of inserts so bought 2 eye creams and got 1 body wash and 1 deoderant (got a 2-pack within the limit allowed!). It would have cost $43.38 for 2 eye creams, but instead I spent less than $30 and walked out with 2 Olay Regenerist eye creams, 1 Olay body wash and 2 Secret deoderants.

I was wondering if anyone posted seeing the Jewel/Osco Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration flier in the Wednesday, Sept 18, Tribune? If you still have your paper, go and dig it out! Lots of good coupons.

I am wondering if when you buy the required

I was at target today and saw the following deal: 2 packs of Crest Cavity Protect Toothpaste are 2.99 buy one get a Oral B tooth brush free. I had a $1.oo off coupon for the tooth paste and $0.75 off the tooth brush that came from P&G brand savers… sorry don’t know the date. So with the two coupons. Its 2 6.5 oz tooth pastes and a tooth brush for 1.25. I like my tooth paste free (.99 with a 1.oo coup.) but this is still a good deal since I have not seen .99 toothpaste in a while.
PS this was at Highland Park Target, and I did not notice it in the ad.
